“Danielle did a great job with our cat. Ginger will rarely come out to visit with anyone who provides drop in visits. She let Danielle pet her and visit with her a few days while we were gone for a long weekend, we would definitely ask her to care for Ginger again.”

“Hannah made me feel so safe leaving our puppies during a really hard time in our lives. We were in the process of moving but had to be at a wedding. Our dogs were freaked out about the total lack of anything in our house & then their parents left of top of that??? Hannah swooped in and ensured that with each visit she sent incredibly detailed information about their activities, what she did to take care of them & at least 4 pictures :) what a relief. I could not recommend Hannah highly enough. 5 stars seems too few ❤️”

“So thankful for Heather watching our babies!! She spent time with them, tended to them, and provided us with updates and photos. Wouldn’t trust anyone else with our babies!”

About: I love animals, I have experience caring for animals since I was a child. In my family we have always been animal lovers. My family and friends have given me the confidence to care for their pets. Me encantan los animales, tengo experiencia cuidando animales desde niña. En mi familia siempre hemos sido animal lover. Mi familia y amistades me han dado la confianza para cuidar a sus mascotas. Currently I am not working, I only study, I am a housewife and I have 3 girls and my pets, I have the time to take care of your pet. Actualmente no estoy trabajando, solo estudio, soy ama de casa y tengo 3 niñas y mis mascotas , tengo el tiempo para cuidar a tu mascota. I have a fenced garden, and the animals can be inside the house. I cannot take care of aggressive dogs or dogs that do not get along with other dogs since I have my daughters and my pets in the house. Tengo el jardin vallado, y los animales pueden estar dentro de la casa. No puedo cuidar a perros agresivos o que no se lleven con otros perros ya que tengo mis hijas y mis mascotas en la casa.
“This was my time hiring a pet sitter and I wasn’t totally sure what to expect. I thought it would feel weird to have a stranger at my place, but it really wasn’t. Logan was professional and responsive. She even scooped the litter for us, which was a luxurious surprise. I can tell my cat is a happy guy.”

“Alexus did a great job caring for our elderly fur baby. It was a great relief to be able to leave her in her own environment while we were on vacation. I am very thankful I found Alexus!!”

About: I have fostered 3 dogs, hosted a Sniff Spot in my 1.5 acre backyard (a private dog park rentable by the hour) and successfully trained the one dog I raised. Throughout my experience with dogs I have done a lot of research (read books watched videos and took a class) on how to train and read dogs’ body language. I am a gig worker so I have a lot of free time during the week. Therefore, I’m able to spend quality time with your pup to offer the care and attention they deserve. With a wide open yard, a pond and critters to chase your dog won’t get bored here! I have a fenced in 1.5 acre backyard with a seasonal pond. I like to crate pups inside the house when I’m not present. Regular feeding and potty breaks with some mental stimulation mixed in. And of course lots of pets and belly scratches!
“This is Tania’s third time watching our dogs. She has dog sat for my Great Danes twice before, which is amazing in itself, but this time I added my two small dogs and she did great. Tania is super kind and follows direction so well. I will absolutely continue using Tania as my dog sitter! She’s the best.”

About: I’ve had dogs in my life for as long as I can remember and I love everything about them. Big, small, energetic, lazy, I’ve dealt with them all. If there is anything you need done I’m sure I’ve done it or can learn to do it to help make a positive experience for you and your pet. I currently work full time but need some extra cash so I can always make time for whatever you need to help you and your pup out! As a former military service member and full time mommy, I can assure you that your fur baby is in good hands and will be treated as one of my own.

About: I’ve spent most of my life caring for dogs belonging to my family, friends, and neighbors. Over the years, I’ve cared for dogs of different breeds, sizes, personalities, and even multiple dogs at the same time. Every pet is different, and I enjoy getting to know what makes each one feel comfortable and happy. I know being away from their owners can be stressful for some pets, so I always take a calm, patient, and gentle approach to help them feel safe and loved. My goal is to make sure they’re comfortable, well cared for, and getting the attention they deserve while you’re away. I also believe pets need a healthy balance of playtime, exercise, and rest. Whether your pet loves long walks, playing with toys, or just relaxing and getting cuddles, I’ll make sure they have a fun, safe, and comfortable experience. I’ll care for your pet the same way I care for my own—with love, patience, and plenty of attention. As a recent college graduate who still works on campus, caring for my cat is already part of my daily routine. Every day I make sure she has fresh food and water, a clean litter box, playtime, and plenty of love and attention. I also spend time making sure she’s happy, comfortable, and getting the care she needs. Because pet care is already a regular part of my life, it’s easy for me to provide the same level of care, patience, and attention to other pets as if they were my own. It would be good to know if there is anything that scares your pets, certain sounds, movements, etc. It would also be nice to know of any commands/training tactics that I should be using while caring for your pet.
About: I dont have any special skills at all I have a huge love for dogs and always have Im very patient with meeting new dogs and attentive to their attitude I am currently on medical leave from work and doing physical therapy throughout the week. Pet care is something I am able to do at any time during the day and week. I can supervise the pups while they play and get to know each other, I am able to go outside and throw ball with my dogs which is awesome I can do more than just supervise them while they play!
“Carrie was awesome! She sat my Kitty girl in our home. Made drop in visits twice a day to feed, water, scoop poop and administer meds to Kitty. She sent pics of my girl each day to let me know she was ok. She’s both of our favorite now (and Kitty doesn’t like anyone so that’s saying a lot). Carrie was very trustworthy and dependable and we will definitely be booking her again in the future when needed.”

About: I’ve had all types of pets since I was a baby. I’ve had guinea pigs, birds, hamsters, cats, and dogs. I am an animal lover through and through. I have a pretty open schedule so I will always be able to make the time. If not then I will make sure to have that conversation with whoever I’m caring for. Whatever you ask I will do. I know all families situations are different. If they need to be crated I will. If they need to be let out I will. Just tell me what you need.
About: With years of experience caring for energetic puppies, gentle senior pets, and more cats than I can count, I bring calm, attentive, and reliable care to every visit. I treat each animal as an individual - with patience, routine, and genuine affection - so your pets feel safe, understood, and completely at home while you’re away. We have been fostering cats and dogs for the past few years and work closely with a local Animal Rescue. I currently work full time in special education in a local ISD. I am available full-time on weekends, after 3:30 on weekdays, and full-time on most school holidays. Your pet’s safety and happiness mean everything to me. I create a loving, stress-free environment where they feel secure and cared for. Whether in your home or mine, I make sure routines are followed - feeding, cleaning up messes, and keeping litter boxes fresh - while giving plenty of playtime, pets, and affection. I treat every pet like family, so you can relax knowing they’re in gentle, trustworthy hands.
“Absolutely love her!! Shes very responsible, she sends updates, videos and pictures to make sure you can see your pets. She’s definitely went above and beyond. And I even love that she lets you know when she’s leaving your home. She did a drop in for me while I was away, I’ve never been more secure leaving my key with someone than her! Thank you so much you have made this a pleasant first time experience!”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Bolivar. On Rover:
- 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
