“Dorothy is a wonderful pet sitter. She expertly cared for our elderly German Shepherd and grumpy rescue Parrot. Our Shepherd has always suffered from a nervous tummy and had loose stools while we were gone and used the bathroom on the floor multiple times. Dorothy went above and beyond and shampooed the carpet every time without even asking her too. She sent updates and photos with every visit and even took the trash out. We would recommend her to anyone!”

About: I love all animals (except maybe tarantulas) and know how important it is to have a responsible person to care for your pets while you are away. As a former vet tech, I can identify issues early, know when they can be treated at home vs requiring a vet visit, and I can also administer medications and fluids. While I cannot board animals in my own home due to having two dogs of my own, I can't wait to cuddle with your pets while you're away and ensure they are well taken care of! I have worked remotely for the past 12 years. I am in between jobs at the moment but still only searching for remote roles, so my schedule is very flexible. About: I've taken care of neighbors cats and dogs since I was 10 or 11, along with watering plants and making sure they get packages inside. I have experience with watching as many as four dogs and two cats at a time, but I can do less... or more :) I've been relied on to feed, walk, bathe, and play with pets and I love every minute of it! My husband is in the Navy and we moved here a few months ago, so I’m still new to the Augusta area. I work part-time as a preschool teacher Monday-Friday, but besides that, I have ample time to devote to the care of your pets! While you take some time away from home to work, vacation, and everything in between, you can always reach out to me to know your pets will be in loving hands! I’m a preschool teacher, so I work 8-2 Monday through Friday! I can offer care before or after those times and on weekends as well. I have a car and a flexible schedule! Starting in mid-May, I will be on summer break until early August. This means I will have even more time to spend with your pets while you travel or work! My husband and I have a super friendly cat at home, so we would be open to boarding cats only. However if you have dogs, or dogs and cats, I will gladly drop in or stay at your home. Whenever I’m not working, I want to be with your pets; giving ample amounts of love and play time! I'm comfortable with crating animals if necessary, but I also adore pets who love cuddles and sharing a bed. I also have experience keeping pets safe in a fenced in yard.

I have been watching pets for friends and family for several years now and I strive to give excellent care and attention to any animals under my care. I have experience with both large and small dogs, cats, and many different species of reptiles and rodents as well. I am happy to accommodate any needs or wants for your pets while in my care and I assure you that they will be given the utmost care and attention. Whether it is overnight or simply a walk around the neighborhood, I will treat your pet as if they were my own. I am currently available all day, every day of the week so I can give plenty of individual attention to your fur babies at any time of day! I currently have three years of veterinary medicine experience and use this to enhance my care of the pets I come in contact with. Recently, I acquired my fear free certification to show my commitment to keeping animals as calm and relaxed as possible in any situation.
