About: I have always had a strong passion for animals and have taken every opportunity to care for and support them. Over the years, I have provided reliable dog and cat sitting services, working with a variety of breeds and sizes. Growing up in a home that always included pets has given me a deep appreciation for animals and a natural ability to care for them with patience, attention, and love. I would love the opportunity to provide your furry companion with the love, care, and happiness they deserve. I have a very flexible schedule and am currently available at a variety of times. With clear communication regarding dates and times needed, I will be able to promptly confirm my availability and ensure I can meet your scheduling needs. Every animal is unique, and I tailor care routines to best fit each pet’s individual needs and schedule. I believe clear communication is key to creating the perfect care plan for your furry companion. I always prioritize dedicated playtime and, depending on the pet, provide walks and outdoor time to keep them happy and active. I am highly flexible and committed to meeting the specific needs of every animal in my care.
“Linda was so attentive to Max. She walked him, played with him and knew just what to do to get him to eat his food. We were out of town at a wedding and she sent us pics of our dog while at the dog park, eating all his food and cuddling on the couch. She was on time, responsive and dependable. Cannot wait to use her again!”

“Kelsey was amazing.. took excellent care of all my pets and kept me informed of how they were doing and asked questions when needed! My house was as clean if not cleaner when I got home! Will definitely book her again!!”

“Lauren was fantastic. She went above and beyond in caring for our pup. He has separation anxiety and she did her best with him. She is caring about animals and she gave pup great love and attention. We definitely will be using her in the future. Thank you Lauren.”

About: I’ve grown up around dogs and cats. I’m reliable and take the time to make sure they feel comfortable. I can help with dogs (basic routines and leash walking) and I’m patient with senior pets who need a little extra care. I treat every pet like my own I work at a dog grooming place most days, so I’m around animals all the time. I’m off on Sundays and Wednesdays and have more flexibility then, but I can still do pet care after work on other days if that’s needed. I care for pets in my client’s home by following their routine for feeding, walks, and playtime. I keep them safe, clean up after them and spend time with them so they feel comfortable. I also follow any special instructions and send updates to the owner.

About: I have had experience training and caring for dogs. I currently own 2 dogs, one small and a bigger one. I am the go to sitter for my family and I know enough to interact and communicate with these fun pets. To this day I am still learning more about how to strengthen my bond with my four legged friends and always trying to find a way for them to live a clean, lengthy, healthy life. These days have been kind of slow and I always make time for my four legged crew so I will be available all weekdays with the exception of Friday and weekends. I have a big fenced in yard and two fur babies to keep your family company. I always make sure to keep my eye on them and talk to them so we establish a link of communication.
About: I have always owned multiple dogs of my own, they are the most compassionate beings in the world! I love playing with them, walking with them, being lazy with them, and giving them lots of treats! I am the proud owner of four dogs, all of them are housebroken, friendly with children, and want nothing but love, and treats! It would be my honor to have your dogs, have a fun play date, with my fur babies😁😁😁🥰 I have a home with plenty of space for dogs, they are allowed on our furniture, we have a room for the dogs, when they don’t feel like roaming the house. My dogs like frequent walks, and many treats! I can almost promise that yours well as well!
About: I’ve taken care of dogs basically my whole life. I have trained my own dog and of course taken care of her since she was a puppy. Family and friends trust me to pet sit their dogs. I specialize in tummy rubs and playtime! I am currently a highschool graduate, and I’m going to college in the fall. To all my clients: I am still able to petsit your fur babies when I come back down for breaks! I work part time at a restaurant, so my availability is flexible. I am free most afternoons but all nights! I have a fenced-in yard and one friendly dog to keep company. I also have a crate if needed for anything if needed. (I also have probably about 10,000 dog toys to keep your fur babies entertained 🤣)
“Michael took great care of our fur baby while we were gone! He loved her like his own and kept us updated throughout the weekend. We will definitely be using him again. 10/10 recommend! :)”

About: Update: I will not be available May 18-25, and Jun 2-14 I love dogs!! I've fostered many dogs and volunteered at many shelters. I've had seniors and even fostered one with spina bifida. My first two loves were English Bulldogs. I have lots of experience with them and know that smooshy face breeds are much more delicate than other breeds. I absolutly love them! I'm not good with extremely energtic dogs, but can handle anything else. I am semi-retired. I currently work part time on Friday and Sundays with an occasional third day, so I am home a lot. I have plenty of time to devote to your pooch. In my home, I care for your pet just as I care for mine. Of course, with your direction implemented also. I do have a pool, so I will need to know how your dog is around pools, or if they have zero experience with pools, I will need to know that as well.
About: 🌱Since a little girl all the way up to now I have been surrounded by animals. I have experience in caring for both cats and dogs alike as I have fur babies myself; 3 cats and a Pharaoh Hound. 🌱 🌿I will gladly follow special care instructions and supervision advisories as needed to ensure your pet is comfortable in their own home.🌿 ✨Have an Exotic/ “Unconventional” pet? I’ll care for them too! 🐠🦜🐁🐍🦎( this excludes Insect pets.)✨ All I ask is that if I am to pet sit to please allow me to bring my dog if it is overnight stay. I am typically available full-time on the weekends only as I have all day off on those days. Weekdays I am available after 5pm. After I get off of work I typically care for my own pets before relaxing myself. I like to follow instructions provided by the owner. I typically prefer to give pets their respective space unless they show to be needy with affection or hyperactive and need an outlet for their energy via playtime!

About: Over 4 years of dog walking and pet sitting (references gladly available) Skilled in managing high-energy dogs — I love long walks, runs, fetch sessions, and active play Also experienced with senior, fragile, or special-needs dogs, making sure they’re handled gently and safely Volunteered at a local animal shelter in middle school, walking and socializing dogs In high school, volunteered ~1 year at Camden Veterinary Clinic, assisting with animal care, handling, and general support Participated in dog rescue efforts, including fostering, transport, and rehabilitation Comfortable with all breeds, sizes, and temperaments — from overactive pit mixes to nervous small breeds Dependable, responsible, and not squeamish — able to clean up accidents, administer oral medications, or assist with basic care One client often led to many: many bookings come via referrals I'm currently attending school at USC, which leaves me with plenty of time around my classes. I'm very observant and attuned to when a pet needs affection, exercise, or a bathroom break. I'm not intimidated by high-energy dogs. FAQs for House Sitting - Blair
Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 212 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Blair. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Blair walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Blair maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Blair choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Blair. On Rover:
- 100% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 92% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
