About: Hi! I’m Olivia, and I have over 5 years of experience caring for dogs and cats of all ages, sizes, and personalities. As a fitness coach, I live an active lifestyle and love spending time outdoors, making me a great fit for pets who enjoy walks, playtime, and plenty of activity. Whether your pet is an energetic puppy, a senior companion, or somewhere in between, I provide personalized care based on their unique needs and routine. My goal is to make every pet feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. I understand that pets are family, and I treat every animal in my care with the same attention and compassion I would give my own. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family members! Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I work part-time as an online fitness coach and as an administrative assistant for a local school, which allows me to maintain a flexible schedule while providing reliable care for your pets. During the school year, I am primarily available Fridays through Sundays for walks, drop-in visits, and pet sitting. In June and July, my schedule opens up significantly, allowing for much greater availability throughout the week. No matter the season, I am committed to being dependable, communicative, and ensuring your pets receive the attention and care they deserve. am attentive to each pet’s individual needs, routines, and preferences, and I will follow any instructions you provide to ensure consistency and comfort. Whether we’re out on a walk, enjoying playtime, or simply spending time together at home, you can count on me to provide responsible, loving care and keep you updated along the way.
About: Although i don’t have extensive experience with training i love spending time with my furry, four legged friends. I enjoy playing outside and teaching them new things. I would love to meet and see if me and your dog could be a good fit! I work partially remote in the IT field and I’m looking for something to fill my time within the week that could not only be something i enjoy but also make some extra money! I currently live in a 2 bedroom house with my dog Marshall. He is a one year old Australian shepherd and loves all dogs and humans. Marshall is crate trained and we have a good size fenced in back yard.
“Process was super easy. Megan responded very quickly right from the start and throughout the stay. We worked out an arrangement I think we were both happy with. She is very friendly and has such an honest and reliable demeanor that I immediately felt comfortable leaving my pooches in her care. Megan sent pictures and little update messages with almost every visit so I could see that my pups were safe and happy. GREAT experience and I would definitely book with Megan again in the future.”

“Shannon was a great companion for my pet while I was away. She even accommodated me when travel troubles delayed my return home and checked on my cat for an extra day. I really appreciate her communication and readiness to help!”

“This was Olivia’s first time watching our cats and she was seriously outstanding. She really went above and beyond, overcoming some inconveniences to provide excellent care. I highly recommend.”
About: I have always loved dogs! I have owned one almost my entire life. I have stayed overnight with friends dogs many times while they're out of town. I am active, so walking and playing will be no problem. My summer is very open, so I hope to be filling my time with your dogs and puppies! I have a few references, that I have house/pet sat for, if you would like to contact them. I love big dogs, medium dogs, small dogs, skinny dogs, fat dogs, all dogs! I had an Airedale Terrier who had ACL repairement surgery twice. This gave me experience with giving medications, rehabilitation & disabled dogs. Kellogg that you see was my foster dog, he’s living his best life with his new dad. If your dog loves to play, my parent’s dog, Arlo, is always down for some laps around the yard…If you're missing your dog, we will have a photo shoot and send you as many pictures as needed! Aside from loving dogs (which you unfortunately can't get a degree in) I have a bachelors degree from CMU & a masters degree from Wayne State University. I am a teacher, so love and patience are my middle names. My almost 8 year old son is also a dog lover and will be helping me give the best care possible. I hope you allow me to have fun with your pup! Message me to check availability! I am on summer break, meaning I have lots of extra time for my own pup as well as helping out with someone else’s pup! Always make sure to follow the plan left for me by the owner. Take extra precautions to make sure the pup is secure inside and outside of the home.
About: I've had dogs my whole life growing up and have had them into my adult life. I dog sit for a friend now on a regular basis. I work part-time doing hair during the week. I now work on the weekends at doubletree, so my availability is limited now. But ask and see if we can work something out! I'd be happy to dog sit if I can! I have a nice sized fenced in yard for your dog to run and play. My dog loves to meet new friends! I can also go to your house and let your dog(s) out and take them for walks if needed! I have a separate room to crate also if need be.
About: I have 10 years of experience. I have taken care of a puppy before. I'm pretty skilled when it comes to keeping dogs occupied and happy. I'm very patient and calm, I have always loved taking care of and watching doggies! I am self-employed so I have plenty of time on my hand. So, I have plenty of time to keep an eye on and play with your doggie. I can easily crate the dog if need. I have tons of doggie beds and food. A ton of treats and toys for the doggies. And every doggie goes home with a new toy.
About: I've owned several dogs since I was a child, and it was often up to me to take care of them, I used to walk my boys every day, and I do quite miss it. Cats are even closer to my heart, I can think of few times I haven't had a cat somewhere in my home, often times I joke that I prefer their company over actual people. I'm currently not working, so I have PLENTY of time to walk/ spend with your fur babies, the only time I can't is some weekdays after 5 to take care of my little one. I love to walk with dogs, and I'm also a very cautious person, so you won't have to worry about your pets being in any sort of danger. I look both ways, and I avoid questionable places and people. I try to be as vigilant about the comfort of animals as I can, and I think their boundaries are very important to respect!
About: I have personally owned cats, dogs, horses, cows, chickens, guinea pigs, hamsters, and there are very few animals that I’m *not* comfortable with. I have raised bully breeds from bottles, and I have a ton of experience with large dogs as well as small. I’m not allergic to any animals- and I love snuggling and playing. I’m a super calm person and I think animals feed off of our energy. I work full time from home and have quite a bit of flexibility as I can do my job from anywhere with an internet connection. I have a fenced yard- but as I’ll be more likely to watch your animals in your home, I’m flexible. I’m an active person, and a true animal lover. We can customize what your pet needs from me. I’m a special needs mom, and I have a crazy amount of patience.
“Shadow and his family give Merissa five out of five paws! If you are looking for someone to spend less than two minutes with your pet, Merissa may not be the person for you. She stopped by roughly 30 minutes during each visit and made sure that Shadow wasn't lonely while we were on vacation. She sent multiple pictures to us every time she stopped over, even if he wasn't interested in having his picture taken. Most importantly to us, she didn't give up on him. The first couple days, he was somewhat apprehensive with someone new looking after him -- he didn't want to eat much or play (which is unlike him). On Day 3, Merissa was able to finally get him out of his funk and act like his playful self (as supported by pictures). Someone else may have just decided to not put in the effort and let our sleepy dog lie, but that wasn't the case with her! So, by all means, don't pick Merissa unless your pet is ready to have someone play with him or her while you are gone. If you want your pet to feel lonely, don't pick her, because she will make sure that your pet gets a lot of attention. And definitely don't pick her, if your pet is camera shy, because you will never have to wonder for too long how your pet is doing. However, if you want to make sure that your pet is cared for while you are away, you should consider booking her right away. Again, Shadow rates her five out of five paws and that is what really matters!”

I hired Samantha to feed and walk my two puppies while I was at work during the weekdays. Puppies received excellent care, she tended to their needs as I care for them. Samantha sent pictures and text updates throughout the process. I am going to recommend her to friends and family.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
