About: I was born into a family of German Shepherd lovers, and grew up primarily taking care of our German Shepherds until about 10 years old when we also adopted cats and labradors. Once I graduated college, I adopted an 8 week old Alaskan malamute, who I cared for his entire 11 years of life until he passed just recently in January. I am not ready to adopt again, but am missing the presence of dogs in my life and looking to fill that space by helping friends, family, neighbors and members of the community with their dog care needs. I am experienced with puppies, high maintenance animals, and especially with large breeds (my boy was 150lbs at a healthy weight and required at least 5 miles of exercise a day). I am kind, caring, uniquely experienced, energetic and reliable. Due to my experience, I know all too well what it feels like to have to find reliable, safe, trusted care for a large, high maintenance, and/or misunderstood breed - I know that I can definitely offer that unique service in this arena. I currently am taking a break from my career as an executive assistant. I am extremely active during the week, and have plenty of free time in general. About: I’ve worked with dogs since I was a child. I’ve been exposed to large dog breeds (ex. Rottweilers & German Shepherds) as well as small dog breeds (ex. corgis & dachshund's). I am a certified dog trainer, with 9 years experience and can work in some Basic Obedience work with your dog during their stay or we can talk about some behavior modification and steps to move forward for private lessons. I currently work part time and have plenty of time and energy to work with and take care of your pup. I work with my own dogs twice a day but those sessions are very flexible. “Jeff was great! He picked up and dropped off Akiko. She seemed to have a really good time while being dog sat by Jeff. He also sent pictures and updates during the time she was with him. He really made it easy and stress free for me to travel over the holidays.”
“Moira was awesome! She took such great care of Rufus, sent a lot of pictures every day and filled me in on how he was while I was away! She went above and beyond with the meet and greet, having Rufus explore the place before going there to stay. She took him on walks and made sure to have water available and a foldable bowl for any moment he needed to drink. She was thoughtful throughout every part! I highly recommend her and couldn’t be happier with my Rover experience. :)”
“Lea and her family were amazing with our two tiny, high-energy and anxious dogs! She was very flexible with us with and kind to the dogs (who were NOT on their best behavior and had some unusual accidents in her home). She provided the pups with a loving and happy home for a few days, which made it much easier for us to move houses without having to worry about them for a few days. Would definitely book again with Lea. She is easy to work with and a very nice person.”
