About: I have years of experience training dogs of all breeds and life stages, from playful puppies to gentle seniors. With a securely fenced-in yard and expert handling, I’ll provide customized care that ensures a safe, comfortable, and happy environment for your pup at any age. I'm semi-retired and my children are grown. I'm home most of the time and would love to share our cozy home with your pet in a safe loving environment while you're out of town. I have a quarter acre fenced in backyard, away from any busy streets. We have large & small dog beds in the living room or if you prefer we also do have crate capacity. There is a state park only a few blocks away from the house that has wonderful hiking trails for dogs. Even when it's busy over the holidays we limit the amount of dogs at a time so the dogs don't get overwhelmed.
“5-stars, no question! Thank you Katie for taking such good care of our boy, Cosmo, and making sure he had everything he needed. Katie was super friendly and knowledgeable. And provided lots of great updates on our young, energetic German Shepherd as he ran around her big backyard and got to play with other dogs all week. Perfect for him! And for us. It's clear he had a great time and was well cared for. Will 100% be using her services again.”

“Im so thankful for Jennifer, she was able to watch my puppy last minute, she was great communicating with me throughout my puppy stay. She’s wonderful with animals and I definitely will be booking another stay with her and her family!!”

About: I’ve had dogs my whole life growing up. Anywhere from small, medium, to large dogs. I’ve had mini dachshunds, Dalmatians, St. Bernards, and German Shepherds. Currently right now I have a 3 Golden Retrievers named Willie, Waylon, and Hank. I also have a cat named Cash! I current work full time Monday-Thursday. I can be available later evenings if needed, we would just have to work things out in advance. I am generally free Friday-Sunday for any needs as well but also with notice. We have a 2 acre yard that my pups are free to roam via a underground fence. But we also have a lead for my moms dogs when she brings them over to play. We have a big house with a good sized living room and kitchen where all of my pups play as well when we have to be inside.
About: I’ve always had family animals that I’ve adored and that got my foot into working in rescue! I’ve work with extra small to extra large dogs, a lot of cats and some other species. I feel very comfortable with behavioral differences in different animals. I’ve worked along side very talented vets and techs that have taught me a lot about medical care, as well. I work part time at home with a dog and two cats. I take physical and mental enrichment very seriously for all animals. Any animal I’m caring for comes first everyday. A tired dog is a happy dog. I have friendly animals at home, a large crate if needed and a separate room set up for shy animals to warm up to the other animals. We have a large (not fenced) yard but we take many long walks a day to keep up with physical needs!
“Laura was fantastic with Tasha, she sent me updates and photos, walked her a couple of times a day. Tasha had a nice time staying overnight. But mostly, i loved that her boy enjoyed having her in his house :)”

“Alexis was fantastic. I booked her last minute and she did an amazing job. Sadie had an upset stomach when I dropped her off and Alexis did a great job with Sadie's meds and looking after her. She was feeling much better when she got home. Would definitely book again.”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
