“Candice was a wonderful sitter for our Piper while we were gone on vacation . Our flight even got delayed and she was kind enough to stay a few xtra hours ! My house was exactly the way I left it . We will definitely be using her in the future 😊”

About: I’ve owned many types of pets and cared for them according to their needs including exotic animals, senior animals, and disabled animals of all types. Your pet would be no exception and would be my new best friend and thrive under my care. I currently work part time and attend ysu online as a pre law student. That said I have plenty of time on my days off to give your pet amazing care, love, and support. The care my clients will receive will be exemplary and will have 100% of my attention and efforts just like I give my own pets.

“Grandma Samm did a great job with our pup, Caroline. We enjoyed her daily updates and looked forward to hearing how she was doing while we were away. She was very contentious with our home. She watered my plants, cleaned up, took out the trash, and made sure we came back to a clean home and a happy pup. We trusted her and loved her silly personality. We would definitely hire Samm again! <3”

“I can’t say enough wonderful things about Ronda! Leaving our pets for an extended period is never easy, but she made the entire experience stress-free. She was dependable and punctual for every visit, followed all of our instructions, and took exceptional care of our pets. One of the things we appreciated most was the thoughtful updates and the many photos she sent throughout our trip. Seeing our pets happy, relaxed, and well cared for gave us tremendous peace of mind and allowed us to truly enjoy our vacation. What truly set her apart was her kindness, patience, and genuine compassion. She treated our pets as if they were her own. She is honest, trustworthy, and demonstrates the highest level of integrity. We are incredibly grateful for the outstanding care she provided and highly, highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, compassionate, and professional pet sitter. We will absolutely book with her again!”

About: With over 10 years of hands-on experience in pet care, I’ve had the joy of looking after a wide variety of animals, from playful puppies and independent cats to curious rabbits. My approach is always tailored to each pet’s unique needs, ensuring they feel safe, loved, and well-cared for. Whether it’s daily walks, feeding schedules, administering medication, or simply providing companionship, I bring dedication and a genuine passion for animal welfare to every job. This extensive experience has taught me how to handle different temperaments and health requirements, making me a reliable and compassionate pet sitter for any furry friend. I am available on weekends, as well as all day Monday, and on Wednesday and Friday evenings. Willing to stay with you pets for the whole weekend or pop in on those days i’m free! There is a fenced yard at my parents' home with five dogs, and I often play ball with them outside. I also have a fenced yard at my place for my 2-year-old Mini Aussie, where we enjoy playing outdoors as well. He has two full toy baskets and bark boxes every month! He is very loved (spoiled) :)!
About: I grew up with cats and dogs and we have had dogs our entire lives. We've owned seniors, puppies, kittens, cats, fresh and saltwater fish, and guinea pigs. I have sitted for friends and family for years! Empty nester with kids off at college and out of state. I am a stay at home mom/wife who has a very open schedule. I have two senior dogs. Geraldine we have had since she was a puppy, and we rescued Birdie when she was eight. Both gals are now ten years old. They are the apple of our eye!

“Amanda was great with our three Husky’s. They are all blowing their coats and she did a great job keeping up with the flying fur. Our dogs were so calm and relaxed when we got home, she did a great job of keeping me updated and I didn’t have to worry about whether or not they were well cared for during our vacation!”

“Paige is extremely reliable and she consistently offers excellent care to our beloved pets... Our pets love to be around her and because of this, we can be away from home without worrying about them for a few days... Thankful to have met her through this service...”

“Haley is amazing! The communication before and during our stay was perfect. She was so patient and kind with our anxious girls. She sent many pictures, videos, and updates throughout the stay. We felt very comfortable and happy knowing they were safe with her, and we returned to very happy and loved puppies.”

About: I have had dogs my whole life plus have dog sat for neighbors and so quite a few friends. I have taken the dogs on walks, played with them inside and outside, fed them, and given them so much lovens! I have watched a variety of dogs from small to big! I just absolutely love all dogs and want to take the best care of yours! I’m currently working full time as a nanny monday-fridays 8AM-4:30PM. I would be available to walk or check in on your furry friends after I get off! I’d be able to also stay overnight if you're out of town and be with them in the morning and evenings! The weekends I am free any time! I wont be able to have any pets at my house as i’m currently living with my in laws. However, I would be able to stay or watch them at yours! I will take care of your sweet pets however you need me to!

About: I've had cats and dogs my entire life. I treat them like my babies, so yours will be considered family as well. I have watched cats and dogs throughout the years for family, friends, and neighbors. I treat your fur babies as if they were mine. I currently work from home, so I have a pretty flexible schedule that allows for me to take care of the animals when needed. I love spending time with animals, so I'm happy to share my time with them. I would treat your pet as if it were my own. I would follow all guidelines you would leave for me. I would be sure to play with them and give them lots of attention.
“Linzy is excellent. My dog is a little funny about new people and she took to Linzy very quickly. Linzy pulled out my girls puzzles and toys and sent me photos (so thankful for that). Did a great job clean9ng up after herself and my girl was relaxed and happy when I got home. I highly recommend Linzy and look forward to using her again in August.”

“Jeannine was the absolute best. My dogs were comfortable with her immediately and she treated them as her own. I felt at ease leaving them with her since they are my babies basically. Definitely recommend and will be booking with her again. & she took care of them while in the process of hectic wedding planning! Congratulations again!”

About: I have a deep love for animals and truly enjoy the process of connecting with them. For me, it’s more than just "watching" a pet; I love learning about their unique personalities, specific traits, and individual needs to ensure they feel safe and happy while their owners are away. PS - If you are wanting a house sit it is just me and not Thomas since we live in different areas now. Unfortunately we got an update from our housing authority (in Minneapolis) that we aren't supposed to have dogs 50 lb or more in the condo, so we can not accept bigger dogs unless its for a short duration. Thomas is a homebody and just goes into his art studio for a couple of hours in St Paul Mon-Fri. His hours are very flexible usually from 11:30am-3pm and can be less if needed to be home with a pet. My schedule is also flexible as i'm an independent canvasser for PBS and pick up para substitutiting at public and private schools. Well I put my clients needs first. Just like when I nanny or do childcare work or teaching I really try to listen to the "parents" aka pet owners in this scenario and listen to what their desires are. Ultimately I'm working for you so I want your cares and concerns to come first! I am very happy to provide or use your toys and play with your pet and pamper them. Give them just enough food and space to warm up to me. Let me know if your pets have any dietary needs. I have experience taking care of pets with seizures as well and giving their medicine in with their daily meals.
About: Current YSU education student. I’m a reliable, patient, and detail-oriented pet sitter who treats every pet like they’re my own. I’m happy to provide walks, potty breaks, playtime, feeding, and drop-in visits while following each pet’s individual routine and needs. I’m also big on communication and will keep you updated with photos and messages so you can feel confident your pet is happy and cared for while you’re away! My current schedule allows me to provide pet care after my student teaching day and on weekends. I’m available to stop by for drop-in visits, potty breaks, playtime, or walks after work, and I have more flexibility on weekends. I enjoy having a reason to get outside and would love to make sure your pet gets the attention, exercise, and care they need! I prioritize your pet’s safety, comfort, and individual needs during every visit. I carefully follow your instructions and your pet’s normal routine, including feeding, walks, potty breaks, and playtime. I’m attentive to my surroundings and make sure pets are secure before leaving. I’ll also provide updates and photos so you know your pet is safe, happy, and well cared for while you’re away.
“Bailey was fantastic. House was just as it was left and I’m very happy I used Rover to find her. I was much happier leaving him with her than putting in a dare care type place. Bailey was very kind and I could tell she cares for pets well.”

About: I’ve cared for dogs/cats my entire life, from playful puppies to senior dogs with special needs. My goal is to make your pet feel as comfortable, loved, and relaxed as possible—as if you never left. I know how important peace of mind is while you’re away, and I want you to enjoy your trip without worrying about your furry family member. I’ll care for your pet with the same love and attention I give my own. As a bonus, I also enjoy tidying up, so if you’re comfortable with it, you’ll come home to a happy pet and an even cleaner house. One of the biggest benefits I offer is flexibility. I work in medical device sales, which means I’m local and make my own schedule. Because of that, I can stop by throughout the day to let your pets out, give them potty breaks, playtime, meals, medications, or simply some extra love and attention. Your pet won’t be left alone all day, and you’ll have peace of mind knowing they’re being cared for whenever they need it. I’m very aware of my surroundings and will always make sure to keep your pet and home safe while you are away. Most of them time I enjoy cuddling up on the couch and watching a good show right by your pets side

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Bolindale
This was our first time having Candice do overnights with our boy Oreo who is 2.5 years old for 5 nights and we really enjoyed being able to not have any stress while on vacation. She stayed at our home for the entire 6 days and did not leave once. We returned home and our house looked exactly like we left it...very clean. We would highly recommend her as she was on time and very responsible with letting us know that we could travel stress free while she took great care of our pup. She also made sure that Oreo had his meds daily. We have already booked her for our next vacation.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Bolindale walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Bolindale maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Bolindale choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Bolindale. On Rover:
- 95% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
