“Logan is always so great with my fur babies! I've booked him for house sitting, as well as drop-ins (sometimes even last minute!). He's very communicative, professional, and friendly. My house is always in good condition when I get home and my animals are as happy as can be! I will continue to book with Logan any time I can :)”

“Erin did such a fantastic job with checking on my cats while I was out of state. She sent me pics during each drop in visit and provided my cats exactly what they needed. Would definitely recommend and use again! Thanks Erin!”

“This was our second time booking with Laura, and she is such an amazing kitty sitter. She not only takes such good care of our cats, but also takes the time to put together a thorough 'report card' and takes such sweet photos. Really helps reassure me when I'm away”

“Ashley was wonderful with my little Tad! So helpful and kept me posted on how he was doing. Thank you for the last minute booking, we will see you again soon I’m sure.”

“Nikki did a great job watching my dog so I could go get my hair done. She has a very calm demeanor about her when it comes to dogs and that’s exactly what my dog needed. I would recommend Nikki!”
“Shannon has been great with our puppy. She treats her like her own and has been very reliable. She is flexible with our schedule too which is a godsend. Cannot recommend enough!”

About: Although i don’t have extensive experience with training i love spending time with my furry, four legged friends. I enjoy playing outside and teaching them new things. I would love to meet and see if me and your dog could be a good fit! I work partially remote in the IT field and I’m looking for something to fill my time within the week that could not only be something i enjoy but also make some extra money! I currently live in a 2 bedroom house with my dog Marshall. He is a one year old Australian shepherd and loves all dogs and humans. Marshall is crate trained and we have a good size fenced in back yard.

About: Hi! I’m Olivia, and I have over 5 years of experience caring for dogs and cats of all ages, sizes, and personalities. As a fitness coach, I live an active lifestyle and love spending time outdoors, making me a great fit for pets who enjoy walks, playtime, and plenty of activity. Whether your pet is an energetic puppy, a senior companion, or somewhere in between, I provide personalized care based on their unique needs and routine. My goal is to make every pet feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. I understand that pets are family, and I treat every animal in my care with the same attention and compassion I would give my own. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family members! Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I work part-time as an online fitness coach and as an administrative assistant for a local school, which allows me to maintain a flexible schedule while providing reliable care for your pets. During the school year, I am primarily available Fridays through Sundays for walks, drop-in visits, and pet sitting. In June and July, my schedule opens up significantly, allowing for much greater availability throughout the week. No matter the season, I am committed to being dependable, communicative, and ensuring your pets receive the attention and care they deserve. am attentive to each pet’s individual needs, routines, and preferences, and I will follow any instructions you provide to ensure consistency and comfort. Whether we’re out on a walk, enjoying playtime, or simply spending time together at home, you can count on me to provide responsible, loving care and keep you updated along the way.
“Jen was amazing with our girl! Our dog gave her a ran for her money, but Jen is super patient and understanding. She updated up everytime she came to see our dog, took photos, and it gave us a peace of mind.”

About: Dogs have always been my greatest passion. I have over 10 years of experience rescuing and caring for dogs of all ages, sizes, and personalities. I’m originally from Peru, where there are many stray dogs, and I volunteered with several animal shelters, helping rescue, rehabilitate, and care for dogs in need. After moving to Michigan, I continued doing what I love by working at the Humane Society of Manistee County, where I walked dogs and helped care for them every day. I also have 3–4 years of experience as a pet sitter and dog walker. I understand how important it is to earn a dog’s trust and make them feel safe, loved, and comfortable. I will care for your dog as if they were my own, with patience, compassion, and plenty of love. I have a very flexible schedule and I’m available mornings, afternoons, evenings, and overnight. Caring for animals is something I truly enjoy, so I love spending my time with pets. Being around dogs and cats genuinely makes me happy, and I’m committed to giving them the attention, love, and care they deserve whenever you need me. At this time, I offer dog walking, drop-in visits, and house sitting for dogs and cats. Unfortunately, I’m not able to provide boarding or daycare in my home because I currently live in an apartment. However, I’m happy to care for your pets in the comfort of their own home, where they can stay relaxed, maintain their routine, and receive plenty of love, attention, and personalized care.
About: I have always loved dogs! I have owned one almost my entire life. I have stayed overnight with friends dogs many times while they're out of town. I am active, so walking and playing will be no problem. My summer is very open, so I hope to be filling my time with your dogs and puppies! I have a few references, that I have house/pet sat for, if you would like to contact them. I love big dogs, medium dogs, small dogs, skinny dogs, fat dogs, all dogs! I had an Airedale Terrier who had ACL repairement surgery twice. This gave me experience with giving medications, rehabilitation & disabled dogs. Kellogg that you see was my foster dog, he’s living his best life with his new dad. If your dog loves to play, my parent’s dog, Arlo, is always down for some laps around the yard…If you're missing your dog, we will have a photo shoot and send you as many pictures as needed! Aside from loving dogs (which you unfortunately can't get a degree in) I have a bachelors degree from CMU & a masters degree from Wayne State University. I am a teacher, so love and patience are my middle names. My almost 8 year old son is also a dog lover and will be helping me give the best care possible. I hope you allow me to have fun with your pup! Message me to check availability! I am on summer break, meaning I have lots of extra time for my own pup as well as helping out with someone else’s pup! Always make sure to follow the plan left for me by the owner. Take extra precautions to make sure the pup is secure inside and outside of the home.
About: I've had dogs my whole life growing up and have had them into my adult life. I dog sit for a friend now on a regular basis. I work part-time doing hair during the week. I now work on the weekends at doubletree, so my availability is limited now. But ask and see if we can work something out! I'd be happy to dog sit if I can! I have a nice sized fenced in yard for your dog to run and play. My dog loves to meet new friends! I can also go to your house and let your dog(s) out and take them for walks if needed! I have a separate room to crate also if need be.
About: I have 10 years of experience. I have taken care of a puppy before. I'm pretty skilled when it comes to keeping dogs occupied and happy. I'm very patient and calm, I have always loved taking care of and watching doggies! I am self-employed so I have plenty of time on my hand. So, I have plenty of time to keep an eye on and play with your doggie. I can easily crate the dog if need. I have tons of doggie beds and food. A ton of treats and toys for the doggies. And every doggie goes home with a new toy.
“Megan was absolutely incredible with Harley! She was prompt, sent photos and updates with each pop in. Her communication is amazing. She also helped me out with a last minute emergency pop in. She is really a great sitter and I'm so glad we chose her!!!”

About: I have personally owned cats, dogs, horses, cows, chickens, guinea pigs, hamsters, and there are very few animals that I’m *not* comfortable with. I have raised bully breeds from bottles, and I have a ton of experience with large dogs as well as small. I’m not allergic to any animals- and I love snuggling and playing. I’m a super calm person and I think animals feed off of our energy. I work full time from home and have quite a bit of flexibility as I can do my job from anywhere with an internet connection. I have a fenced yard- but as I’ll be more likely to watch your animals in your home, I’m flexible. I’m an active person, and a true animal lover. We can customize what your pet needs from me. I’m a special needs mom, and I have a crazy amount of patience.

Holy smokes Nikki is fantastic! She enthusiastically accepted a last min request (like within a couple hours) after we got stuck out of state thx to cancelled flights, and our 2 Bernese Mountain Dogs (100lb +) require a LOT of specific care. Well sis went waaaaaaaaay above and beyond by picking up 20+ piles of poo in our large back yard (my least fave thing to do after a trip..!) without me even hinting, let alone asking her to do it. Plus sent super cute pics! So impressed, you’re great Nikki, thank you!

10/10 would let him come over again! - Cajsa + Freja, very picky Bernese Mountain Dogs 🐾🐾 Logan really came through for us on a last minute trip, a true godsend! Our girls require very specific care, and even a small mishap could have life or death consequences. As such, hiring a new sitter is always nerve wracking but Logan was fantastic! Super chill, flexible, understanding and easy to talk to. And our girls don’t usually favor men, but they accepted him right away. Thanks again, Logan, we’ll def reach out for our next trip!

I hired Samantha to feed and walk my two puppies while I was at work during the weekdays. Puppies received excellent care, she tended to their needs as I care for them. Samantha sent pictures and text updates throughout the process. I am going to recommend her to friends and family.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
