“Alexia went above and beyond to not just make sure my two kitties were taken care of, but also managed to keep them comfortable and happy while we were out of town for a week! She cleaned the litter box out and even tidied up and vacuumed when needed. The cats love her and we will definitely have her back”

“Emma is Awesome She was communicating with me very well. Very friendly with my doggies. Rudy is easy to become friends with but Lulu is a little bit more, by second visit looks like everything was great. She fed and walked the dogs and loved on them while we were away.”

“Karrington was amazing with my Pepper. I'm always worried about her getting lonely when I'm gone, but the pictures that Karrington sent really put my mind at ease while I was on vacation. Pepper looked happy and engaged in all of her updates. I will definitely be calling on Karrington again the next time I'm out of town!!”
“Sara was hands down the best we have used off Rover. She showed up promptly as discussed left the best messages and pictures on the cards and loved our pups as her own ! I usually have such anxiety leaving our pups so we take less trips due to this but we trusted her reviews and she did not disappoint!! We will forever use Sara as long as she is on Rover ! I would even plan my trips around her availability to make sure she was the one watching our pups ! Thank you Sara for your great care you took of our pups you are the best !!”

“Carmen came to visit, play, and snuggle with our Riley girl. She provided lots of pictures and videos during the hour drop in visit. We now use her weekly :)”

“She was great! 100% recommend. I needed help for a later time and she was able to modify the schedule and help me out. Definitely made things great! Will be using her again for sure!! Thank you so much!!”

“Kayla was WONDERFUL! It was our first time doing a drop-in visit, and she really eased my anxiety. She played with my girl, sat with her and gave her all cuddles and treats. Will be going back to her for SURE!”

About: I would love to take care of your babies while you are away. I will talk to them , cuddle them, feed and walk them. I’m am currently retired and looking forward to pet sitting. I have another friend that enjoys this so much, and I think I will like it just as much as she does. I will make sure there is always clean water, feed in the morning and evenings, or as often as you like. I wash the bowls about every other day. I have 3 beds for my chihuahua, one in the living room, bedroom and dining room where my computer sits. She sits in my lap when she wants, she lets me know when she needs to go out and I keep pee pads down for her just in case, and keep the area clean.
“Mariah is great. I needed last minute care and she was able to help. I met her and her family for a meet and greet and they were so good with my babies. I will definitely have her in mind for future care :).”

About: Hi there! My name is Lauren. Some helpful things to know about me is that I have 5+ years experience in animal care. I've worked at animal shelters and as a manager at a pet daycare/boarding facility, I also have done pet sitting and dog walking on my own in the past. I've recently moved to the area and want to continue working with animals. I am responsible, reliable and will treat your pets as if they were my own. I love to send lots of updates and pictures so you know your pets are well taken care of. I have just recently moved to Alvarado and left my job at Operation Kindness Humane Society because the commute would of been too long. So my schedule is very open as of right now while I look for another job. I have a large yard, however it is not fully fenced. If you'd like for your pup to come to my house I would walk them to go potty. I also have 2 dogs that are dog friendly so if your pup likes to play they will get along great. My dogs are fully vaccinated and up to date all all shots and preventions. For your baby to stay with me I would need to see vaccination records, just to make sure everyone is safe and healthy. If you'd prefer me to pet sit at your home I am more than happy to do that as well and stay consistent with the daily routine you have with your animals. This is usually my preferred way, as it is less stressful for your animals to be in a familiar environment.
“Cassidy is great with Brin and Tunie. She's part of the pack now. I appreciate her willingness to go above and beyond, and her care for my dog and cat. My family has been going through some struggles and it's great to know that the pets are well cared for while I go tend to family members. Her flexibility with schedules and needs is amazing.”

As of September 2026, there are 762 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Auburn. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Auburn. On Rover:
- 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
