I’ve never had to leave my cats before when family couldn’t take care of them, and Mildred was the best person I could have hoped for when it came to leaving them for the weekend - she did her best to be sure she met both cats, even though one is very people-shy, and in every update I could see Willow getting more comfortable with Mildred around. I was so excited and impressed that the first time they met, she had Willow playing with her before the meeting was over! I really don’t think I could have found anyone better. Pickles would get his love at the start of the visit and then Mildred would play with both cats, so much that I think they both of my slightly overweight cats slimmed down a bit just from the exercise! I came home and they’ve been asking me to play almost constantly - they clearly missed us, but there were no signs of the stress I usually notice after I’ve been away, and no new bald patches on anyone even after a recent bout of stress-grooming after our move. Very communicative, lovely with our animals, made sure I knew that if weather caused issues with getting home on time I could reach out to make sure the cats weren’t left alone. Truly a wonderful experience and we’re so grateful for the care she gave our kitties.”

About: I have pet sit dogs and cats many times for my family. Pets have always been a part of my family, mostly dogs and also sometimes cats. Also at one point an aquarium of fish. Currently I do not have any pets of my own because they are not allowed in the rental lease. I also know of some of the natural area trails and parks in the nearby area that would be good to take dogs for a walk at. My current schedule for pet care can be fit to a wide range of times most days. Other current work activities are mainly involving the start of a small farm type business and volunteer work. I make sure that safety is always a priority and taken into account, one of the main areas of focus being to keep any doors monitored and closed so that a pet does not go outside by accident. Also keeping awareness of any food or other objects in a client's home that a pet could get to by accident.

I work full time at a restaurant in town, but my schedule is fairly open morning-afternoon, and late nights. I’m also occasionally able to pop out of work when needed in case of emergency I’m very understanding of cats body language, and respecting their space if they need it! I think it’s important to recognize that cats are often independent companions who don’t want a stranger in their space, but I love to snuggle them up if that’s their thing :)
About: Dogs have been a part of my life since I was born. Whether it was the family dog or one of my own, they've always been a part of my world. Numerous friends have asked me to dog sit for them, or even provide kitty playtime when they are out of town. I have experience with senior dogs and animals that require medication or special needs. I currently work full time as an assistant manager of a local hotel, but will be providing pet care on my days off which are Tuesday and Wednesday, as well as after work which usually ends around 6pm. Safety is a high priority when it comes to our loved ones. When I am around dogs and cats, I am always reading body language and taking my cues from them. I believe in making sure every adventure we go on together is safe and controlled. I am attentive, professional, and flexible if the situation calls for it.
About: I've taken care of dogs as long as I can remember, but have been doing it as a side job since I was about 12. I love all dogs, whether they are big, small, old, or young. I am currently working in the morning and early afternoons, so evening and night (walks, check-ins, etc.) would be ideal for my schedule at the moment! I currently provide walking services for another family in our community. At this time I am available daytime and early evening care. I can visit, feed and walk or play with your dog or cat.
