We couldn’t be more thrilled with the care Chelsea provided for Bubu and Lola during their days at her place! Both of our Huskies can be a bit particular, but she handled them with such patience and love. From the moment we dropped them off, it was clear that Bubu and Lola felt right at home.

Chelsea kept us updated throughout the day with pictures and messages, which made our workday so much easier knowing they were having a great time. It was such a relief to see them so relaxed and happy!
We highly recommend Chelsea to anyone looking for a trustworthy and loving caregiver for their pets. Bubu and Lola can’t wait for their next visit! 😊🐶

I wanted to write another review because Melani continues to go above and beyond in every possible way. After many more stays, I can honestly say she is one of those rare people you feel incredibly lucky to find. My dog does not just enjoy being with her, he genuinely lights up when he sees her, which says everything. Melani is not only dependable and communicative, but she is also so thoughtful and intuitive when it comes to my dog’s needs. She pays attention to the little things, keeps me consistently updated, and always makes sure he feels loved, safe, and comfortable. It gives me total peace of mind knowing he is in such capable and caring hands. She has become such an important part of our routine, and I truly cannot imagine trusting anyone else the way I trust her. If you are considering Melani, do not hesitate, she is everything you could hope for and more. The full package!

Once again, Shell took great care of our little pooch. She matches dogs as playmates and keeps close tabs on how they are getting along. Our dog had a lot of fun and burned a lot of energy. She is now happily taking a late afternoon nap. Thanks again Shell.

About: I have always loved dogs and they seem to love me too. I create a calm environment while also making sure they get the physical and mental stimulation that they need. I work from home and have a very flexible schedule. I take regular walks with them throughout the day and very much enjoy the company. I have a fully fenced back yard and a safe, quiet neighborhood. There are two cats that keep to themselves (will stay separated from your furry friend) and two older children who love animals.

My dog is big and high energy, and he gets extra excited with new people and places to play. He’s basically a giant toddler with a big heart, but not everyone can handle him. Mark was AMAZING, got him tons of exercise and made him feel comfortable and happy. He was easy to connect with and so thoughtful about what my pet needed. I’m so glad we found him and will for sure book with him again!

I can tell that my dog enjoyed his day with Tanaisa and her dog Loki. He walked right into the gate when I dropped him off for his second day. He got plenty of walks and socialization. I will definitely book with her again, even though it’s a total of 40 minutes detour for me, it’s worth it because Tanaisa took great care of Dante.

About: I grew up with a love of animals. We had 7 dogs, 4 cats and many small caged animals as well. Starting at about 10 years old I was responsible for feeding and cleaning up after our pets. My kids have been around animals their whole lives as well and have a special love for dogs. We have a medium sized labradoodle named Honey. She is spayed and loves playing with other dogs. I dog sit for my friends and family pups. Now I'd like to help more people have a place they feel safe and comfortable leaving their pets. I am home all day aside from dropping off and picking up my kids from school. So I have plenty of time to tend to your fur-babies! I have a fenced yard and a playful gentle dog to keep yours entertained. I always keep mine on a leash when going on walks and will do the same for yours. I can accommodate any special requests and routines you may have. I understand that your dog is a part of your family. So I will do everything I can for you to feel comfortable leaving them in our care.

This is my first time leaving my pug boy Louie with a sitter. I was nervous at first about leaving him but Jamie and her mom made me feel comfortable about leaving him there. They allowed me to have a meet and greet first, and Jamie answered all questions i had. She reassured me he was in good hands and i know he was. Jamie has very good communication, and made me feel even better by sending lots of pics and videos of Louie while he was there. I will definitely be booking jamie again for my boy.

Tina was fantastic with my 6 month old puppy, Luna. My dog is very shy and timid when meeting new people and in new environments. Tina was very understanding and knowledgeable on Luna’s temperament. About: I’ve been taking care of dogs since elementary school. Training horses and dogs has been my passion. Understanding dogs instincts and pack language helps me better serve their unique needs and personalities. My 35 years of animal care encompasses dog sitting, training, flying cross country on cabin with pup, breeding, and rearing physically and emotionally solid pups. I’ve ventured with my 4-legged buddies on hikes, walks, beach trips, long car drives, hotel stays, retirement homes, schools, river floats, horse rides, ranch work, and river walks. Living in the beautiful PNW there’s always fun to have with our pooches! I’m a work at home mom with four children and a beautiful tribe of animal, loving people. Kids and animals have routines to thrive. There’s always someone home to be with the dogs so no fur babe left behind on our watch. We go places the dogs can ride with us. Exploring the logging roads and nature walks are everyone’s favorite. Fenced yard and doggo doors allow for in and out as they please while at home. Routine starts with breakfast. Then it’s playtime with the kids while farm chores take place. If your dog eats 3x a day we’ll do lunch, more playtime, rest time since this is equally as important. Mental stimulation to stay sharp means using snuffle rugs, treat dispensers, hand feeding meals while reinforcing manners and obedience. My kids have a schedule and boundaries as do the animals giving everyone peace of mind.

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of September 2026, there are 1,240 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Bacona. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Bacona commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:

  • For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
  • For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
  • For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in OR ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 1,240 sitters in Bacona, 88% respond to messages in under an hour.

You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
