“Dillon was wonderful with Sam. He took Sam on great adventure walks through a different park or site everyday. Sam was always happy to see Dillon pull up to the house. Dillon handled Sam well. He was a very good communicator. I liked the pictures he would send of Sam’s daily walks. I fully trusted Dillon that he would take of Sam. I highly recommend Dillon to anyone wanting a competent and caring young man to take care of their pet anytime. I will definitely call upon his services again. Thanks Dillon! You are always welcome to come by anytime to check in with Sam. 🐶😊”

“Sam was great! She was able to help me out in a pinch. She was prompt and informative. She requested instructions and followed them perfectly. And Korben obviously loved her too!”

“Eleanor is a staple of my Zeke dog’s care team. She has been walking him every week for over a year (and clearly demonstrates patience with me). Eleanor is dedicated, reliable, communicative and repeatedly steps up to help as her schedule allows. Eleanor provides invaluable care and I’m happy for those reading this to have found her!”
“Sarah has been with our Perry every day for 3 months now and we do not know what we would do without her. She goes above and beyond for him! You can really tell how much she loves dogs and how Perry has become special to her. She is extremely reliable, consistent, communicative. I wouldn’t trust anyone else for Perry’s daily walks and I’m so glad we found her!”

About: Hi, I'm Brooke! I'm a senior at U of L and a certified animal lover. I’ve been around animals my whole life, as I grew up with both cats and dogs, and began caring for neighbors’ pets at 10 years old. Since then, I’ve had years of experience with house sitting, daily walks, and drop-in visits for neighbors and family friends, often working through word of mouth and personal recommendations. I’ve worked as both a stay-in pet sitter and a weekly dog walker, and I love meeting new furry friends and making sure they feel safe, loved, and well-cared for. I’ve cared for puppies, kittens, high-energy animals, and senior pets with special needs, and I’m comfortable adapting to a wide range of temperaments and energy levels. What sets me apart is my reliability, communication, and my attention to care when it comes to treating your pets with patience, love, and respect. I am currently a U of L student with weekday classes that I will be attending in-person and will need to be on campus for. Most days I will only need to be on campus for 3-5 hours at a time, so please feel free to message and we can work out a schedule that works for your pets! I always try to meet with the family before sitting or dropping-in so that I understand how any pets are used to their home feeling. I follow all instructions left by the owners, and try to keep a loving and clean environment for the animals. I also try to be very communicative with owners about any questions or concerns, and will gladly provide pictures/videos of animals to the owners request. I also love playing with animals and making sure they get enough activity so they can get some fresh air and love! Additionally, I am a pre-medical student at U of L and have many hours of emergency experience with basic life support (BLS) and have taken a veterinary BLS course. I know how to administer CPR and perform the Heimlich maneuver on cats and dogs. (I do not have experience administering care to additional animals at this time.) I am also prepared to take any animals to the closest veterinary ER in case of emergency.
“Emily is my first dog walker and so good! She treats my dog with lots of attention and praise during her walk times. I LOVE the pics and videos, which make me feel like part of me is there”

About: I've had at least 3 dogs within my family at a time, ranging for 50-130 pounds. I have experience with all breeds of dogs from toy poodles to great danes, and I've never met a dog I don't love. I've taken care of dogs who had daily pill regimens, and dogs who love to start their day at 6 am, so I've gained some interesting experience along the way. I'm very patient with puppies because I've trained two puppies already, and I know the type of commitment it takes to maintain training. I always had bigger breeds growing up so I'm always open to dogs other people might be hesitant about, and I know there's no such thing as a bully breed!
“Maggie is the best person to care for your animals! She is dependable, flexible, and so good with them- I love that she spent dogsitting time playing “beauty shop” to groom my girls up a little. Would 10/10 recommend her to anyone looking for a great pet caretaker 😊😊”

“I appreciated the check in's to inform me when the walk was initiated and completed. It gave me peace of mind while I was away. It was a great experience and I plan to use Rover again and hope Jessica is available for future dog walks.”

About: I have had dogs of own my whole life…all sizes and breeds. I do weekly visits for various family member’s pets as they are working. I am currently retired from IT consulting so I can be available most days and hours to walk/play and comfort your dogs. Looking forward to it. I have a fenced in backyard and one small dog who loves all dogs and would love to meet/play with your dogs. She is very calm and so would be compatible with others.
About: I’ve been around pets basically my whole life. I have lots of experience taking care of my own dogs for long periods of time and love spending time with them! Pet care is an everyday thing for me as I am responsible for getting my 3 dogs exercise and feeding them daily. As well as entertaining them. I have a very large backyard that is great for dogs to be able to play in. My home is also a very cozy place that most animals love.
“Athena was absolutely wonderful with Juno! She is so friendly and professional, and goes above and beyond. I forgot to leave my key for her and she came by my work to pick it up! Juno looked so happy when I got home, I could tell she had had a good day thanks to her walk.”

About: I love animals and I have been taking care of them forever! I have three pets at home (two dogs and a cat) and I currently work at tops kennel! I take care of animals daily having three of my own! I also work at tops kennels 2-3 days a week where i take care of dogs and cats. I spend as much time as possible with my pets so I will do the same with yours! I love taking care of animals and intend to take good care of your pets.
About: I’ve lived with pets all my life, and I’m pretty relaxed and patient with animals. Whether your pet is energetic, shy, or somewhere in the middle, I try to match their vibe and keep things comfortable for them — just like I do with my students. I can handle walks, feeding, and giving nervous pets time to warm up. I’m reliable, detail-oriented, and always make sure pets get the care and attention they’re used to at home. My schedule is pretty flexible. I only teach in the evenings twice a week, so I have plenty of time during the day and on weekends to give pets steady attention, walks, playtime, and care that matches their normal routine. I live in a very pet-friendly apartment building with strong security and controlled access. I keep a calm, organized environment and follow each pet’s routine closely so they feel safe, relaxed, and cared for. I always pay attention to details and make sure pets are never put in unsafe situations.
About: I’ve owned dogs my whole life, mostly big dogs. I have cared for cats, dogs, birds, hamsters and fish of neighbors and friends since I was 8! I love animals and understand the stress of finding someone reliable to take care of my animals. I am currently a college student trying to save money to pay off my tuition. I am relatively flexible. I am free most afternoons and weekends! I have a large crazy dog and understand the things they can get into. Along with keeping your dog safe, I will be sure to keep your home safe too!
Belknap dog parents share their Rover experiences
Very sweet! Was able to accommodate me on very short notice, which I appreciated. She brought a treat for Biscuit, which he loves, and was understanding of his initial barking when she showed up. Sent me plenty of photos and texted to update me on how he behaved. Thank you!

Thomas is awesome with dogs, and we will definitely keep using him in the future. Our dog loves him, and we are very comfortable leaving him in Thomas's care. Thomas is very professional and clear on his plan of care and overall expectations from the beginning and sends confirmation messages/texts to make sure we are all on the same page before we leave for our trip. He does exactly what we want him to do and sends lots of pictures of our big guy while on walks and lounging around. It makes traveling so much easier when you know your pet is well taken care of while you are away.

Ashton was so great and super friendly. I was a little worried at first because our dog is still a puppy and jumps and gets excited on walks when she sees squirrels and birds. She sent updates and pictures. She was also okay with coming over the day before to do a meet and greet! Would recommend!
