“Heath Bar didn’t make it easy - he barked the entire time at Danielle’s unless she was there with him, I k ew he had separation anxiety but the only time it presented for the last several years was while he was alone in the car. His being alone in the house was not a problem for him. My take away is to be certain someone will be at home with him for most of the time he will be in someone else’s care. Danielle was very responsive and kept me informed the day Heath was in her care.”

“Anna was a great communicator and responded quickly when I reached out for her to dog sit and during the day of dog sitting. She sent photos and updates throughout the day, which were greatly appreciated. It was our pup’s first time with a Rover and we were unsure how she’d do, but Anna was so gentle and made her feel as comfortable as possible. It usually takes a few encounters for our puppy to warm up to someone to let them pet or carry her, and Anna was able to do that in the same day. Our puppy is only 5 months old but Anna made us feel so at ease with leaving her in Anna’s care and home. I’d definitely recommend Anna :)”

Over the years, I’ve learned so much from my own dog and two cats, as well as from rescuing and reuniting dogs with their families. Volunteering at sanctuaries and caring for injured wildlife has only deepened my knowledge. Currently, I am a freelancer, so I make my own hours, with plenty of time to love your pets, as well as my own senior dog and 2 cats! Pet sitting in your home: ~It will be kept as clean as you left it—and maybe even cleaner, time permitting! ~I ask that is is clean and scent/smoke-free (allergies) when I arrive. ~I ask for a little space in the fridge for my food. Day care or boarding in my home: ~The spare bedroom is a Pet Air BnB! Enough room for pets to play together throughout the home or take their own space in a room. ~A crate/kennel with padding/bed is required, for everyone's safety and comfort. ~There are multiple clean beds for all the fur babies. That said, a boarding pet is most comfortable when they have their own bed or blanket brought with them, which must be flea/pest-free and clean. ~A collar with tags and leash are required. Harnesses are also recommended. ~Due to landlord restrictions, I can't accept pets in my home over 35 lbs or certain "dangerous" breeds (insurance rules, unfortunately). ~I use only non-toxic, natural, and eco-friendly cleaners and pest repellents for the safety of your pets and the environment. Everywhere: ~I stay alert to your pets' social cues, respecting their boundaries and addressing their needs. I provide stimulating opportunities to explore and burn off energy in a safe and respectful manner.

About: I'm an avid dog person, with knowledge about various breeds, large and small, and how to care for them. I love to hang out with dogs, walk, jog and play! I work from home and have a flexible schedule, so I'm available at your dog's need and during any time of day. I grew up with dogs, and have always had a dog in adult life. I don't know what I would do without a dog! I consider myself an active person who spends time in the great outdoors as often as possible. I enjoy doing yoga, riding my bike, weight training, and walking as forms of exercise. During down time, I love to read, cook, and cuddle with my pooch. I look forward to us getting to know each other better!
