Pet Policy
Rules and restrictions
Be sure to review this information before your trip and plan accordingly. And remember that all airlines have different restrictions, so it’s important to read each airline’s rules before you book a new trip.
- Pets are allowed in the main cabin and in baggage hold.
- Pets are limited to one large kennel or two small or medium kennels per flight.
- Extra-large or giant kennels are not accepted. Generally, in-cabin crates should be soft-sided and fit under the plane seat in front of you. For cargo crates, the ASPCA says that crates should be large enough for your pet to sit, stand, and turn around in.
- Pet must remain in the kennel at the airport, during boarding and deplaning, and during all phases of flight.
- Seats may not be purchased for the pet.
- For pets as checked baggage, maximum kennel size accepted is limited to a reservation of one large kennel or two small or medium per flight.
- Reservations are required.
- Review the Customer Alert page for tips to help you avoid common animal transportation scams.
