I felt very confident when she showed me around, she has a very safe environment complete with lots of doggy toys! 😉 She was also very flexible with drop off and pick up time! Would highly recommend her to anyone who needs a dog sitter!”

About: Hello! I’m Tara, and animals have been a big part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up caring for dogs, cats, and horses, and I competed in eventing through my mid-twenties—so I’m comfortable with pets of all sizes, energy levels, and personalities. My significant other, Mike, and I work together as a team to provide attentive, 1:1 in-home boarding with plenty of supervision, exercise, and affection. I’m happy to accommodate special routines and needs (senior care, medications, shy/anxious pups, or high-energy dogs who need extra play and structure). Tell me what helps your dog feel safest and happiest, and we’ll tailor their care to match. I work in childcare part time and Mike is a gig worker with a very flexible schedule. We work together to give your dog the benefit of in person care. Regular business hours are preferred but not mandatory. We strived to meet your dog care needs and requirements while giving your babies all the love and attention they deserve. We may ask a lot of questions but the more we know, the better we can customize the care for your dog. We have a nice size yard with. We also have a large deck for lounging.

I also was the one who would watch and care for any family or friends pets when they'd go out of town for a few weeks at a time. I tend to stay home and I don't leave the house when I am watching your sweet fur friends. I do work a job with a different work schedule each week. I would love to watch over your furry friends. Just ask and I will let you know when I am available to watch over your furry friends. I have a fenced yard with one big dog. He is super sweet and loves to play. He plays gentle with other dogs and if having your pups around my dog is a problem I can keep them separated.

About: What sets me apart is my experience caring for high-needs, large-breed dogs. I’ve owned and managed a giant breed with specific behavioral and care needs, so I understand how to handle dogs that require extra patience, structure, and attention. I am very comfortable reinforcing training, including basic commands, boundaries, and consistency with routines. I know how important it is to maintain the rules and expectations you’ve set for your pet, not undo them. I am also attentive to each animal’s individual personality and needs, whether that means providing calm companionship, structured activity, or simply making sure they feel safe and comfortable while you’re away. Pet care fits into my routine primarily on weekends, when I have the time to provide focused, attentive care. I already structure my days around caring for my own pets, so I am very comfortable maintaining feeding schedules, routines, and giving pets the attention they need. Because I work full time and attend school during the week, my availability is limited to weekends for dogs but can do daily cat drop-ins. During that time, I am reliable, consistent, and able to give pets quality care through drop-in visits, walks, feeding, and check-ins. I tailor my care based on each pet’s routine and needs. For drop-in visits and walks, I focus on maintaining consistency with feeding schedules, bathroom breaks, exercise, and any specific instructions you provide. I also make sure pets get attention and interaction, not just the basics, so they feel comfortable while you’re away. In my home, I provide a structured but relaxed environment. My own dog follows a routine with scheduled feeding, playtime, and rest, including crate time for sleeping, so I am comfortable maintaining similar routines for other dogs if needed. Dogs in my care have time to be active, as well as space to rest and feel secure. I am also experienced with administering daily medications and am comfortable caring for pets with additional needs. Whether I am in your home or mine, my goal is to keep your pet’s routine as consistent and stress-free as possible.
