Dog Walkers in Barnett, IL

About: I have grown up in a household with dogs, mainly the medium to large sized breeds. I have experience with all sizes of dogs though, as I have taken care of a variety of sized dogs for friends, family, and neighbors. I have taken care of cats and dogs when needing medical care - especially giving meds and minor wound care - and also have groomed and walked many types and sizes of dogs. I love making sure the pets are healthy and happy. I have volunteered at an animal shelter to help with the care of animals - providing play time, meds, and grooming of both dogs and cats. I'm currently a full time student at SIUE and I'm in the MFA art studio program. For summer 2026 semester my schedule is Mon-Fri for a few hours in July. For fall I have classes Monday through Friday with times needing to be at campus for a few hours at a time. Weekends I'm generally free. Please note these amount of times away for house sittings and let me know if this is of any concern. Drop-ins/walks midday Mon-Thurs tend to be difficult as I have some breaks but can do before/after classes. I'll let you know if there is something happening during your requested time that will have me away from the house for longer than normal. During house sitting, I can provide food, medicine, play time, walks, and many other services. I also am willing to assist with house related things - bringing in mail, taking trash out for trash pickup, etc - just let me know and we can work it out. For walks and drop ins, my availability is generally flexible outside of classes/work and will work with you to determine the best time(s) to be there. I can also provide some house related services (like bring in mail and packages) upon request. Please note I do have in person classes and GA position at SIUE Monday through Friday, so availability is based upon schedule and distance from campus. I am available to help with the pets at the clients home. I can either stay at your place or go home at night, which I can work with you based on your needs and comfort. I have experience with gated and non gated yards (so needing to leash the dog when taking out for the potty), gates for inside the house, and crate training. Often I will have my own leash with me so that if anything happens, I'm prepared. As for walks, I often work with the dog(s) to see what triggers them and avoid as much as possible. I know not all dogs are friendly with other dogs or people so I am aware of my surroundings and provide appropriate distance and avoid people and dogs as best as I can.

Big, small, medium, even tempered, wild, mellow- I absolutely love them all. I have a 12 year old lab, who has slowed down a lot. She is my everything. I find something about raising a dog from a young pup to an aging one, so very special and rewarding. If your dog is fast paced or likes to smell every blade of grass, I’m game. Rain, shine, or snow, I’m available. I’d absolutely appreciate it if you gave me the opportunity to spoil your dog, not just walk or watch. I understand these are your babies. About: I have had several dogs ever since I was young, and I continue to care for my two dogs when I return home from university. I am in charge of feeding them, taking them outside, and bathing them, when necessary. I am tentatively planning to reapply for my summer retail job, so my schedule may vary. My summer break will begin soon, so I will not be working immediately, so I will have plenty of time every day for pet care. My family has a fenced yard with plenty of space for a dog to run around. We also have two Labrador retrievers who love to play with other dogs.

About: Can help take care of big dogs, and can play with dogs all day. Cats I can give them their space or play with them as needed. Rover is a summer side job for me to fund my college and stay active. And I love playing and being with dogs and cats. About: As a lifelong dog owner and current dog mom myself, I love all pups! I'm an early childhood special ed teacher who's looking to love on some fur babies this summer. Whether your dog needs a serious power walk or a chill potty break and snuggles, I've got them covered! I'm comfortable with basic command reinforcement, can stick to mealtime routines or a quick brush-out if needed! I'm happy to treat them as my own! :) I have not had cats before but am happy to feed or give your kitties some love as well! I'm a special education teacher on summer break which means my availability is flexible! I will be off of work beginning May 26th. I do have my own pup at home so I prefer to do check ins and walks as needed! Because I like to stay active with my own family, friends and pup during the break, I do require at least 48 hours of notice for bookings. I am generally available between 8am to 8pm. Since I have my own pup, I'm only doing house calls! Your dog will get my full attention in the comfort of their own neighborhood. I will make sure to check pavements before a walk and make sure collars/harnesses are firmly attached before we head out. You'll get plenty of photo updates!

About: I've cared for a range of animals including cats and dog since I was in middle school. Provided detailed instructions I can snd have cared for disabled pets. I understand a pet is more than animal they're family. Pet care is my only form of employment while going through college. So I am available most often. Expect school hours which I will provide Without extra charge if pet sitting a whole 24 hrs or more I will do general cleaning and upkeep of the house such as dishes, floors, and trash. I always pick up after myself and your pet of course.

About: I have had between 2-4 animals in my house since I was a kid. I have been pet sitting animals from kittens/puppies all the way up to 16 years old for the past 4 years consistently. I am good with helping animals take their meds and will interact with animals at their pace. I am currently working a part time job and starting full online classes so I can get my masters. This means that I will be free most of the time and will be able to make my schedule fit around my clients needs. In my clients home I will make sure to follow instructions given to me, ensuring I am familiar with all details to give the animals the best care. I will take any animals that enjoy walks for those in the area or to a park if they need to get energy out, play with them outside, or play with them inside. I follow a routine for feeding and for any meds they might have to take, while also checking to make sure they have full and clean water daily. If I am cat sitting I will make sure to check and scoop the litter daily as well if needed.

About: I’ve been caring for my family’s dogs since I was young and currently have two small dogs of my own. Over the years, I’ve also looked after pets for friends, family members, and neighbors. About: I’ve been in a house of 3 or more pets my entire life. I’ve cared for puppies as well as senior doggos. I worked at an emergency animal hospital for about 1.5 years, and am currently in school to become a certified veterinary technician, with the goal of eventually attending veterinary school to become a licensed DVM. I am currently in-between jobs, but actively in school through Penn foster so I have a relatively open a flexible schedule with proper notification ahead of time! I currently take lewie on walks fo outdoor enrichment ant local parks or we play fetch in the house! We do monitored potty breaks in the back yard. About: I've taken care of dogs since I was around 12 or 13 years old. I would take care of neighbor's, and family member's animals. Such as walking them, feeding them, giving them the love and care that they receive everyday from their owners. I am in college so my schedule is very consistent! Two days out of the week I have 8:30am classes and then the other 3 days my classes start at noon. I am very flexible however, all of my classes end at or before 5pm. So I am available early morning, late morning, afternoon evening, depending on the day! Just reach out and I’m sure we can make it work!! About: I have had my own pets since I was a young child. I have taken care of many of my friends, family, neighbors, and church members pets over the years. I love dogs and kitties and believe they deserve to be well taken care of. They depend on us to be good to them and are at our mercy. If they are mistreated they can't say anything. This makes it that much more important to be good to our pets. I am not currently working so I have a lot of free time. I have 6 grown children who are on thier own. Two in college, the rest with their own families. I have one friendly lab mix who loves playmates. A fenced in yard, doggie door, and all hardwood floors so accidents are not tragic! I am within walking distance of our city bike/walking trail for long doggie walks.
