“Kaia & Desean were perfect for Tucker! Their property really does lend itself to boarding for dogs with wide open spaces for them to play in and company of their own pets too! They also hold the same values and expectations that we do in terms of his behavior, so felt truly comfortable that his training was continued as we hoped in our absence. Would definitely recommend them!”

“Kristen and her husband were incredible! We needed last minute care for our dog, George, and they welcomed him open arms. They have a very warm home and the sweetest pup, Ruby. We are grateful we found them!”

“Great experience! Our dogs were well cared for, and we appreciated the photos, updates, and the wonderful interaction with them. Thank you for taking such good care of our pets!”

About: I am a freshman majoring in Pre-Vet so I am very familiar with animals especially dogs. I grew up with dogs, have a dog of my own at home, sitting, walking, training, puppies, etc. I am currently a freshman student at Auburn but my school schedule is very flexible and I have many gaps throughout my days. My busiest day this semester is Wednesday. I always treat the house like it’s my own. I am a very clean, responsible, trustworthy person who cares about how my home feels, looks, and making sure it is comfortable for everyone. I prefer pets staying in my house.
“Don was friendly and calm and seemed to bond with my dog Boomer pretty quickly. Boomer can be a little leery of strangers, but took to Don easily. His big fenced yard was a plus as Boomer loves to run. I will definitely use Don in the future. He was quick to respond to my texts or calls.”

About: I’ve always loved animals and have experience caring for both dogs and cats. I had a cat who was part of my family for 16 years, which taught me a lot about caring for an older pet with patience, love, and attention to their individual needs. I currently continue to care for dogs and cats, including my friends’ pets and my sister’s cat. I’m comfortable with feeding, walks, playtime, companionship, and following each pet’s specific routine and instructions. I understand that every pet has a different personality and needs, and I take the time to make them feel safe and comfortable. I’m responsible, attentive, and respectful of both pets and their homes. Whether your pet is energetic, shy, playful, or older, I’ll treat them with the same care and affection I would give my own. I have a flexible schedule that allows me to dedicate plenty of time and attention to pets. I can fit pet care, walks, playtime, and check-ins into my daily routine while making sure each pet receives consistent and personalized care. My apartment is quite spacious, with three floors, giving pets plenty of room to feel comfortable and move around. My complex also has a designated dog park, which is great for walks, playtime, and exercise. I provide a safe, clean, and welcoming environment and always follow each pet’s routine and specific needs.

About: I have taken care of dogs and cats of all kinds. I have always grown up with both. I dog sit frequently for my neighbors and friends! I love cats and have experience with them as well! I am currently in college at Auburn and I am typically there from 11-2 or 1230-330. I am about to start my job at Longhorn which I would typically work in the afternoon hours are unknown at the time. Pet care would be a priority and I would walk and care for the animal every chance I would have. I do not have a fenced in yard and I live in a trailer park by Auburn university. If wanted or needed I can crate your pet whenever I am at school or work!
About: I have had my beagle for almost 6 years and one of my favorite things to do is take her to cute parks I find. If you know anything about beagles, you know they are very curious dogs who arent that great at walks - so I am experienced in taking care of slightly difficult dogs and love them regardless!! I am currently a biomedical sciences student at Auburn university. With my current schedule, I am in class until 1:00 on Mon/Wed and from 12:30-4:00 Tues/Thurs. Fridays I am unavailable until 5:00pm. I have a fenced in yard and an open courtyard nearby. My family dog has a lot of energy, so I am used to playing lots of games to get some of that energy out!
“I was able to book with Casey last minute and she took great care of my Sweetie. When my cousin picked my dog up she said my dog was walking around like she was home and comfortable. I would definitely rebook and you should too.”

About: I’ve been a “dog person” (personally & now professionally) all my life, and have experience with big and small pups of all breeds, ages, and energy levels. I work at the vet school and have lots of home/yard space, time, and a social dog of my own that would happily welcome your fur baby! On weekdays, I either wfh or go into the office just 5mins away, so I’m always able to come home midday for potty breaks. I’m an active dog mom & love to walk around the neighborhood or nearby trails, but also have a large private fenced yard and a million toys if your dog prefers to get exercise that way. I also love & welcome the couch potatoes - all furniture is open for lounging and cuddles. I have been fostering & training dogs for the last 15 years and have basic medical training - so if your pup has any special considerations just reach out to discuss! My life pretty much revolves around my own dog, with a regular feeding/potty/play/lounging schedule, so guests would fit right into that routine. My schedule is very flexible & pups are never left alone for more than a few hours at a time. I have a fenced in yard with plenty of space to zoom and sniff around. I have a ~2yr old mixed breed dog (Mac) who is extremely social and loves making people/dog friends. He is playful, but often goes to dog parks and seems to adapt to whatever energy level the other dogs are, so he’s adaptable & loves chill time just the same.
“Lexie did such a great job with my fur baby Salem. I was gone for a week. I so worried to leave my pup for so long. Lexie and her husband were so sweet, and welcoming. We were able to me her fur babies they were so kind and got along perfectly with my girl. Lexie sent updates almost daily. Overall I am so happy with Lexie and how she took care of our baby. I will definitely be rebooking in the future!”

“Christina was great! Our dogs seemed calm and content when we brought them home. She sent pictures all weekend of them on walks and her sons loving on our boys, which melted my heart. I like that even though she had a backyard and let them play in it she still took them on walks. I also like that they were allowed on her couch, as our pups are allowed on the couch at our house. She was able to accommodate changing the drop off time as well. Her house was clean and smelled really good when I dropped them off as well. I would definitely trust my pups with her again.”

About: Taken care of all animals different pieces and sizes! I live to go on runs so if your doggo needs some energy expenditure I can make that happen run usually span from 2 miles up to 13miles! My doggies run every other day and go to the dog park every day in between! Very quiet household! So if you need your doggies tired just let me know! Live in a large apartment so there is plenty of space for them to play but pets are taken out for runs and dog park pretty much every day.
“Gloria is very kind & my Loki had a great stay with her! I had never left him with anyone and was very nervous about leaving him with someone I didn't know at all but she is very genuine, kind, has the perfect setup for dogs. When we come back next year for my son's next graduation I will 100% be booking with Gloria again! Loki is a very sweet dog but sometimes he is very skittish of new people. He took up with her immediately and probably would have stayed from now on with her! Also, I have to say I booked very last second, late at night as my other plans fell through & she really bailed me out. I can't recommend her enough or articulate just how much of a blessing she was for my family during a very important trip.”

About: I have grown up with pets, I got my own dog when I was 12. I walked, bathed her, and fed her. After school I would walk many neighborhood dogs. I love all animals. We had a cat that got fixed and she ate out her stitches completely and the wound opened up. I calmly held her, packed the wound, and wrapped her up. I held her all the way to the vet. I’ve always loved animals and will take care of yours just as I would my own. Since I have a dog I care for her everyday. I have a job currently at a restaurant so my schedule varies every week, I usually work morning shifts until around 5 pm, but my schedule is different most weeks. I take my dog out right when I wake up and right when I get home, I will also feed her right when I get home. I have a little front yard but the neighborhood I am in is a good place to walk dogs. I have a little dog of my own and I make sure to keep my house clean and anything that could harm her is up and out of the way. In another clients home I would make sure to keep the area just as I found it and take the dog wherever the owner usually would walk there’s or if they have any other requests I would be willing to do them.

“Could not recommend her enough! Claudia was communicative, updated me on how my pup was doing multiple times throughout the day, sent me many pics/vids showing me he was having a great time. And when I picked him up, he was a tired HAPPY pup. I will certainly be booking again!”

“Brenda is amazing!!!! Communication and pictures sent on a daily basis. Lots of love and snuggles for my two babies. They really had an awesome time. Will rebook again with her!!! ??”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Beauregard home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Beauregard.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Beauregard sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in AL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
