“Alex took great care of Zoey and was very flexible with last minute plans on coordinating a meet up first and extending Zoey’s stay a few extra days. He was also very receptive to adapting his home and routine to accommodate Zoey’s needs. We’ll definitely have Zoey stay with Alex again in the future.”

“Alex and Jeff and their daughters were exceptional sitters for our pup, Gemma! We were happy knowing Gemma was getting full attention and play time over the holiday weekend. Alex and Jeff were attentive to Gemma’s schedule and habits and communicated well over the weekend. Our dog came home a very tired and happy dog! We’d be thrilled to bring Gemma back again for another stay in the future.”

“This was a great experience. Thank you Emily for being so flexible with a last minute booking! Emily took our high-energy dog on a walk the same night after we dropped her off and the next morning so she would feel more comfortable. Nyla came back seeming like she did well. Thanks a lot!”

“Della is an amazing dog sitter! She sent tons of photos of our dog outside getting exercise, playing with other dogs, and getting lots of love indoors. I would absolutely trust Della with our dog again.”

“Charissa was a wonderful home-away-from-home for Harper. She sent me updates and pictures throughout each day which was so appreciated, I had total peace of mind and knew that Harper was getting excellent care. Thank you Charissa!”

“Mitzi and Klifton are the best! It’s so nice to be able to travel and know our dog is so cared for. Their place is like Winter Camp with tons of play and walks and all the pictures were so fun to see.”

“My dog spent a wonderful weekend with Christine and her calm and sweet-natured pup. Christine did a wonderful job getting her exercised and reported with regular updates on how she was doing with pics included. When I picked my dog up on Sunday, she was happy, well fed and ready to come home. I'd recommend Christine to anyone for a caring and communicative dogsitter.”

“Wenqi (and Robert and the fur family) were just as I hoped and more. They know and clearly love dogs. Lots of hikes, welcomed my Shiba Inu onto their bed for cuddles, and my dog and their dog and cat played well together after an initial getting to know. Definitely plan to ask for their excellent help again. Happy dog:)”

“Maisie seemed to have a wonderful time with Tony, Nicole, and Louie. This was her first time being boarded, and we were nervous! But, we think she did really, and we were very happy to receive daily pictures, a couple videos, and updates as to how she was doing along the way. Maisie seemed very well cared for, with daily walks and lots of play with Louie as well. It made our few days away much more enjoyable to know our pup was in great hands.”

“Maria is such a joy to work with and an incredible dog sitter! She’s incredibly communicative and sent lots of photos. We had 100% confidence that our pup was in the best possible care!”

“Madeline is wonderful!! She takes the care of your dog very seriously - she really took the time to learn about our dog, and was so thoughtful about his individual needs and temperament. Can’t recommend her enough, we were so sure he was safe and cared for with Madeline!”

“Our dog was well cared for with Elizabeth! She provided updates while we vacationed and responded quickly if we had any questions. A great first experience for us with Rover. Highly recommend Elizabeth for dog boarding in the Denver area.”

About: I cared for a senior dog for two years with cancer, administering daily medication and making her comfortable. Currently, I have my own 1 year old German shepherd, working on training and getting lots of exercise. Lastly, I grew up with cats, so comfortable with both animals. I work from home, so I have a flexible schedule, changing from week to week. Usually very open in afternoons. Free on Saturdays and Sundays. I treat every pet like they are my own! I want the best for my animals and want the same for all. They will be in great hands with me.

“Wonderful stay! Susan was communicative and easy to work out details with, and was so loving and kind to my pooches - I would definitely leave my furbabies with her again!”

“Jessica and Teryn have watched Oakley many times and he always has the best stays. They always send photos and updates and make sure he gets lots of walks and play time!”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Bark Ranch home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Bark Ranch.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Bark Ranch sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CO ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
