“Angela was able to come by on a moments notice and really helped Ellie. She’s absolutely wonderful to work with and incredibly communicative about what happens during the visits.”

“I highly recommend Margaret as a pet sitter! She is punctual, professional, genuinely cares for your fur babies, and does the best job possible. A tree fell down on the road leading up to my house and blocked the road. Margaret did not hesitate to park her car and walk to my house . She communicated with me daily to let me know who’s my dog. was doing. I will definately use Margaret again!!”

“So thankful that Amanda was able to keep a check on our pooch while we explored the Blue Ridge area! Don't hesitate to book with her if you need some pet love for your furry friend. :)”

“Taylor took good care of my five cats during daily drop-ins and communicated well during the booking process and when any concerns arose during the petsitting period. I'd book Taylor again!”

“Thank you Katirna for the wonderful care you gave to our kitty cat. We appreciated the photos you sent of him and that you even brought a package up to the house that was left at our gate. If you are looking for someone to take care of your pet and give you peace of mind, Katirna is your person!”

“Stevie was great with my pets and administered medications provided when needed for my senior. I would give 5 stars but unfortunately people who were not verified through the rover app were brought onto my property by the sitter during the job and I was not notified. Only reason I knew was due to property camera footage. Dog care was overall great.”

“We can highly recommend Judy. She just took great care of our two cats for two weeks. Additionally, she took care of our bird feeders, collected our mail etc. I don't see how it could have gone better. If you need a pet sitter, you can't go wrong with Judy.”

“Showed up and did everything, very respectful of my space and my pets. It’s always a stress wondering if someone will be reliable especially with your pets while you’re on vacation. I’m very pleased and would definitely recommend to anyone in need of pet sitting.”

About: I currently have 1 dog named Willow. She is a husky mix so we go for lots of walks together. I work full time as an athletic trainer so I don’t go in for work until afternoons/evenings. This gives me plenty of time to stop by and give your pet exercise, potty breaks, and food while you are gone. I work 2:30-6pm most nights. Game nights later. Most weekends are off or limited hours for games. Available all morning and lunch time Take the time to give pet exercise, food, and of course lots of pets while you are gone. Will make sure things are kept clean or cleaned up if fur baby has any accidents.

About: I have great attention to detail and can follow any specific needs to the letter! I can promise to keep your pet happy and healthy! I keep a pretty open schedule so I am able to work in almost any job. Whatever works best for the client is what works best for me! I have both open and fenced areas for different needs as well as more enclosed areas if that is necessary. There are a few other dogs around as well to help your pet feel welcomed!
“Omg! Brenna was amazing! We’ve never traveled with or left our pup and were so nervous about leaving him. Brenna met us once we got in town to meet Remi and checked on him twice while we were out and about all day. We felt so comfortable after her first visit that we were able to relax and enjoy the day. We felt like she enjoyed him as much as we do. I would highly recommend Brenna to anyone who lives in or visits the Blue Ridge area. We will definitely use her again when we come back.”

About: I love taking care of my family and friends pets as well as my own four golden retrievers! When I am not acquiring patient care house for pa school, I am at the lake with my pups! I work from 9am-12 as a physical therapy assistant. After those hours I have no obligations other than homework, time I would love to fill taking care of some cute dogs or cats! I don’t mind cleaning up after your pets! I have 4 goldens who shed a lot and I would not mind vacuuming. I love to go on walks and play outside, whatever your pet prefers! I also don’t mind cleaning litter boxes:)
About: My mother and I were golden retriever breeders from 2000 to 2008. I have owned multiple dogs throughout my life. I have helped friends by sitting for them. I now have four cats. I am currently unemployed so I am fully available right now. Please reach out to me as soon as possible. Thank you so much. Peace and Love. I am very careful and loving with animals. I will write down all the instructions for every animal. I understand that every animal is different in its own special way.
“Delaney is a true superstar! I left her with her hands full and she did everything I asked! She even took extra care with my kitten who had a health problem as well as has a great time with my pups ? 1000000% recommendation and will use her again!”

About: I have taken care of dogs for the past 10 years. My parents were Great Dane breeders and I have experience raising puppies from birth-seniority. I used to groom dogs as a part time job and would love to groom yours free of charge while sitting for you! I am also experienced in training dogs basic commands as well as a few tricks and could probably have your furry baby doing a new trick in less than 2 hours. I'd love to help you with your lovable best friend, day or night!❤️ I currently work part time and have plenty of free time to give your furry friend that special TLC they love! I always come prepared with treats and toys as well. I usually arrive at the client's house, let the pet introduce themselves to me naturally (no threatening behavior, no forced petting, no loud or excited talking, just let them get to know me!) and then hang out in their space for a bit, offering treats if allowed, letting them get used to me, then going on with the routine of feeding, walking, etc, if I'm allowed to groom them, once they're used to my presence, I'll begin that, making sure to stop immediately if they seem upset or threatened! I always end our day together with some treats/food and spending some time with them!
The median cost per visit for pet sitting in Blue Ridge is $24
Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Blue Ridge
Katirna has been a true lifesaver; I cannot say enough good things about her help, dedication, and dependability . We recently had a situation with our keys 🔑 pop up and she gracefully jumped in and was able to be there for us during a time of need and vulnerability. We have three cats and her genuine care and love for our senior cat 🐈⬛, Reggie, has been so rare and priceless. Thanks again, we appreciate your time and loving care- Liz & Steve Y

We had a fantastic experience with Dewey caring for our 4 feral cats. He arrived every day as scheduled, made sure everyone was fed and had fresh water, and took the time to quietly interact with them so they could acclimate at their own pace. By the end of the stay, even our more cautious cats were noticeably more relaxed around him, which says a lot about his clam, respectful approach with animals. We were also able to observe his visits on our cameras while we were away, which gave us a lot of peace of mind. It was clear he arrived consistently, spent time with the cats rather than rushing in and out, and handled everything just the way we'd hoped and more. We would absolutely book Dewey again and highly recommend him, especially for shy or feral cats who need a patient, consistent presence.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
