Knox was also having belly issues most likely from stress, and she took such good care of him. She updated me the whole time with pics etc. and spent lots of time with him. I was so stressed leaving him, but she put me at ease. We are blessed to have found Rita!”

About: I have been passionate about dogs ever since I was a child but because experienced working with dogs and cats (and some bunnies) while working for the Humane Society of Memphis and Shelby County. I was a veterinarian assistant for one year and then became an adoptions Manager for three years. This was the most fulfilling experience of my adult life, being able to help animals and the community daily. I recently lost my closest companion, Xander, about a month ago. He was 13 years old and I had him since he walked into the humane society at two months old. Through him I gained even more experience with aging dogs, medical care and many behavioral changes as he aged. While using positive reinforcement training we navigated 6 military moves, life adaptions to aging and the introduction of two kittens. I will take all this experience and use it to provide the same amount of love an attention for you furry family members as I did for Xander. I am currently unemployed and have most days free as well as can stay over night or board animals in my home. I have a very flexible schedule and am happy to work with any clients schedule as needed. I currently only have two cats in my home, so I’m able to provide boarding for cat friendly animals. I have a fenced in back yard and am usually not gone from the house for more than four hours. I also am available for staying over nights at clients houses for a more comfortable experience for everyone in the family.

About: Although I’m new to professional pet sitting, I’ve spent years caring for my own dogs and cats and helping friends and family care for theirs. I have experience feeding, walking, playing with pets, and providing companionship while making sure they feel safe, loved, and well cared for. I understand that every pet has its own unique personality and routine, and I’m happy to follow your instructions closely to ensure they receive the care they’re used to. I’m reliable, patient, and genuinely love animals. My goal is to care for your pet the way they need while you’re away, giving you peace of mind knowing they’re in good hands. My schedule is very free and flexible therefore, I can spend as much time as needed with your pet after I get up and get ready for the day. I would make sure your pet has clean food and water first. Then for dogs I would take them out on a walk or with permission to a dog park to run around and play with other dogs. If you have a fenced in yard I would personally be happy to run around with them there as well. For indoor cats I would do the same but instead play with them using toys or giving them a scratch and sitting with them.

“This was a last minute thing, as one of my co-workers informed me of Rover.com, so I went on and did an immediate search within my zip code and found several sitters. We reached out to Rachel because she was so close to our home we felt it would be convenient for both our dogs as well as her if she needed to tend to her own needs. Rachel met us the very next day and was prepared with notebook and pen to take notes, so we walked her through everything and she had very few questions. She also worked at our vet and was comfortable giving medication to dogs since our greyhound takes several meds in the morning and evening and this went well. No complaints from our side, she did keep us informed and left the house as she found it. Thank you Rachel, see you next time.”

About: Dogs have been a part of my life since I was 8. I have two pups of my own and adore them. I know what it’s like to worry and miss them while working or away on a trip - let me help alleviate some of your concerns! I will follow your care instructions, spoil them with affection and send you pictures so you can breathe easier. I am reliable and I am a hard worker. If I promise to be there, I will be! Hope to have the chance to meet you and your pets! I am a full time video producer. The hours I can work are usually evenings, weekends and holidays. I do have some flexibility though, so if you’d like to request a different day I’m happy to work that out. I will support whatever safety measures you have in place for your dog. If your yard is fenced in I will let them meander. Otherwise I can take them to a dog park or for a walk (I have reliable transportation). I won’t give them treats you haven’t approved of and will maintain any dietary restrictions. If I see anything out of the ordinary in their behavior I’ll let you know.
