About: I have owned dogs (and periodically cats) my entire life. Family, friends, and neighbors regularly turn to me when in need of pet care. I recently moved to Ohio from Dallas where I was known by work colleagues and friends as the “street dog whisperer.” Every day after work I would spend hours finding and rescuing street dogs by myself. I have fostered many dogs over the years in Dallas and volunteered at our overcrowded animal shelter on the weekends. I’m comfortable with dogs of all ages and sizes, and have experience caring for dogs with injuries (e.g., broken bones) and respiratory infections commonly contracted in shelters. In terms of my profession, I am a clinical psychologist. Since moving here from Dallas I am searching for full time employment, so I currently have flexible availability to provide care to your pets as they deserve! I have 10+ years of experience with a variety of different species ( dogs, cats, rabbits, turtles, ferrets, bearded dragons, tortoises, snakes, cows, horses, goats, sheep, pigs, and chickens). With that said, I have experience providing ear, eye, skin, oral, and SQ medications, assisting in post operative care/critical care, providing medicated baths/non-medicated baths, helping our older friends walk and go to the bathroom, taking dogs on walks and to the dog park, and aiding in training routines/commands. Additionally my goal, is for you to feel comfortable in knowing your pet/home is well taken care of. I love to send text/picture updates, and I do not mind watering plants and bringing in the mail. I currently work one-two days a week on the weekends (I make my own schedule so if you book ahead we shouldn’t interfere) and I am in class 8-5pm M-F for class. I have time to take pets on walks before class/work, during my lunch break at noon-1pm, and after work or class. I work as a overnight pet sitter periodically where I stay over ones house and follow a list of instructions provided by thee owner, having time to take out the pet in the morning, again ( if a dog(s)) around 12-1pm. As class begins again at 1:10pm. I additionally can take pets on walks after school, as instructed or requested by the owner. If it is a cat(s), I get everything set before I leave the home and make it back at night. I can also stop by homes and administer medications and provide walks as needed to animals for day of visits. Ensuring I send you picture updates and texts throughout the day!
