“Christina was great with my dogs. She took care of them while I was away for a week and kept me updated with pictures while I was away. I will definitely work with her again.”

About: I’ve been taking care of dogs and cats all my life, both my own and others. Professionally I have been providing care for the last 25 years. My specialty is cats. I’m retired, active and have a flexible schedule. I’m able to work around client needs within my geographical location. I love being out and about for health and well-being. I’m available frequently. I’d happily adhere to any requirements you request for your little ones. I understand pets have varying specific needs much like humans do! Protecting your fury family is a priority. If it’s really hot I’ll keep them hydrated and walk them in the shade. I don’t ever want you to worry about your pets when I’m in charge of their health and wellbeing. If any emergency situation arises my first call will be to your veterinary office, then to you. My reliable transportation will bring them there immediately. Just to let you know, I’ve never had an accident happen within all my years of pet care. Safety comes first.
“Two words: Top Notch! Kerryanne has been awesome with my two German Shepherds. One of which is almost 12 and needs extra help along the other who is almost 6 with nuclear energy. Kerryanne was intentional in the time spent with my dogs whether she was housesitting or doing drop-in visits. The photos she sent were a very nice touch to get during her drop in visits! Thank you Kerryanne! If you're looking for someone to help you care for your four-legged family while at work or while you're away I highly trust and recommend Kerryanne.”
“Will definitely be using Audrey again! She was great! Was always quick with communication, loved my animals like her own, and was very patient with my animals extra needs. She kept our house in great condition, and even went above and beyond just taking care of the animals.”

“Robyn did a great job to give us time to visit family without having to worry about the dogs and cat. She even came back to tend to a smoke alarm that was chirping and freaking the dogs out. We really appreciate everything she did. Thank you.”

About: Hi! I’m a dependable animal lover with experience caring for a variety of pets, from dogs and cats to farm animals. Whether your pet needs daily walks, playtime, feeding, medication administration, or simply extra love and attention while you’re away, I’m committed to providing safe, reliable, and compassionate care. Growing up in a small-town environment, I’ve always been surrounded by animals and understand that every pet has its own unique personality and needs. I am comfortable caring for dogs of all sizes, cats, chickens, goats, horses, and other farm animals. My goal is to make sure your animals feel comfortable, happy, and well cared for while giving you peace of mind. I treat every animal as if they were my own and believe in providing plenty of attention, exercise, affection, and care. Whether you need drop-in visits, walks, overnight care, or help with farm chores, I would love the opportunity to care for your furry (or feathered!) family members. 🐾❤️ I am currently working part time. Pet care naturally fits into my daily routine because I have always been an animal lover and enjoy spending time with pets. I am available before and after work, on evenings, and on weekends for walks, drop-in visits, feedings, playtime, and general care. I am organized, dependable, and committed to making sure each pet receives the attention, exercise, and care they need while their owners are away. Caring for animals is something I genuinely enjoy, and I love building relationships with both pets and their families. I provide loving, attentive care tailored to each pet’s individual needs. As the owner of a 7-year-old dog, I understand how important it is to keep pets comfortable, safe, and on their normal routine. I also grew up with a family dog, so caring for animals has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I follow their established routines for feeding, walks, playtime, medications, and bedtime to help reduce stress and keep pets happy. I make sure they receive plenty of attention, exercise, affection, and companionship while their family is away. I also keep owners updated with photos and messages so they can have peace of mind. My goal is to treat every pet as if they were my own, ensuring they feel loved, secure, and well cared for at all times.

About: I've had dogs, cats, horses, goats, and chickens on my small farm. Guinea pigs, hamsters, and snakes I've been surrounded by animals of all kinds. My experience includes caring, raising, training and giving medical care if needed. I also have a degree in animal science. I'm retired, so my schedule is very flexible. “Kaitlyn is wonderful. We have 2 dogs and a cat. One of our dogs is VERY anxious. We needed someone who could take extra care with him and she definitely did. She stayed overnight with them on our home. She arrived promptly, followed all instructions and sent multiple photo/text updates. She played with them and adapted to their lifestyle/schedule. I would 100% have her stay again and I definitely highly recommend her.”

“Rebekah did a great job pet sitting at our house with our 4-year old lab/belgian manois shepherd. We had a very last minute need for 4 nights/5 days in our home and Rebekah managed to make it work with short notice. Maya was happy and she has a new friend in Rebekah. We highly recommend her.”

“Savannah did an outstanding job caring for all of our pets. She handled our two large, high energy dogs with confidence and made sure they got plenty of exercise and attention. We were especially impressed with how quickly our typically shy cat warmed up to her and even started playing, which is very rare. It was clear that Savannah genuinely cares for them. We highly recommend her and will definitely be reaching out again in the future.”

“Heaven is a professional pet sitter! She was on time, communicated with us very fast, and our dogs were at ease with her (which is often hard for our reserved doberman.) We would be happy to be in the number of her permanent clients. She is coming back next week!”

About: I have had dogs my entire life. I have a brand new home at the end of Taylors Creek on the water. When I built I had my work in animal rescue in mind. I have LVP flooring, doors to a private screened porch and top deck with a dog pool that locks or they can head down to a fenced in back yard. I do allow my dogs in the bed but I respect the rules of home as well. I am local and know all the dog hot spots. I am more than happy to bring your dogs for a visit while you are here on vacation or you are welcome to come to my home to visit. The horses of shack stand in front of my home for an extra bonus. If your dogs needs a bath I can do that to as I have hot and cold dog washing station. I work from home 24/7 and if I leave I normally take the crew with me. I also can crate if you so desire and have several. I have a fenced in yard. Two security gates. Cameras. I respect all rules from your home. I have every size crate you would need. I have a lovely collie that loves having friends over. I work from home and have regular dog play dates. We always are chasing a ball or frisbee and the dogs live going on boat rides. I have cameras, fenced in yard and dog crates so you would not need to bring anything but food. I respect owners house rules during visit.
About: I have my own 8 year old Maltipoo. I have also watched my friends dogs when they would go out of town for vacation due to my flexible schedule. I work remote and I am working on my bachelors degree online so my schedule is rather flexible. Differs from semester to semester though so I will adjust once the spring semester starts. I typically go to the clients home since the dog is more comfortable in their own environment. That option has always worked out the best in the past.
“We really loved Christine. Not only is she a kind, loving soul, she showed a lot of attention to detail. We felt comfortable leaving our babies with her and are planning on booking again! I have no reservations about her and she did a fantastic job!!!!! She is great!”

“Courtney was fantastic! She took great care of my dog, Max, followed all his care instructions, and provided photos and updates regularly. She also left my apartment spotless and was an extremely respectful house guest.”

Wow, Linda and Charlie were wonderful!! They went over and beyond to take great care of my senior pet. Linda communicated with me frequently throughout my travels with updates and photographs. FAQs for House Sitting - Atlantic Beach
Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 157 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Atlantic Beach. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Atlantic Beach walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Atlantic Beach maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Atlantic Beach choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Atlantic Beach. On Rover:
- 100% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
