“We had a great experience using Rover for the first time with Erin as our sitter! She did everything my husband and I requested. She has a true passion for animals. We received updates on what went on during the drop in visits as well as photos of our pups every visit. The dogs looked so happy! It was great to see them happy even though we were not home. Plus we enjoyed seeing the photos when we missed them. Absolutely recommend Erin for your pet sitting needs!”
“Laura is perfect! She has such a nice personality, she arrives on time, feeds our kittens and plays with them. She gave us daily updates with pictures while we were on vacation to let us know everything was going well. We will definitely have Laura watch our kittens again!”

“Logan is always so great with my fur babies! I've booked him for house sitting, as well as drop-ins (sometimes even last minute!). He's very communicative, professional, and friendly. My house is always in good condition when I get home and my animals are as happy as can be! I will continue to book with Logan any time I can :)”

“Heather was absolutely wonderful caring for our three kitties while we were on vacation for a week. She communicated including pictures every day and even watered our flowers for us. She provided great peace of mind so we could enjoy our time away and not worry. We will definitely be repeat customers. Thank you Heather!”

“Ashley is amazing! My chocolate lab is very shy and doesn’t warm up to most people—but she absolutely loves Ashley. She’s so patient, caring, and great with both of my dogs. I couldn’t ask for anyone better!”

About: Although i don’t have extensive experience with training i love spending time with my furry, four legged friends. I enjoy playing outside and teaching them new things. I would love to meet and see if me and your dog could be a good fit! I work partially remote in the IT field and I’m looking for something to fill my time within the week that could not only be something i enjoy but also make some extra money! I currently live in a 2 bedroom house with my dog Marshall. He is a one year old Australian shepherd and loves all dogs and humans. Marshall is crate trained and we have a good size fenced in back yard.
About: I have experience with animals in all settings. I have helped distract puppies when they receive their first shots and I have helped dogs who get laser therapy. I have helped care for the pets family and friend throughout my entire life. I have always enjoyed helping people but helping pets is so special. I work part time 0.5 mile away from home. I usually work from 12pm- 8pm. Or later in the evening usually between 5pm - 2 am. When I am not home my boyfriend is home most of the day. I live in a safe and quiet apartment, without a fenced in yard. I have an American bulldog mix. I enjoy going for walks and bringing out the best in my favorite fuzzy critters.
About: 🐾 About Me Hi! I’m Cassidy, and animals have been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember. I help operate our family-run pet care business, Furry Cuddles and Care LLC, where we’ve cared for hundreds of dogs and cats through boarding, daycare, drop-ins, and house sitting. I grew up helping care for pets of all ages, sizes, and personalities, including puppies, senior pets, anxious dogs, high-energy breeds, and multi-pet households. I’m very comfortable with feeding routines, medication administration, potty schedules, crate training, and helping pets feel safe and comfortable while their families are away. My goal is always to create a calm, loving, structured home environment where pets are treated like family, not like they’re in a kennel. Pets staying with me receive lots of supervision, attention, playtime, and affection throughout the day. I have experience with both dogs and cats, including homes with multiple pets. I also understand how important communication is to pet parents, so I make sure to send regular updates, photos, and messages during every stay. As a college athlete and honors student, I’m dependable, organized, responsible, and committed to providing safe and loving care for every pet entrusted to me. 🐾 What I Offer (Drop-Ins + House Sitting) I provide drop-in visits and house sitting for both dogs and cats. My goal is for your pets to feel safe, happy, and loved in their own home while you’re away. I can help with: • Feeding + fresh water • Walks, playtime, and enrichment • Litter box care and basic cleaning • Medication (routine, non-injectable) • Calming anxious or shy pets • Cuddles or space, whatever your pet prefers • Photos and updates every visit • Watering plants, bringing in mail, and light home care My home is set up to provide a safe, comfortable, home-style environment for pets. I am not a kennel or high-volume boarding facility. I intentionally provide personalized care and supervision so pets feel relaxed and at home during their stay. I have a fenced yard for supervised outdoor play and experience safely managing dogs with different energy levels and personalities. I can separate pets when needed and are experienced with introductions, nervous dogs, puppies, and pets that need extra attention. I also have cat-friendly spaces with separate areas available for cats or pets that need quieter accommodations. 🐾 Why You Can Trust Me Pet care has always been a family effort for us, and it’s something I genuinely care deeply about. Through helping operate our family’s pet care business, I’ve gained years of hands-on experience caring for dogs and cats with all kinds of personalities, routines, and needs. I understand how important trust is when someone is caring for your pets or entering your home, and I never take that responsibility lightly. I’m responsible, dependable, respectful, and truly love animals. Whether your pet is energetic and playful, shy and anxious, or needs extra patience and attention, I work hard to make them feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. I treat every pet like they’re part of my own family and always aim to provide a calm, loving, home-style environment rather than a kennel experience.
“Nikki did a great job watching my dog so I could go get my hair done. She has a very calm demeanor about her when it comes to dogs and that’s exactly what my dog needed. I would recommend Nikki!”
“Jennifer is absolutely amazing! Proactive with setting up a meeting and greet. Answered all of my questions without any hesitation. Winslow absolutely loved her! Prompt communication and very passionate about what she does. I highly recommend her to anyone in need of animal care! Will be booking again!”

“Shannon was a great companion for my pet while I was away. She even accommodated me when travel troubles delayed my return home and checked on my cat for an extra day. I really appreciate her communication and readiness to help!”

“This was Olivia’s first time watching our cats and she was seriously outstanding. She really went above and beyond, overcoming some inconveniences to provide excellent care. I highly recommend.”
About: I've had dogs my whole life growing up and have had them into my adult life. I dog sit for a friend now on a regular basis. I work part-time doing hair during the week. I now work on the weekends at doubletree, so my availability is limited now. But ask and see if we can work something out! I'd be happy to dog sit if I can! I have a nice sized fenced in yard for your dog to run and play. My dog loves to meet new friends! I can also go to your house and let your dog(s) out and take them for walks if needed! I have a separate room to crate also if need be.
About: I have 10 years of experience. I have taken care of a puppy before. I'm pretty skilled when it comes to keeping dogs occupied and happy. I'm very patient and calm, I have always loved taking care of and watching doggies! I am self-employed so I have plenty of time on my hand. So, I have plenty of time to keep an eye on and play with your doggie. I can easily crate the dog if need. I have tons of doggie beds and food. A ton of treats and toys for the doggies. And every doggie goes home with a new toy.
“Megan was absolutely incredible with Harley! She was prompt, sent photos and updates with each pop in. Her communication is amazing. She also helped me out with a last minute emergency pop in. She is really a great sitter and I'm so glad we chose her!!!”

About: I have personally owned cats, dogs, horses, cows, chickens, guinea pigs, hamsters, and there are very few animals that I’m *not* comfortable with. I have raised bully breeds from bottles, and I have a ton of experience with large dogs as well as small. I’m not allergic to any animals- and I love snuggling and playing. I’m a super calm person and I think animals feed off of our energy. I work full time from home and have quite a bit of flexibility as I can do my job from anywhere with an internet connection. I have a fenced yard- but as I’ll be more likely to watch your animals in your home, I’m flexible. I’m an active person, and a true animal lover. We can customize what your pet needs from me. I’m a special needs mom, and I have a crazy amount of patience.

Holy smokes Nikki is fantastic! She enthusiastically accepted a last min request (like within a couple hours) after we got stuck out of state thx to cancelled flights, and our 2 Bernese Mountain Dogs (100lb +) require a LOT of specific care. Well sis went waaaaaaaaay above and beyond by picking up 20+ piles of poo in our large back yard (my least fave thing to do after a trip..!) without me even hinting, let alone asking her to do it. Plus sent super cute pics! So impressed, you’re great Nikki, thank you!

10/10 would let him come over again! - Cajsa + Freja, very picky Bernese Mountain Dogs 🐾🐾 Logan really came through for us on a last minute trip, a true godsend! Our girls require very specific care, and even a small mishap could have life or death consequences. As such, hiring a new sitter is always nerve wracking but Logan was fantastic! Super chill, flexible, understanding and easy to talk to. And our girls don’t usually favor men, but they accepted him right away. Thanks again, Logan, we’ll def reach out for our next trip!

I hired Samantha to feed and walk my two puppies while I was at work during the weekdays. Puppies received excellent care, she tended to their needs as I care for them. Samantha sent pictures and text updates throughout the process. I am going to recommend her to friends and family.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
