Tim and Kathy are incredible people! They took such good care of our Caesar when we went away for the night. They sent pictures and sweet notes and we knew he was in the best of hands. If I could give 10 stars I would.

Caterina did a great job caring for my two boys. She’s got space for walks and room inside for resting. I think the dogs enjoyed their visit.

Our dog Kristoff always has a wonderful time. This was his first overnight and we picked him up happy and well. It’s great to know we have somewhere safe and fun for him to go when we travel.

It appears Nicholas enjoyed his time with Mary too much! He has been moping around the house getting used to a home without more people and pets. It was great receiving daily pictures and the care couldn’t have been more loving. I will definitely try to book with Mary whenever I travel in the future.

Arya was excellent with Cali. He obviously knows and loves dogs. She was well-cared for and we received regular videos of their fun. As an added bonus, he worked with her on her leash behavior. Will definitely rebook again. Highly recommend

My Bella and I absolutely love Kimberly. It is so comforting that when we get to Kimberly's, Bella runs over and goes right into her home. Kimberly sends me pictures and compliments about my Bella....it makes my heart smile. THANK YOU to Kimberly for making me feel like my Bella's at her home away from home.

We cannot say enough wonderful things about Kyle and Max! They took amazing care of our golden retriever, Harry, for five days and treated him like he was part of their family. From the moment we dropped him off, we knew he was in great hands. Kyle and Max kept Harry entertained, active, and happy with plenty of adventures, playtime, and attention. The photos and updates they sent gave us so much peace of mind and made it clear just how much love and care they were giving him. Harry came home happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for. It was obvious that they took the time to get to know his personality and made sure he felt comfortable and loved while we were away. If you're looking for someone who will treat your dog like their own, we highly recommend Kyle and Max. We are incredibly grateful for everything they did for Harry and would not hesitate to book with them again! Thank you both for giving Harry such a fun-filled and loving home away from home! He misses you already.🐾❤️

Dixie clearly loves taking care of dogs, and was a great host to Sunny for an overnight. Her place is large, and though it's unfenced, she keeps an eagle eye on her guests while allowing them to patrol, with the aid of a 50 ft leash. If we come back this way again, I'll be happy to sign Sunny up with Dixie again.

About: I’ve loved and cared for dogs my whole life—from my childhood golden retriever, to my first mini poodle in college, and now my French bulldog puppy. Having a Frenchie has taught me how to care for dogs with sensitive stomachs, skin allergies, and special needs. I cook fresh, balanced meals with real protein and veggies for every meal, and I treat every pup like my own—gentle, patient, and a little spoiled. Whether it’s walks, cuddles, or home-cooked meals, I make sure each dog feels safe, loved, and completely at home. I’m an MBA student at Cornell and have classes about three times a week from Monday to Thursday from 9am to 1pm. My boyfriend is home during the day until I return in the afternoon, so there’s always someone available to care for and walk the pups. We’re both huge dog lovers and spend most weekends at home since I usually have assignments to work on — which means plenty of time for cuddles, walks, and playtime with your furry family member. Your pup’s comfort and safety are my top priorities. I have a French bulldog with sensitive skin and allergies, so I’m extremely careful about hygiene, food, and playtime routines. I also have a bit of OCD when it comes to cleaning — my home is spotless, sanitized daily, and always pet-safe. Every pup has their own cozy, comfortable space to relax, and I can easily follow any feeding or medication instructions. Whether your dog needs fresh meals, extra attention, or a calm environment, they’ll be cared for with the same love and detail I give my own.

As always, our boys Richard and Philip had an incredible time staying with Robert and Eileen! They got lots of exercise in the big fenced yard, despite the tundra-like conditions, and we got detailed updates every day with cute photos and videos. Richard even learned to fetch! Robert and Eileen are gems, and I would leave them a 10 star review if I had the option!

Aaron & Kaylee (Malcom & Mutts) are simply amazing at what they do. We have been boarding and doing training and doggy daycare with our Frenchie since he was a puppy, and also have them work with our aging greyhound. They are knowledgeable, kind, and simply excellent with dogs. We love knowing we can leave our fur babies with them and that they are always in good hands. You can't go wrong with this team!

About: Like many others, I am a dog lover and was raised taking care of family dogs. Unlike others, that passion led to training and classes, competing in dog sports, and now, competing in dog shows. I have experience with many breeds of all sizes, senior pet care, reactive dog care and training. I would love to help you with your pet care needs! I work from home, so my schedule is very flexible and I can accommodate most dogs’ needs. I currently have open availability for boarding, daycare, walks, and drop in visits. Dogs are treated like one of my own! I take your dog out for leashed potty breaks several times a day, according to their needs. While I am working, your dog can settle on the couch or one of the many dog beds, or relax and play with my dogs (a Golden Retriever and a Foxhound). If your dog likes the crate, I have an extra for them. When I run errands, your dog will be crated or gated in a separate room from my dogs for safety. I live on 4 acres next and next to a cemetery, so I can take your dog for relaxing walks in a peaceful environment.

About: Hi Neighbors, I am a Natural World Enthusiast looking to provide support to pets and their owners in the community. My heart is geared towards animals. I have decades worth of experience caring for dogs, cats and other small pets, from my own to friends and clients in the professional setting. My goal is to provide a sense of physical, mental, and emotional well being for your pet. I am here to help fill in the gaps in your busy schedules and be there. So whether your pal needs a hike, walk around the neighborhood, a feeding, medication dose (dogs and cats) or just a visit, I have your back. We all need movement, attention and praise, pets included. I use positive reinforcement as training method, for all pets at every stage. So whether you have a puppy with some aggression issues, a husky that needs a run, a diabetic cat, fish to be fed and admired, or an stinky old man dog that just needs to be sung to and told he's a good boy I am here to serve. I have two cats personally, they run the household and tell me what to do. They eat twice a day, get their boxes cleaned daily, and petted and played when they decide. Monday- Thursday I am available for pet visits from 10:30-2:30 and again from 5-9 pm Fridays - I am available from 10:30-1:00 for visits Weekends-vary During daycare hours I will always be in the home with your pet unless we are going on an outing together. Play, snacks, walks, songs, and naps will be provided daily. I do have two cats, who will probably stay out of the way, but cat friendly creatures are always preferred.

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of September 2026, there are 131 sitters on Rover offering Dog Boarding across Aurora. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Every sitter on Rover has their own rhythm and routine, but most will follow the flow that keeps your dog happiest. Sitters can give meals on your dog's regular schedule, provide a comfortable place for sleep, and plenty of one-on-one attention.

85% of Aurora sitters also include daily walks in the neighborhood during dog boarding stays. You can also request photo and message updates throughout the stay so you can see which Aurora landmarks or neighborhoods your dog is enjoying.

If your dog is a little shy, consider booking a one-night trial stay! This practice run can boost your and your dog’s confidence before your trip.

Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Aurora home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:

  • Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
  • Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
  • Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Aurora.

Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.

You and your Aurora sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in NY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
