Keira was her usual revved up self while she stayed at Jennifer’s and skinned up her nose trying to poke it out beyond the chain link fence to gather more smells. It appears to be healing ok. Jennifer seems like a thoughtful, caring person.

Roxanne was amazing! This was my first time with Rover and I have a “quite the only child” husky. I am that mom who is worried about everything and nothing! Roxanne is a great communicator, allowed us to meet and greet, pick up and drop off were both easy, and during the booking she sent pics of my baby boy every day. She took special care of his needs and even took him on outings. Sebastian had a great time and we look forward to visiting Roxanne and Capone again. An extra thank you!

About: For any and all services I provide I will be seeking guidance from the pet owner for preferred handling as people treat their pets differently (allowed on furniture, leash vs off leash, feeding times, etc.) Most of my pet sitting experience has been at their home and i have cared for up to four dogs and two cats (plus chickens and fish). I have also babysat for a cat and a few different dogs at my place. I enjoy an active lifestyle and live near state lands so lots of hiking is usually on the agenda (for dogs anyway). I recently put down my aging cat and have found life is lonely without him, but I am not ready to replace him just yet. Rover seems like a great way to get my fix and earn some extra money along the way. I work full time Monday through Friday and have hour long lunch breaks if midday breaks are needed for your pets. Weekends are for serious play! I live on a low traffic road near a state forest. Access to trails from my back door and a large (unfenced) yard to roam. When staying in someone’s home I treat it like my own with care.

Whether it is your first time using rover or 100th time using rover, if Bill and Emma are available look no further and book ASAP. It was our first time using Rover and we, and our 1 year old playful mutt could not have had a better experience. They were flexible, responsive and attentive. The only thing you’ll have to worry about it your pet not wanting to leave (kidding). Thank you Bill and Emma for a seamless experience, we hope our paths cross again!

I had a great experience with Jessica with my pups! Prior to booking, she was very responsive and even was open to a meet and greet with my pups and hers. During the stay, she sent photos and provided updates! I can always tell if my pups had a good stay with a sitter based on how they act when I pick them up. They both appeared calm and happy and one of them seemed to want to stay and play! I will definitely be using Jessica's service again!

About: I always loved having pets growing up. I grew up in the country so we had a lot of space for animals to be able to run around and be outside. Dogs, cats, birds...practically every creature you can imagine. Currently I have a cat of my own, and a friend’s dog who I watch fairly regularly. It works out well because I’m a very active person who likes to get outside as much as possible—hiking when the weather permits and bringing him along with me. This is in part due to my ever-changing, flexible schedule. I have a few set shifts during the week, but for the most part I make my own hours and I have time to be available pretty much whenever I am needed!

This was my first time using rover and Tara was amazing with my 4 year old. She watched her over the holidays and was able to accommodate my dog’s joint supplements. Her 2 dogs were very kind and welcoming and were very kind to share their family for 11 days. Tara also sent me updates throughout with photos which also gave me peace of mind. 10/10 would trust her with my dog again and highly recommend if you would like your dog to be in a family environment.

There are 59 sitters on Rover for Pet Boarding in Big Flats. About 89% of Big Flats sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you’re planning ahead for holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day coverage for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in NY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
