“Carrie was great! Very professional and was able to connect with our cats quickly. We appreciated her flexibility when travel plans had to change last minute.”
“Kyle was amazing! He provided drop ins for my 3 dogs while I was out of town with only a few days notice. He was willing to stop by for a meet and greet a few days before I left so I was able to walk through their routine with him. He also sent several pictures of my dogs during his check ins. Honestly, some of the best pictures I have of them and they always looked so happy in each of them. Will definitely be booking again.”
“Not only were our two older dogs completely comfortable when we returned home, but our puppy grew enormously into a trusting, confident, playful little dog. So grateful for this transition.”

“Layla and Gracie provided a drop-in for my 3 pups. They were very prompt, loving, and provided some great pics. I’m looking forward to their overnight stay here soon, knowing my dogs are in great hands.”

“Glad to have Xe’Nedra as my sitter. My Benji is well taken care of. I feel safe knowing that Xe’Nedra will watch Benji. Thank you for the continued commitment to Benji. Over 6 months of service and looking forward to more.”

About: Hi my name is Arianna. I have experience as a veterinary technician, dog training, grooming experience, and canine behavior experience. I am familiar with a lot if different dog and cat breeds and love all animals! I can also help with socializing, leash manners/dog training, and have experience with administering medication for diabetic dogs as well. I also provide additional services such as anal gland expressions, bathing, nail trimming, ear cleaning, insulin shots, subcutaneous fluid administration, administering medications, and training. I am pretty flexible and have no problem working with dogs that have behavioral issues. I love all animals and can't wait to meet some new fur babies! I currently work remotely so I am available all day or for overnight visits if needed! I also provide walks, training, and basic grooming services. At the moment I do prefer to care for each animal in the clients home since I live in an RV. I also provide lots of pictures and plenty of updates!

“Kylee was amazing with our Great Pyrenees Ghost! We had to be away for a night and she was able to come and let him out for us, play with him and feed him while we were gone. It was so convenient and ghost loves her!”

“+++++ Buttons and Roy were extremely well cared for by Stephanie and her helper. We came home to very happy and content furbabies. Stephanie has prompt and excellent communication skills and we never worried once about what was going on at home. We would highly highly recommend Stephanie's services! Thank you...thank you!”

“Marsha is wonderful! She took on our 5 kitties while we were out of town for a few days and she was very dependable and communicative. We received regular updates and pictures with every visit and the kitties were very well cared for. 🩷 I would definitely recommend Marsha!”

“She is the BEST! We just moved here and needed a new dog walker for our baby girl and she made Gracie feel at home in her new surrounds and allowed me to not worry while I was at work. She is the best and we are using her again already for house sitting and also for more dog walkies!”

About: Growing up in the country, I have grown up with all sorts of animals (dogs, cat, rabbit, cows, longhorns). However, dogs have been the animal with me throughout my entire life. We got our first family dog when I was 6 and have had 3-10 dogs at a time since then! Needless to say, I'm definitely a dog person. I have experience feeding, walking, and washing dogs, and can do some basic self-taught training (sitting, down, shake). I also have house-sat and pet-sit for some family friends' and my friends' parents on several occasions. My house is full of animal love. I have a 3-year-old Plott hound mix (named Nova), a 4-year-old German Shepard (named Goose), and a 8 month old cat (named Ary). They all have their own special quirks, but are so funny and love running and playing! Nova is very food motivated and loves to run in circles and play in water, Goose is very toy motivated and could play frisbee for hours without a break if we let him, and Ary is the definition of a "lap cat" but loves being our pest control when she see an bug. I hope you give me the chance to give your fur babies some extra love and attention! I'm a full-time social worker! I can provide overnight visits whenever, but walking and drop-ins are only available on weekends and then during school scheduled breaks (my availability will reflect it)! In my home, one of my dogs is crated due to her liking to get in the trash. So, I am easily able to crate your dog if necessary and of course feed, water, play, and walk them as needed! Also, more than willing to send you pictures of your dogs throughout the visit if that's something you want :)
“Brianna took great care of our two Goldens for a whole week! It was our first time hiring a pet sitter so we were really nervous to have someone come to our home and care for our babies but after meeting Brianna, we immediately knew we were in good hands. We got daily pictures and updates, she was always on schedule and we didn't have to worry about a thing. It was clear that they were very well loved and cared for while we were away. I am so glad we found Brianna - we will definitely work with her again! Thank you, Brianna!!”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Bastrop
Jessica is truly the best cat sitter we could ask for. She consistently goes above and beyond every single time she cares for our cats. Not only does she make sure they are fed, comfortable, and well taken care of, but she also pays attention to all the little details that give us so much peace of mind while we’re away. She sends thoughtful updates, keeps us in the loop, and treats our home with so much care and respect. She’s even helped with things like bringing in packages and checking on things around the house, which means so much when you’re traveling. Our cats are very different personalities, and she handles both of them so patiently and lovingly—it’s clear she genuinely cares. Knowing they’re in her hands allows us to fully relax when we’re gone. We trust Jessica completely and feel so lucky to have found her. Highly, highly recommend!

A True Lifesaver We are beyond grateful for Sarah. She stepped in with less than 12 hours’ notice during a true family emergency and absolutely saved us. We live out of state, and our senior citizen parents were in a horrible car accident during Thanksgiving. They suddenly couldn’t care for their 25+ pets, cats, turtles, and fish, and we couldn’t get to them right away. Sarah immediately stepped up and took care of every single animal with so much kindness and thoroughness. She made sure everyone was fed, cleaned, and cared for, and she communicated with us the whole time so we had complete peace of mind. She even offered to bring food over for my father-in-law, who is still on bed rest while his wife remains in the hospital. Her compassion truly went above and beyond anything we expected. Sarah is an absolute angel to our family. Her kindness, reliability, and genuine love for animals mean more than we can express. We 100% recommend her and are forever grateful for her help during one of the hardest moments of our lives.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Bastrop. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
