“this young lady was amazing. she went above and beyond what a pet sitter does! For one, I had mentioned that I had named my dog after a song ME, YOU AND A DOG NAMED BOO, she found the song and played for my pup. she is responsive to the needs of my pets and the pets adopted her as friend who cares about them. my wife and I appreciate her kindness and attention to my pets that when I found out my October schedule I asked her immediately if she was available”

“Kalina is great! Super patient with our dogs. We didn't request service for our cats, but she gave them some loving anyways! Will definitely request her services again”

“Amanda was great! Very trustworthy and went above and beyond for my pets while I was out of town. She always kept me updated and sent pictures. Definitely will be booking with her again. Thank you!!!!”

“We had a great experience with Michelle! She dropped in twice daily for a few days to care for our two dachshunds and even took the time to meet them beforehand to make sure it was a good fit. The dogs absolutely adored her, and we felt completely at ease knowing they were in such caring hands. We’ll definitely be using Michelle again in the future!”

“Ashleigh is fantastic! She did recurring drop-in visits for our cats while we were away for a few weeks. Her communication is excellent - she would let me know when arriving, when leaving, also sent pics of kitties, and let me know if there were any questions or concerns. She is dependable, trustworthy, and considerate. Plus the kitties loved her! I would absolutely hire her again. And I have already recommended her services to a friend.”

About: I have had dogs since I was 15 years old. I have taken care of them myself in house basically my whole life. I love cuddling with my dogs and don't mind them laying beside me on furniture. I have trained lots of puppies potty duties and crate training. I have had a bunch of senior dogs. I am a nurse by trade, so if your fur baby needs meds, I am definitely the one who can give it to them! I can't wait to meet your baby! I am currently retired nurse who stays home basically all the time. If I do have to leave, it is usually only for a couple of hours. I do not have a fully fenced yard, but I do have a fenced area behind the house that I can put the fur babies in to do their business and get some exercise. If they do not need to be contained, I have 5 acres that they can run and play.

About: What sets me apart is my experience caring for high-needs, large-breed dogs. I’ve owned and managed a giant breed with specific behavioral and care needs, so I understand how to handle dogs that require extra patience, structure, and attention. I am very comfortable reinforcing training, including basic commands, boundaries, and consistency with routines. I know how important it is to maintain the rules and expectations you’ve set for your pet, not undo them. I am also attentive to each animal’s individual personality and needs, whether that means providing calm companionship, structured activity, or simply making sure they feel safe and comfortable while you’re away. Pet care fits into my routine primarily on weekends, when I have the time to provide focused, attentive care. I already structure my days around caring for my own pets, so I am very comfortable maintaining feeding schedules, routines, and giving pets the attention they need. Because I work full time and attend school during the week, my availability is limited to weekends for dogs but can do daily cat drop-ins. During that time, I am reliable, consistent, and able to give pets quality care through drop-in visits, walks, feeding, and check-ins. I tailor my care based on each pet’s routine and needs. For drop-in visits and walks, I focus on maintaining consistency with feeding schedules, bathroom breaks, exercise, and any specific instructions you provide. I also make sure pets get attention and interaction, not just the basics, so they feel comfortable while you’re away. In my home, I provide a structured but relaxed environment. My own dog follows a routine with scheduled feeding, playtime, and rest, including crate time for sleeping, so I am comfortable maintaining similar routines for other dogs if needed. Dogs in my care have time to be active, as well as space to rest and feel secure. I am also experienced with administering daily medications and am comfortable caring for pets with additional needs. Whether I am in your home or mine, my goal is to keep your pet’s routine as consistent and stress-free as possible.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Benton
Samantha did such a great job with my two cats while we were on vacation! I came home to clean cat boxes, full water and food bowls, and happy cats. I’m so happy she came over to take care of them and attend to their needs. It definitely makes the stress of leaving animals at home while on vacation so much easier. She did an amazing job and we will definitely book her again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Benton. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
