“Tyler was a lifesaver! He was able to watch our dog last minute and was fantastic with communication, always getting back to us quickly. He sent updates with pictures and videos throughout the night. Our dog was so happy with him, she didn't even want to leave when we picked her up! We'd definitely recommend Tyler to anyone and will absolutely use him again.”

“Erin, Joseph and the crew were great! They kept us updated on Rocco with pictures and notes throughout his stay. I would recommend them to friends and family.”

“We have nothing but great things to say about Kaitlyn! She was very easy to communicate with and took many adorable pictures of our pups during their stay. We got daily updates on their progress which was so comforting our first time away from them for more than a day or two. Definitely recommend!!”

“Allison, and her sweet kids, treated my senior dog as if she was their own. She gave great narrated videos so that I really felt connected while out of town! Terrific!”

“She is always so responsive and send lots of updates of our baby. She is a great sitter and we always appreciate the fun that he has and the love he receives while at her house!”

“Carri was absolutely amazing with our puppy! She took such great care of him and kept us updated the whole time (pictures included), which gave us so much peace of mind. You can truly tell she loves animals and treats them like her own. We will definitely be using Carri again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring dog sitter! 🐾”

“Sandy did a phenomenal with our dog! She had just been spayed a few days before I had to leave her and I needed someone I could trust to keep an extra eye on her to make sure she was healing well and didn’t mess with her sutures. Sandy was the perfect sitter! Her clean, cozy home made my girl feel right at home! My dog loved her and Sandy sent photos while we were gone. She kept in contact with my during the week I was gone and I so appreciated that! Thank you for taking such good care of our girl! Will definitely use again!!”

“Dixie had a great stay. Cyndie and her family were so warm and welcoming and it is very clear how much they care for animals. They were wonderful and we will certainly use them again!”

“Lisa is awesome and so accommodating! This is our 4th sitter visit with Lisa and my elderly girl is on a seizure med, 2 blood pressure meds, and eye drops/ointment now. Lisa was very accommodating with all of her meds and making sure my little girl was happy and got her meds. We will continue to be a repeat customer when needed.”
“Haley & Ryan took great care of Huck while we were out of the country and sent us pictures and updates each day. It’s so hard to leave your pet but in certain situations it’s unavoidable. It sure makes it easier when you know they’re being treated well. Thanks again!”

“Scott was absolutely amazing! We used him to watch our big German shepherd while we went on a little vacation. Scott was so good to our boy, it seemed like he was the one who really got a vacation! It seemed like he was happier when we picked him up than when we dropped him off. Scott truly treated our pup like he was his own and even sent him home with a goody bag, bandana, and toys he noticed our dog liked. We will 10000000% be using him again! He is the best. He’s enthusiastic and you can tell he loves to do this.”

About: I’ve owned and taken care of dogs for 50 years. I’ve taken care of up to seven dogs at once. I’ve had big and small dogs. All my dogs are adopted and some have had special needs. I’m retired, so I have plenty of time to play with your pups. I’m currently available to watch or board all week. I love taking dogs for walks. I have a fenced yard. Currently I don’t have any dogs but occasionally I watch my daughters dog. Even though I don’t have dogs I make sure all gates are closed and secured.
“Misty is the best! My dog, Roxy usually doesn't eat when I am away, but she ate while being with Misty, and I could tell by the videos and pics that she enjoyed her time with Misty. I will definitely come back to her for the next trip.”

“Brynn was amazing at taking my baby last minute and being super flexible with our needs! Great communication and I felt totally at ease going out of town for the weekend knowing she was in great hands :) as a hesitant rover user I’m so happy to have found the perfect person to trust for my dog sitting needs!! Thank you Brynn!”

“We are very happy with Scott's care of our 2 dogs! I (tearfully) dropped them off for a 6-night stay, and they had a 6-night party! The home is clean and peaceful, with a spacious backyard for lots of exercise. We plan to leave our dogs with Scott again, without worry.”

“Esther and her family took fabulous care of our 3 yr old Yorkie. She met us before booking to make sure her puppy and our dog would be compatible. Esther sent multiple updates with pictures during the days she had our dog. We were able to enjoy our vacation knowing our dog was well card for. When we need a sitter, we would have no hesitation in asking for Esther and her family.”

“Elizabeth provided our pet the most loving care and exceeded our expectation. She sent us pictures while we were away from our pet which provided us peace and reassurance she was being loved and cared for. We will most definitely use Elizabeth again!!”

“It was the 1st time I had ever used Rover.com and Alyssa and she was fantastic. At first I was concerned sending my new pup to a stranger but when we had our meet and greet I knew Alyssa would be great with Shelby. Alyssa was wonderful in sending pics and videos on a daily basis to assure me that my girl was doing just fine, running/playing a lot and great about communicating right away if you should have any questions or concerns. Shelby was definitely exhausted after her stay!! I would highly recommend Alyssa and have already used her again since her stay in September.”

Every sitter on Rover has their own rhythm and routine, but most will follow the flow that keeps your dog happiest. Sitters can give meals on your dog's regular schedule, provide a comfortable place for sleep, and plenty of one-on-one attention.
97% of Bethpage sitters also include daily walks in the neighborhood during dog boarding stays. You can also request photo and message updates throughout the stay so you can see which Bethpage landmarks or neighborhoods your dog is enjoying.
If your dog is a little shy, consider booking a one-night trial stay! This practice run can boost your and your dog’s confidence before your trip.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Bethpage home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Bethpage.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Bethpage sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
