Jeremiah house sat for us for 5 days. Our senior puppy really took to him, enjoying ear and belly rubs. Our kitty, who is fairly new to our family , warmed up to him as well. Would definitely hire him again. Respect young man.

About: I've grown up with large dogs my whole life-7 in total- from puppies to adulthood! I'm often called over by friends and family to take care of their dogs and cats since high school. I didn't grow up with cats but I we recently rescued two and I love them to death. We've trained each of our dogs since they were puppies. I've personally cared for many elderly dogs (my own, as well as petsitting) and have also owned a dog with a neurologic disability who would often fall ill and get fevers, and now I'm well acquainted with spotting the signs. I worked in pet boarding for nearly 2 years and I did everything from bathing, being a daycare technician, and diligently scrubbing kennels. I worked with all kinds of dogs and cats, young and old, friendly and not ao friendly. I also have experience with taking care of Rabbits, Bearded Dragons, and Ball Pythons. I have a very flexible work schedule and I can let dogs out throughout the day at any time. I prefer to house sit if the house is further away to make feeding and letting out easier. I only use a 2 finger "touch" when correcting a dog, and I'm well trained to prevent dog fights (or "arguments") and how to break them up. I worked 1.5 years full-time in dog daycare/boarding, so I'm well acquainted with dog body language and appropriate dog training.

About: I’ve cared for dogs of all sizes and temperaments—no pup too big or small! I’ve also walked cats, administered meds, brushed teeth, and provided loving care for seniors. Whether it’s feeding, playtime, or just keeping your pet company, I’m experienced and happy to help. My fenced yard offers safe outdoor time, and I treat every animal like family. I currently have full availability and offer flexible, reliable care for your pets! I’m available for boarding, drop-ins, walks, daycare, and more—even same-day appointments. I do have little ones at home, so we may step out briefly for park outings, but never for long. Your pet will still get plenty of love, attention, and care while you’re away! Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. My home is dog/cat - friendly, with a securely fenced yard, located on a quiet, low-traffic street. I clean with pet-safe products to ensure a healthy environment. If I’m caring for your pet in your home, I’ll treat your space with the same respect and care as I do my own. You can rest easy knowing your pet is in safe, loving hands.

Bethanie took great care of my 4 year old cavapoo Lucy on a 4 day housesit! She sent updates and pictures each day (including of my girl snuggled up in bed with her), reassuring me that Lucy was doing well. She was flexible with my schedule and asks and my home looked just like it did when I left! Thanks Bethanie 🖤

About: Having grown up with pets, I have a lifelong passion for animal care. From a young age, my siblings and I took on the responsibility of feeding, bathing, walking, playing with, and cleaning up after our pets. This experience taught me the importance of attentive and loving care. Additionally, my neighbors entrusted me with their beloved pets when they’ve gone on vacation. I’ve experience with rabbits, have one currently named Ms Bunny, she is eight. I had a guinea pig, named Master Splinter that lived to be 6. Kept and maintained a fish tank in my mid to late 20’s, contained lots of neon tetra, ghost shrimp, and a dwarf gourami! I have full availability to ensure loving care for your pets! My love for animals motivates me to ensure they receive the attention and care they deserve. Rest assured, your furry friends will be well cared for under my watch. I am happy to care for your pets in their home where they are most comfortable. I love going for walks, playing with toys, and/or lounging around when it’s quiet.

Alicia was absolutely wonderful. My fiance and I were hesitant to try Rover, but are so glad we did. Alicia came for an initial meet and greet with our dog, Apollo. He loved her from the moment he met her. Alicia met with us for quite a while and answered all of our questions and concerns - she made us feel at ease. We were impressed because before she left, she asked, "Are there any other questions or concerns you have? If you have any questions later, please feel free to ask." Alicia stayed at our house for 4.5 days. Throughout our mini vacation she was AMAZING at sending us pictures and updates. Apollo can be a picky eater at times, and she even worked with him on that. She kept us informed on his potty breaks, whether he ate all of his food, what they were up to throughout the day. When we came home the house was just how we left it. Apollo was so happy when we came home (NOT depressed like in the past) - you could tell he had been very well taken care of and active while we were gone. We would love the chance to use Alicia again in the future. Thanks Alicia!

Took care of our two dogs (young hound and elderly rat terrier) for several days while my family and I were out of town. Kept constant updates which is important as our elderly dog does need sone extra care and attention. On top of caring for our dogs Gina took care of our weekly trash/recycling and daily mail. Sydney (her dog) also got along well with our younger dog and kept each other company by playing all day. I would definitely ask her to watch our dogs again.

About: I’ve grown up around dogs and have experience caring for pets for family and friends. I’m very active, responsible, and attentive, so I love taking dogs on walks, playing with them, and making sure they feel cared for. I understand how important routines, safety, and patience are, and I’ll always treat your pets like my own! I recently finished my first year at the University of Michigan and am home for the summer while working part-time. Pet care fits very naturally into my schedule, and I’m looking for an active and rewarding way to spend more of my time. I have a flexible routine and enjoy staying active, so walks, check-ins, playtime, and overnight care work well for me throughout the week. I always make pet safety and comfort my top priority. In a client’s home, I follow all instructions carefully, including feeding schedules, medications, walking routines, and any special needs. I’m very attentive, organized, and respectful of both pets and homes.

FAQs for House Sitting - Baroda

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of August 2026, there are 214 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Baroda. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Baroda walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Baroda maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Baroda choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Baroda. On Rover:

  • 100% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 95% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
