During the five days Rebekah cared for our girls, we received updates twice a day, always with great photos and videos. Every message was thoughtful and “newsy,” and Rebekah never hesitated to respond whenever we reached out, which gave us the total peace of mind everyone wants while out of town. One of our cats, Sadie, worked herself into such a state that she developed diarrhea even before we left. When we let Rebekah know, she suggested adding pumpkin to Sadie’s diet—and voilà! Problem solved. We were so impressed by Rebekah’s attentiveness, knowledge, and genuine care for our cats. We came home to two happy, well‑cared‑for girls and couldn’t be more grateful. About: I have had a lifelong love of animals and have been caring for pets from a very young age. I grew up with both dogs and cats and learned early on the importance of being responsible, patient, gentle, and attentive to their needs. As an adult, I have continued to care for my own pets, including many cats and a rabbit, giving me experience with different animals, personalities, routines, and care requirements. What sets me apart is the genuine care and attention I give to every animal. I don’t see pet sitting as simply feeding an animal and letting them out—I believe pets need companionship, affection, playtime, exercise, and individual attention. I am dependable, patient, observant, and very attentive to changes in an animal’s behavior or routine. I work part-time, which gives me an extremely flexible schedule and allows me to make pet care a priority. I am available every day of the week and can accommodate visits, walks, feeding schedules, and other care needs at various times throughout the day. Because my schedule is flexible, I can provide consistent and dependable care without having to rush through visits. I am able to adjust my routine around each pet’s individual needs and schedule, whether they need regular walks, playtime, feeding, companionship, or overnight care. I enjoy spending time with animals and would be happy to make caring for pets an important part of my daily routine. I have three cats of my own, so I understand the responsibility and commitment involved in providing daily care for pets. I make sure they always have fresh food and water, clean litter boxes, a safe and comfortable environment, and plenty of attention and affection. I also spend time playing with them and providing enrichment to keep them happy and engaged. If caring for someone else’s pet in my home, I would follow the owner’s instructions carefully and maintain the pet’s normal feeding, bathroom, exercise, medication, and sleeping routines as much as possible. I would also take into consideration their personality and comfort level, especially if they are nervous or adjusting to a new environment. Because I have cats, I would also make sure any visiting pet is safely separated when necessary and that introductions are handled appropriately. I'm currently a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) and PhD student at North Carolina State University, where I focus on animal health and welfare. Before returning to veterinary school, I spent over a decade leading teams in the technology industry, so reliability, communication, and professionalism are second nature. About: I have my own 8 year old Maltipoo. I have also watched my friends dogs when they would go out of town for vacation due to my flexible schedule. I work remote and I am working on my bachelors degree online so my schedule is rather flexible. Differs from semester to semester though so I will adjust once the spring semester starts. I typically go to the clients home since the dog is more comfortable in their own environment. That option has always worked out the best in the past.
