About: Though I am not well versed in special needs dogs, ones with anxiety I know far to well as my Bella suffers daily. Constant love and affection would be given to ensure your fur babies feel right at home as if you’ve never left. Hello I’m Melissa a newly FT stay at home mom of 2. I homeschool during the morning and have fun by mid afternoon so adding some visitors to my day would be my pleasure! Both my Bombay cat and Deer Chihuahua were rescued. I work with many rescues in the surrounding areas to make sure all strays brought home find their forever homes. I do live in a rental so I do request that they are potty trained! Both my cat and dog are fully house broke and getting up in the night for those midnight tinkle breaks are possible since my dog is a senior and needs to go too. I hope that gives you a little insight to my life and allows you to be comfortable in choosing me as your fur babies mini vaca destination. I have a fully fenced decent size back yard with cameras for lots of room to run and get their wiggles out or just explore and sunbathe. I have a large crate if they prefer some quiet time alone just request you bring their favorite bed or blanket so they have a piece of home to comfort them.
“Rosaura took great care of all my dogs! She sent photos every drop in and was very detailed on the communication. I recommend her!!! Be sure your dogs will be in good hands!!!!”

About: Hello! My name is Juliana and I love caring for animals! I have been caring for animals since I was 13 years old and I consider myself to be experienced and comfortable with animals. I have had pets all my life, I have been pet sitting for friends and relatives for at least 15 years, and I have volunteered at animal shelters and a pet grooming shop. When it comes to handling dogs, I am comfortable with all dog breeds. When on walks, I will provide my own doggy waste bags and my own delicious treats. When caring for your baby, I promise to treat them with kindness, patience, and some good old fashioned TLC. A happy dog is always a good dog :) I am currently working a part time job so I have plenty of time to watch after your furry friend. I am available after 12:30 on weekdays and all day weekends. Given my open schedule I can work around your pets’ needs and provide nourishing and stimulating care. If your wish is to keep your furry friend home or keep them as safe as possible I will honor that wish as well as crate training at your request. I will not let you pet leave my sight for more than 5 minutes and will be present at all times even in the backyard
“Maya is a wonderful pet car provider. She was very attentive to our 2 cats. Returning home was a pleasure. It was like we never left. Will be calling on her again for sure!”

About: I’ve taken care of three dogs at one house and house sat. I’ve taken care of three other different breeds of dogs at one house and house sat. I’ve then let two different families bring their dogs here at different times and sat them for a month in the summer. Iva also went to a house and dog sat an old dog and a baby cat. For the summer, I’m free all the time! During the school year, I go to community college so after 1pm, I am almost always free, I can also wake up early to check in. I have a fenced house, with a large amount of land. As for your house, I will make sure your animals are always cared for and feel safe at home.
“Tyler did a great job with my cat Ginny. She is an elderly cat, but loves to snuggle and be petted. She was quite happy when I returned after 10 days. I also appreciated the pictures from each visit—thank you Tyler!”
“Celestine did a great job taking care of my cat! She went above and beyond. I was very pleased to see how well things went with the Rover check ins/cards and with returning to find that my cat was perfectly okay. Lastly, I just wanted to say she was very friendly to work with, followed the instructions well, and knows how to take care of cats very well. I would highly recommend her services.”

“Haley did an excellent job. She was professional, friendly and had excellent communication. I love that she took and shared pictures with us. It put us an ease to see that our boys were well taken care of. Will definitely recommend and use her again.”

“Daniella did a great job watching our Goldendoodle while we were on vacation. After reading her reviews, I decided Daniella was a great fit for my anxious dog. Our first time booking with rover and overall it was an easy and stress free experience with Daniella.. “Andrea did a great job pet sitting for our cat Mickey! We were out of the country for several days for a family wedding. She sent me daily messages letting me know he was fed and all was well. When we got home, the kitchen counter where his food was prepared was clean and neat and so was Mickey's eating area in the garage. It gave us peace of mind knowing he was well cared for while we were gone. We wouldn't hesitate at all to utilize Andrea's pet sitting services again. She was terrific!!😊”

About: Having dogs from a young age has led me to the passion I have for dogs now. Since the young age of four years old, I have cared for dogs of many breeds, sizes and backgrounds such as rescues. Something that sets me apart is that I have cared for dogs with disabilities such as epilepsy and senior dogs who need more help. I have also cared for pregnant, nursing dogs and their puppies. I can shower dogs and puppies as well. Having spent most of my life outdoors and with dogs, I love providing the same peace of mind to my clients by providing their daily companion some exercise. I will make sure to take your pooch on the adventure of their lifetime. Currently free for the next month and ready to add more fun to my summer break! If I am not out hiking, I'd love to be caring for your pet.🐶😻 Taking care of your pet is my number one priority. I will make sure to always keep a safe environment around your pet by avoiding/removing potential hazardous items and routes.
About: I’ve always had dogs since I was little and when I got older, I really want what’s best them. I will treat your furry friend like my own. Making sure your pet gets their exercise. Love animals! I love walking around the neighborhood and thought it would be nice to walk dogs when their owners can’t and I can get to know people around the neighborhood and met their furry friends. I’m always making sure my dogs are looking happy and healthy, invested in a fur cutter for the heat and started changing their diets after seeing lots of videos on it and I really wanted them to be more energized.
“Sydney was prompt and kind. My puppy had an accident and went the extra mile of cleaning up after her. My girls can be a bit stubborn but she handled them with care and kindness. I’ve never used a pet sitter before for my dogs and this was a very positive experience with Sydney. If she is willing to watch my dogs again in the future I know my girls will learn to bond with Sydney!”

“Yesi was absolutely amazing! I felt that my pup was in such good hands. She treated her as if she were her own fur baby, sent pictures everyday for updates and made sure that she had lots of exercise and love while I was away for the weekend. Definitely booking her again for the next few weeks! 10/10 would recommend”

“I had a wonderful experience with Weilin! I needed a pet sitter for a recent out of town trip and it was my first time using Rover, and I couldn't be more pleased with the service. Weilin was nice enough to come for a meet & greet, and even when my cat was temperamental and hissed, she was so patient and kind with her, so I knew she was the perfect choice. Weilin gave great updates and photos, and she was fast & responsive when I messaged her with questions. I am so relieved to find someone reliable to watch my kitty- I will definitely be using her again! Thanks Weilin!”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - August
Rosaura is punctual and reliable. She really loves our pets and takes excellent care of them. She goes above and beyond when necessary. We had a little mishap with a broken hose in our yard and she told us right away and helped us drain the yard so it wouldn’t be completely soaked when we returned. We are confident leaving our pets in her care.

Celestine did a great job taking care of my cat! She went above and beyond. I was very pleased to see how well things went with the Rover check ins/cards and with returning to find that my cat was perfectly okay. It’s never easy finding great care for your fur babies, unless it’s Brooke! Had to find care in a slight pinch and Brooke saved the weekend and also made sure my dog and cat were in great hands. She made sure to send updates with pictures and felt that was above and beyond of expectations. And also thankful for her attention to detail. Great job, great care, and such a positive experience for Soja and Man-man. Would 100% book again and highly recommend if I or others ever need someone to care for their pets! You rock 🤘🏾

Lisseth was amazing with my cats, Penny and Stormi. She replaced the litter, made sure they were fed, and even left extra dry food out just like I asked. She kept everything in the house exactly as it was, took the trash out, and was thoughtful enough to leave the key under the mat for when I got back. She even noticed small things like running low on trash bags and let me know where she left the clicker in the kitchen. It’s clear she really pays attention and cares about doing things right. I came home to happy cats and a home that felt untouched. I’d absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, detail-oriented cat sitter.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
