About: I was a teacher for 15 years and if I can take care of a class full of 25 ten-year olds, I can definitely take care of pets! I have been a pet owner all my life, and I am in tuned with what animals need. I have experience with reptiles, dogs, and cats. I enjoy being outdoors and playing with animals. Being on the other side, as a client, I know how important it was for me to get photos and updates of my dogs so I am happy to provide daily updates and pictures to keep your mind at ease while away from your loved one! I am currently a full time stained glass artist working from home, so I have all the time in the world to take pets for walks and attend to their needs and activity levels. They will be with me all day! My home is on tidelands, so if your dog likes to swim we can arrange some fetch in the water. Otherwise, we will go for walks/runs on the trail, depending on your pet's energy needs. I am good about staying on the feeding/potty schedule you provide for consistency.
About: I grew up on a farm with lots of different animals, I also have house sat for friends and neighbors over the years. Love dogs and Cats! I work full time so I'm only available after 5:15 p.m. during the week and weekends. I don't do a lot out side of work. I would do day care and house sitting at the clients home. I can pass a background check and have house sat for friends and neighbors over the years.
About: I've been carrying for animals since I was a small child, I've volunteered to do animal rescue, and vet assistant. Let me show your pets some love. My days allow me to help others care for there animals, while at work, out of town or on Vacation. So let me help you. My pets are the boss of our home, i walk them at least one of them daily. The little ones are picky, we will go to the park or swimming, take rides and just enjoy living. We are only on this earth till we are gone. Live life to the fullest.
“Branden did a fantastic job. Lots of photos, so i knew my pets were happy and relaxed while we were away. Everything perfectly taken care of - pets and house. Fabulous work - highly recommended by us humans and our pets!”

“This was my first time using Rover and I will definitely rebook. I needed someone last minute to do drop by visits, Emily responded quickly, within a few hours we had a visit and I booked right after. Walker was well taken care of and she even kept and eye out on my horses as well. Couldn't have asked for a better experience!”

“TYSM Ashley! She is seriously so fantastic. I loved getting detailed updates and photos of my cats. It was my first time traveling abroad, and of course, I wanted to make sure my fur babies were safe. I am so incredibly thankful that Ashley was so responsive and understanding. Little things like photos of the pets really went a long way in easing my anxieties. I cant send enough thanks and appreciation for how great she is!”

“This was my first time using Rover but Vanessa and Eulalia made it easy. Even though neither of my shy cats showed themselves, they seemed noticeably less anxious when I got home compared to other times I've traveled and had a friend watch them. I will be a repeat customer!”

“Brian did a great job checking in on our dogs! We were gone on a day trip and just need someone to stop bye and let the dogs out. He handled them very well, took pictures and let us know everything was okay. We will definitely we reaching out in the future 💗”

About: I have taken care of Cats for years. I had a Diabetic cat, I gave him insulin twice a day. I can give any medication, brush, play, and care for any cat. I also am very good with dogs. I am soft spoken and gentle, animals usually always connect and bond with me. I am pretty flexible, if there is communication I can be ready when needed. Honestly, animals are a priority. They're family and I want to be that reliable person for you and your fur baby. I could offer care in my home but I have 4 cats of my own, and a dog. I think in the clients home would be best for the comfort of the animal. I am probably the best person you could have in your home. I am extremely trustworthy and am there just to give quality care to your animal! I own a siding business with my family and do pet care whenever I'm needed. My schedule is usually very flexible as long as I get it on the calendar! I will do what the client is comfortable with. If you want your animals crated at certain times. I can do that. If you want them running free and getting cuddles, I can do that! I know how hard it is to trust someone in your home and with your animals. I am a very trustworthy person and can always send pictures and keep you updated and comfortable! I have even video chatted so a child would see her animals she was missing while on vacation!
About: I am a friend to all dogs I come across. They are my favorite kind of creatures. Though I really love cats too and all animals for that matter! I have good boundaries and will be firm but also very loving, and am good at dealing with any kind of neuroses that pets can have! I lost my dog to cancer a few years ago, and then my sweet kitty a bit after that. I'm not ready to have my own animal friends again yet, but love caring for other peoples creatures as much as I can! I love going for long walks or runs if your pup has a lot of energy, so I am happy to just come over for walks with your dogs, or have them over to my house if you are heading out of town. I can do house sitting and animal care at your house as well. This includes plant watering and keeping your house tidy. I’ve done dog sitting for many families over the past 7 years living in Olympia, (and some years in Seattle before that) though now I've moved just outside of Shelton. I have great references that I would love to share with you if you’d like. Thanks for reading! Please contact me with any questions. While caring for your pup, i’ll have minimal other obligations, such as maybe another dog walk to do, or some work on my etsy store. I have a yard, but no fence yet. So I always supervise dogs while they are out in the yard, on leash if needed. I live in a rural area with lots of good places to walk as well as a lake for the dogs to explore a couple blocks away.
“Ashley did great with our two high energy dogs (labradoodle & black lab)! Really appreciated her detailed report on the drop-in and how they did during her visit. Will hire again for drop-in visits and dog care when needed!”

“Tammie is awesome! I hired her to do drop-in visits for my cat Lindy while I was out of town. She was really communicative with me throughout my whole trip, even sending me daily photos and videos so I could see first hand how Lindy was doing. I felt like Lindy was being well taken care of each visit which I so appreciate.”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Ballow. On Rover:
- 95% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
