“Angela was excellent with my dog, Vaida! Vaida struggles adjusting to new surroundings, but Angela was a pro with her. Angela provided consistent communication & I was able to stay updated throughout the week. It was great to know Vaida was in good hands.”

“Laura has a lovely home, dog heaven. We could tell right away that dogs were the Priority. Cooper just loved their fenced in yard because after we picked him up, he slept for hours exactly what a mini golden doodle puppy needs for all that energy. We highly recommend Laura for pet sitting!”

“He took care of our 4 legs kids for first time. Taking care of old dog and young dog are not easy , especially at first time till they get used to with new environment and new friends. I think he did a good job. He send me one picture and gave me status of feeding. If we need to give him least opinion, that will be yard need to be picks up little.”
“This was my first time using Rover, so I was a little nervous but my overall experience was positive with AJ. We have a 1 year old mixed breed dog that is very playful and happy around pretty much everyone. We met in a park near AJ’s home and he was promptly on time and communicated well. I asked several questions about the plan for the day and everything seemed reasonable to me. For me personally I just wanted someone that would keep my dog active and happy for the afternoon, also sneak in the occasional nap is okay too. When the day was over we met in the park again and (on time) and my dog was happy to see me. Thumbs up!”

“This was our first time using Rover and we had a great experience working with Laura. She was quick to respond and it was easy coordinating our visits with her. The updates she provided gave us peace of mind that our dog Jordy was in good hands for the day. We would definitely work with her again in the future! Jordy seemed happy to spend the day with her in her home.”

About: Current doggy daycare employee. I have owned animals all my life. Dogs have always been a passion of mine. I have recently been accepted to a dog trainer school to become a professional dog trainer. I am hoping to get to have as much experience with as many dogs as possible, to make me the best trainer possible. I am available anytime. I work part time from home so my schedule is pretty flexible. If you have any questions on my availability please ask. Thank you! I will care for your pets as if they were my own. I will follow all of the rules and guidelines you set for your animals feeding time and playtime. Plus I will make the experience for the animal as best as it can possibly be.
About: Since I was a young girl I've cared for cats and dogs in various settings. I've volunteered at humane societies, I've worked as a Vet Tech, was a supervisor at a daycare/boarding facility. I can administer insulin and other medications. Minor training experience in a professional setting. Can handle puppies to seniors. I will have plenty of time to devote to your pets, who really are our children. I am home a majority of the time with my own pets. I do not have a fenced in yard, I use a leash and walk my dog at least once a day, weather permitting. Potty breaks 2-4 hrs for my dog. I can travel as I have a 4wd vehicle. I will play and treat your pets as my own!
About: I have always had pets in my home my whole life both dogs and cats I am more of a dog person but I absolutely love caring for all animals and I know how difficult it can be depending on the animal my parents most recent dog was a handful he was in and out of several homes before finding his way to ours because of he’s very energetic and sometimes violent behavior but we turned him to a sweetie with time and good training. At first he was rather aggressive towards me and was very difficult to train because of how long he had gone without training which taught me a lot of tricks to deal with a difficult and aggressive dog. I love this job and I hope your pet will enjoy my company as much as I’ll enjoy theirs. I have bathed dogs helped bathe a cat with flees and I’m down to learn anything if you’ll help show me. I do this full time so I am usually always free to offer the most reliable and consistent pet care experience for your pet and I’m always available unless I’m watching other pets. I’d love to do repeat visits to build a better relationship with you and your pet. I do the absolute best of my ability to ensure that your dog feels safe and happy when with me and I hope after meeting me you’re pet is excited to see me again.
About: At one time, we were breeders of Champion Golden Retrievers, and have raised many a pup, from small to large breeds. From Bernese to Yorkies, we love them all! Our furbabies are a Shorkie and Shih Tzu who are well behaved and make great hosts and playmates! Large pastures and trails on which to walk, so lots of exercise. Our canine guests will receive lots of love and attention! They will be welcome in our house if well-behaved, and treated like one of the family during their stay. We have excellent references from previous guests and do our best to make sure our every guest feels right at home. We follow all care guides given by our guests owners, including giving meds and treats as owner provides us. I or my husband are home with our guest dogs during stays. Our guests get lots of attention and care. We want to care for them as they are used to being cared for at home. We have a fenced yard. We back up to mikes of hiking trails for walks and runs always on leash. We walk 3-4 times a day or as often as match the home life of our guests. They are cared for in our home and integrated into being cared for as part of our family with 2 little welcoming fur babies.

About: I've taken care of animals my whole life. Growing up my family had a small hobby farm where we cared for many animals. Since moving out I have owned and helped train multiple working dogs, including the pointer I have now. I have no problem administering medications if needed. I already walk my multiple times a day so your dog will get plenty of exercise. My girlfriend works from home and I have a flexible work schedule so we are available any time you may need. Your dog will always have someone around if they like constant attention! I live in a house with a large, mostly fenced in backyard. My dog has never met someone he doesn't love, and will run/play until he can't stand anymore! Plenty of room for exercise and play!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 36 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Bangor. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Bangor commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
