Whether it’s hollering, grumbling, or simply being adorably chatty, dogs can be very theatrical, with Pugs topping the list of those that reach Academy Award-winning performances.
Fans on social media just can’t get enough of these drama dogs. As one faithful follower commented: “Warner Brothers takes years and spends millions of dollars to produce blockbusters. Meanwhile all people really want to watch is pugs doing the same improv sketches over and over. Can we get this in the theater please?”
Here are a few drama dogs you may want to add to your daily social media scrolling.
Floki and Vienna
Floki the Pug is a skilled screamer and is known on his TikTok as a “Licensed Scream Therapist.” His best buddy, Vienna Sausage the Dachshund, appears to be an innocent bystander.
Mom Rocio says Floki screams every morning when he hears the alarm go off so he can get his breakfast. “He usually reacts to sounds very quickly, especially if they are coming from outside, which triggers his screaming, he loves to sit on top of his sister and has no regard for personal space, but he is the sweetest dog.”
Fancy and Juicy
Mother and daughter Pugs Fancy Jean and Juicy Queen love to shout and complain at mealtime.
Says mom, Lizzy: “Dinnertime at our house sometimes feels like a New York City restaurant, but it’s fun! Fancy and Juicy’s favorite thing to do is yell at me over food, and honestly, I love it because it feels like they’re talking to me. You get to see their true personality.”
Diesel
Diesel the Bulldog went viral for his reaction to his first visit to doggy daycare, with more than 6 million views on TikTok. Fan comments about the Beagle next to Diesel are nearly as entertaining as Diesel’s complaints. “Beagle’s like, you good, bro? Do I need to do the Heimlich??” said one, and another: “That poor little dog next to him thinking ‘who brought the freak show?’”
Mom Mallory says Diesel has gotten better over time but still hollers. “If he’s tired of playing he’ll scream at the gate until they let him out. He’ll go to his room and nap then scream when he’s ready to play again.”
@malloryfuller3 Took Diesel to play at doggy daycare. It went well 😒 #dogsofttiktok #englishbulldog #fyp #doggydaycare
Sky and Copper
Skye and Copper are Alaskan Klee Kais, a breed that looks a bit like a mini-Husky. The duo have 4.4 million followers on TikTok.
Copper is particularly talkative, and even sounds as if he’s trying to speak with dog dad Kieran and mom Yasmin. Kieran says Klee Kais have big personalities and are quick to express their feelings.
@lifewithkleekai The way he sighed for bananas but went crazy for his favourite food #dogsoftiktok

Peaches
Whether it’s in the car or when she’s feeling neglected (meaning nobody is paying attention to her), Peaches the Pug sings her song loud and proud.
Mom Claire says Peaches has been vocal from day one. “She did it as a puppy the very first day we got her! It’s totally a main way she expresses herself, big feelings!”
Buggy
Buggy the Bulldog’s mom Melissa says he’s like other Bulldogs — a cartoon character. Because of his medical issues, Buggy can’t walk far so he travels in a stroller. He complains when he’s being loaded into it and continues with his histrionics once he’s out and about. One of his fans on Instagram referred to the stroller as “The Carnage Carrier. The Violent Vehicle. Hell’s handbasket on wheels.”
Despite his health challenges, Buggy has thrived and has a big personality, and Melissa says, “I let Buggy be who Buggy wants to be, and it’s lovely and he’s happy.” (See our story about Buggy and his band of siblings called “the potatoes” here.)
Timber
Timber the Golden Retriever is known for her emotional reactions to humans. She loves hats and it seems as though hats have become like a security blanket for her.
Dad Drew says ever since Timber was a puppy she would steal his hat as soon as he got home from work (or anywhere else). “Then she sits as I scratch her and starts crying because she’s so happy,” he says. “Now she does it pretty much every time I’ve been gone over a minute or two or even if she just gets excited while I’m wearing a hat she tries to steal it. “
@timber.the.golden Timber’s so excited to show off her new groom 🦮🥲 #puppy #golden #timber
Keiko
Keiko is a sweet little old man Pug who has a Pug brother named Norman. Fifteen-year-old Keiko went viral and made the news because he is so crinkly cute. Mom Shelby posts regular videos of “things my 15-year-old pug is mad about.” Complaints range from the understandable (vet visits) to “unknown bedtime anger” and “don’t look at my tongue.”
Zipper and Yahtzee
Zipper and Yahtzee are nearly identical Pug bros that love to take nature walks with dog mom Candace. They have many fans who love to see videos of their back seat disagreements. Says one avid fan: “I think I watch them on replay like 28 times dying laughing.” And another: “If only we knew what they were discussing.”
