Angela took great care of our pups during their stay! She sent videos and pics throughout the day and we felt very confident leaving them with her. They are big dogs but she handled them well. She also came out prior to their stay to meet them so that they would recognize her when we dropped them off. Highly recommend!

Emily was great with my older pup. Was very attentive with her medicines, her food specifications and her initial weariness. My dog quickly took to her and they were soon playing fetch non stop. She kept me updated, was a great communicator and even sent me some pupper pics to ease my mind. Would absolutely leave my special girl with her again.

About: We provide dependable, loving care tailored to each pet's personality and needs. With patience, attention, and genuine compassion, we make pets feel safe, comfortable, exercised, and happy while their owners are away. We are semi-retired couple that have been in the area for over 8 years. We have plenty of time and experience to care for your pets. For hosting your pet at our home, we have an 8 year old hound dog mix that is unbelievably chill and he always loves to meet other dogs. We do have an extra large crate already if your dog requires/likes to be crated.

Thank you, Ashley, for taking care of my old boy and my needy girl! Really appreciate the meet and greet and you answering all my questions (and so kindly) making me feel comfortable. You were very communicative, and I loved seeing the pictures. Bonus, the pups came home exhausted! Ha

This sitter was great. Perfect property for my dog as he is not used to being confined indoors all day aside from a few walks. He lives to run and chase squirrels! Dawn has a perfect friend for him there as well 'Dexter' which got along great with my boy. Great communicator, punctual, and even gave me doggie art with his paw print on canvass for me! Highly recommended! PJP

Cynthia is a 10/10 Trusted Sitter. If I could give her over 5 stars on Rover, I most certainly would without hesitation. The ‘start to end’ booking process was seamless and she was excellent to communicate with. She was beyond accommodating and all I needed to really know upon pick up was how my Tegan behaved. She did not want to leave Cynthia’s side which was a GREAT sign. Thank you Cynthia and Miles for opening your new, clean home to Tegan and spending time with her. Having to travel often for work doesn’t make it easy leaving my dog daughter behind but knowing she’s in good hands with you and close by, makes a world of a difference. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for having this service as an option here in Polk County, TN!!! Looking forward to our next Rover boarding with you in a couple of weeks!

What a great stay for my Sami. She fit in with the pack and the house was very dog-friendly. The hosts were conscious of Sami’s needs and adapted to her wanting to “cling” around people. Great stay!

Our little Morkie, Molly, has stayed with Esmeralda multiple times. Each time, Molly has had a full play day with Esmeralda's little furbabies. Molly is content, happy and safe when she visits Esmeralda. We always receive photos and updates throughout the day. We will continue our visits to Esmeralda whenever we are in town and visiting the Blue Rideg area and need a sitter.

About: I’ve always had dogs at home, up to three at once! Most all raised and trained from puppy stages. I had a disabled dog recently who lost usage of her back legs and was incompetent. She required lots of help and being carried around but was a sweetheart. Currently I have eight geckos as well as two snakes, a skink, two cats (mostly outdoor) and one dog. My dogs name is Luna, she’s almost two years old, deaf and mentally special but as friendly as can be! (Several rooms for separation of my dog if needed as well as my crate. So far she gets along well with others) My current weekly routine is as follows: Monday: Feed Cats and Dog x2, feed and mist geckos Tuesday: Feed cats and dog x2 Wednesday: Feed cats and dogs x2, feed and mist geckos, feed skink, feed hognose Thursday: Feed cats and dog x2 Friday: Feed cats and dog x2, feed and most geckos Saturday: Feed cats and dog x2, feed skink Sunday: Feed cats and dog x2 Feed and mist geckos Saturday I go out about every hour and a half for potty breaks. I do not have a fence but I have a large pasture as well as lots of leads. I’m willing to walk for hours with your pet on a leash! I have one friendly pup to keep yours company and I have a spare room. I have the ability to crate my dog and space for a crate for yours if provided. We go out after every food and water break, get lots of cuddles and extra play time!

Every sitter on Rover has their own rhythm and routine, but most will follow the flow that keeps your dog happiest. Sitters can give meals on your dog's regular schedule, provide a comfortable place for sleep, and plenty of one-on-one attention.

100% of Blue Ridge sitters also include daily walks in the neighborhood during dog boarding stays. You can also request photo and message updates throughout the stay so you can see which Blue Ridge landmarks or neighborhoods your dog is enjoying.

If your dog is a little shy, consider booking a one-night trial stay! This practice run can boost your and your dog’s confidence before your trip.

Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Blue Ridge home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:

  • Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
  • Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in GA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
