Alexis went above and beyond taking care of our kitties!!! She was amazing with having one of my cats needing medication daily. She cared for them like they were her own pets. Exactly what you want when you’re away and not having to worry about your pets! She was also willing to help out with some house things also!! I would Highly recommend her to care for your pets!! She was very caring and loving! My one cat is very skittish & hardly comes out for me, and she was out everyday waiting to visit with Alexis!! Would have her back anytime to care for my pets!!!

This was my first time since moving and having my cat alone so I was nervous to hire someone to check in on her. Tai was communicative, caring, friendly and sweet! She closely followed the instructions I left. I am so grateful for the last minute drop-in visit. I will definitely reach out again and would recommend her for anyone’s pet!

About: I've always loved animals and am fascinated with their care. I have trained my own German Shepherd Husky as well as dog-sitted for a variety of restricted breeds. I am currently attending college classes in the mornings so I can perform tasks before class and the full day after. I also drive for Uber Eats so I balance both positions. I will ask lots of questions about your typical care of your pet prior to taking on the animal to ensure their routine remains the same. I am slow in introducing myself to animals, by letting them sniff and be comfortable before engaging.

About: They say grief is love with no place to go, so since my senior Belgian Malinois passed away, I've been fostering dogs and would like to get into dog walking. I have experience with dogs and cats of all ages. I have pet-sat for family and friends as well. I currently have a very flexible schedule. I am generally available during daylight hours Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, and 5 PM or later Tuesday and Thursday. Before or at the start of our first walk, I'd like to get to know your dog's preferences, triggers, and typical walking habits and routes. I suggest treats for positive reinforcement if working on socialization and a slip lead to reduce pulling. A safe, enjoyable outing is my priority for your dog.

There is no way I can begin to say enough good things about Ash and how well she took care of Bella and our house while we were away. From the very first time Ash came over to meet Bella, it was clear she was going to be a great fit. She and Bella were friends from the start! While we were away, Ash’s communication was excellent. After every visit, she sent detailed and accurate updates about Bella and everything going on around the house. It gave us tremendous peace of mind knowing Bella was happy, comfortable, and being so well cared for. It is obvious that Ash genuinely cares about the furry family members she looks after, and that really showed in the way Bella responded to her. If you’re looking for a dependable, caring, and trustworthy sitter, I would highly recommend Ash. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would absolutely trust her with Bella and our home again!

About: Hi there! I bring a little extra patience and life experience to pet care. With my age comes a calm and steady presence that helps even the most shy or energetic pets feel comfortable and safe. I understand that every animal has their own personality and pace, and I take the time to meet them where they’re at—whether that’s lots of play, a gentle walk, or quiet company. What sets me apart is the care and consistency I bring, treating your pets like my own and making sure you can feel confident while you’re away. I work Monday through Thursday. My location is my employment is in Mount Joy. My kids are all Grown up and drive now - so I have free time to help others out. I love animals and can’t wait to cuddle yours. . I would Love to watch the animals at the location of the persons home for their comfort. However, If not possible we would have to leash the dogs at our house as we do not have a fenced in yard. Our mini golden doodle is on a gps collar since he’s smaller.

I work Monday-Friday 7am-3pm. I have weekends off. If I have a baby sitter I wouldn't mind doing a weekend shift and a night shift We have a fenced in yard. They have food and water at all times. We have lots of toys for them to play with. We play all the time.

About: I have been house & pet sitting since I was a young teenager. I take pride in being responsible and leaving things better than I found them. I am comfortable with all ages of dogs & cats, and I have provided special care to senior dogs who needed home cooked meals & medication. I am comfortable administering various types of medications, or caring for animals with special needs. I work full time during school hours, but I am available in the afternoon, evening, & weekends for dog walks & pet sitting. I will still watch pets during the week if I’m working, and I am willing stay at the owner’s home with planning & discussion. It works very well for me to care for animals in their home. I notice that animals feel more comfortable staying in their space. I value keeping someone’s home clean while they are away.

About: I have been around cats and dogs all my life. I just love all animals. Dog walking is great for their physical and mental health/improves their joints, and all around good therapy for me and your pet. Play time is also important. About: Hours of availability on the weekends, Friday 5pm-Sun 9pm. Possibly before 5 on fridays depending on location. I Love dogs, and have had 3 jack Russell terriers and 2 German short haired pointers and now 2 Labrador retrievers. I want to make it easy for pet owners to do things and not have to worry about their pet. I have also been in charge of the grooming(nails, bathing etc) since I was young. I feel I can tell how/what dogs want, they call me the dog whisperer. Just want all dogs/animals to love me :) We now adopted 3 kittens in the last 6 years since they always find us. Let me care for your dog/cat while you enjoy yourself. I have had other animals, not just dogs, as I care for animals in general(fish, guinea pigs, gerbils, rabbits, birds, cats). I have always been the dependable Neighbor and was always asked to watch the neighbors animals while they were away. I know how hard it is to find a caring person to watch your pet, instead of a kennel. I also have had to give my first dog insulin shots 2xs a day, also have given her medicine daily. Also give medicine/supplements to my current pets. Let me be that person.

They did a great job with my three dogs played with them in the backyard and just made them feel really happy while we were out of town. Unfortunately, our one dog has a lot of social anxiety, but they were very patient with them and did what they needed to to make him feel Special

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of August 2026, there are 1,184 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Bittersville. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Bittersville. On Rover:

  • 97% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
