Briana has been an absolute lifesaver! I booked her on very short notice when a work trip came up unexpectedly, and she was incredibly accommodating and easy to coordinate with. My dog, Phoebe, is quite shy and reactive, which can be challenging for anyone new, but Briana handled her with so much patience, care, and understanding. Knowing Phoebe was in such capable and reliable hands gave me complete peace of mind while I was away. I will definitely be using Briana again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate dog walker!

Chelsea is an absolute lifesaver and the best dog walker we could have asked for! She is super reliable, communicates quickly, and treats our pup like her own. Cooper fell completely in love with her and especially Sundae! He’s been staring out the window looking for her to come back. Five stars aren't enough—we will definitely rebook!"

About: Whether you need a daily companion or a longterm caregiver, I am delighted to make the most of my time with your pet. I most commonly schedule extended stays with my current clientele, but daily visits/ stays are certainly services I provide. My pet sitting experience dates back to my college years, but I've acquired a more consistent clientele list over the past 5-6 years. I can accommodate specialty dietary needs and administer medications. It is important to prioritize enrichment, such as walks and playtime, to keep your pet happy. I have a vehicle equipped for safe travel, in the event that a vet appointment is scheduled. I currently do not bring pets into my home. I've found that most animals, especially anxious or high-need animals, tend to thrive best in their own homes. I can maintain their regular routines while surrounded by the sights, sounds, and smells they are familiar with. I do free consultations to meet all clients and pets in order to get acquainted with their personalities and routines.

About: I’ve owned pets ever since I was able to and grew up with dogs and cats. I started walking neighbors dogs when I was 10, and have never stopped. Since having a family we raised 1 yellow lab - trained and and nurtured him in his elder years. We have since rescued a Shepard mix and a black lab. I help my friend care for area pets when she has overflow in her own pet care business. I’ve been an elementary teacher for 33 years- 20 years at a school for the deaf, so I do know sign language. I have summers off and am available during the school year as well. I would visit and play with your pet while you are away, as I know how I feel when we travel and need to leave our dogs behind.

Tyler has been walking my Golden, Max, for a couple months now and he is the only one I would trust with my Max! Max already knows when Tyler is on his way and waits for him looking out the window. Tyler is very friendly and gentle even with my older dog. Max always comes back tired from his walk, which is a great help to me! Thanks Tyler!

About: BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE- I have my BA in psychology with a specialization in animal behavior. I’ve loved animals all my life but I became passionate about a career in training when I started as a dog trainer at Petco when I was 18 years old. Soon after, I was lucky enough to work as an exotic animal trainer at Six Flags in Jackson, NJ. Here, I learned so much about training, and felt a calling to transfer what I learned to the pet dog industry. Along my journey, I adopted a dog that challenged me to no end. He’s the dog that quite literally forced me to become a trainer! My love for him pushed me to become certified through CATCH Dog Training Academy. I’ve interned at St. Hubert’s in Madison twice where I focused on behavior modification in shelter dogs and studied appropriate play in dog play groups. I currently work full time as a dog trainer in my area. I have been fostering with Sheryl’s Den in North Jersey for the past 8 years, and have fostered over 30 dogs. I’m comfortable and skilled in handling dogs most people try to avoid. My experience has helped me to understand dogs in a new way but it’s also helped me to have a unique appreciation for dog owners. So many owners love their dogs like their own children, which means they want their dogs treated like family when they can’t be with them. I know how hard it is to leave my dog with friends or family when I’m away, which is why I want to provide a loving home to your dog. Your pup can sleep on the couch, bed, or crate if they prefer, but he’ll never be alone at night or scared- this I can promise you! I do private, in-home dog training so my schedule is very flexible! I stay within 30 mins of my house and I’m usually only gone for 2-3 hours at a time. While your pup is in my care I will respect your wishes and provide the services exactly as you request. This includes any training goals, details like providing meals/treats at their normally scheduled time, or making sure your pup has his favorite toy to cuddle with at night. Being away from home can typically be very stressful for dogs, especially when they’re in a busy kennel with other dogs barking. At my home, I have one 8 year old, well socialized old man who only wants to snore at night, never bark. No children are in my household so your pup will not be bothered by kids. Whether it’s to train, board, or hang out for playcare, I consider your dog my dog for his stay!! I’m typically home most of the day. If I have to leave for a training session, I’ll be out of the house for 2-3 max at a time. My house has gates throughout it to assure your pets safety at all times to provide them supervision and separation from other dogs if they prefer their space.

  • 96% can help with daily exercise

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
