“Mika is a reactive dog around strangers, and this was her very first time staying alone without me — so it wasn’t an easy situation. The first few hours were tough, but Sky, with so much patience, love, and sensitivity, managed to earn Mika’s trust and affection on the very first day. It was truly amazing. 🤩 On top of that, Sky gave me so much peace of mind by sending frequent updates and photos of Mika, which really helped ease my anxiety. ADEMÁS que habla español, mi idioma nativo, así que no pude estar más cómoda en nuestra comunicación. Sky —a name that couldn’t be more fitting— is a kind, respectful, communicative, and very responsible young woman. I would trust her with Mika again a thousand times over. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, Sky! 💖”

About: I have had dogs since for my entire life, so I have cared for all ages of dogs from puppies to seniors. I enjoy taking dogs on walks, spending time cuddling with senior dogs, and playing with puppies! I am currently a full time student at the University of Iowa in Iowa City. I have a few hours during the weekdays for potty breaks and feeding, and I am available on the weekends. I am willing to pet sit overnight in your home on weeknights, as well as weekends. My apartment is not pet-friendly, so I am not allowed to bring your pets to me, but I will drive to your home to care for your pets there. I will ensure to keep your pets safe, active, and content while you are away.

“Anden was such a fantastic house/dog/cat sitter. We highly recommend her. It’s always nerve-wracking leaving our floofs and home with a new sitter; and Anden set our worries to rest. She was highly communicative, sent regular pics and videos of floof cuteness to reassure us that everyone was doing well, and we arrived home to a clean house and happy, calm pets. Moreover, Anden gracefully handled several unexpected situations that arose. The first night we were gone, a storm took down several trees in our very long driveway- Anden immediately informed us and reassured us that she, her car, the pets, and our house were okay until we were able to get someone to clear the drive the next day. Then when we were delayed overnight on our journey home, Anden was flexible and agreed to stay an extra day to make sure the floofs were ok. We won’t hesitate to contact her again!”

About: I have owned many dogs in my life time. I can deal with dogs who don’t do well on a leash as well as senior dogs. I am located in Iowa City I am starting a new job in the beginning of July so in the meantime I’m free every day for drop in visits or boarding. Once my job starts I will only be free Friday-Sunday I live in a safe apartment complex with a pad lock on the front door so your pet will be safe. Experience with many types of dogs.

“Where do I begin-Zara took care of our two fur babies in our home for 12 days while we went out of the country and she did an amazing job!! She gets a 12 out of 10-seriously! Everyday there were pictures and videos, she provided a copy of her schedule so we had a general idea of when she would be gone etc. One of our dogs has arthritis and leg issues that require a ramp to get up on our bed-Zara moved the ramp to the spare room so Maggie and Rizzo could both sleep with her. I about cried with that kind gesture. She even asked permission before ordering any food delivery to the house. Words cannot express what a godsend Zara is! I cannot recommend her enough.”

“Amber was phenomenal with my dog, Arya, while I was out of the country!! She house sat for me and sent me daily updates and photos so I never had to worry how things were. I came home to a very happy pup! I can’t recommend her enough and will be using her again and again!”

“Theresa was phenomenal! She took such good care of our dogs. She sent regular updates and was so attentive to their habits. It gave us such peace of mind to see how much fun our dogs were having while we were out of town. I’d recommend Theresa to everyone!”

“Lyzzi took excellent care of our pets and house while we were away. I appreciated the clear communication, regular updates, and pictures. We would gladly rebook with Lyzzi in the future.”

“Angie was an amazing dog sitter for us!! She watched our dog, Rosie, and my brother in law’s dog, Kenobi, in our home when we were on vacation for 4 days. Angie came to our house prior to the sit for a proper meet and greet with the pups. It was clear how experienced she is around pets and the pups loved her immediately. Our dog Rosie is on a special diet which was no issue when we were away. Angie kept great communication and gave us daily updates with pictures of the dogs. I would highly recommend Angie!!”

About: I've had pets my entire life. From cats, dogs, fish, turtles, hedgehog, snakes, birds you name it I've probably owned it or have taken care of it! At one time we had 16 different animals in our home and the neighbors and their kids would come over to hold them, play with them and learn about them! I love animals more than I probably like humans lol! I have a keen intuition with them and feel like I can feel what they are feeling a lot of the time. Animals are easily attracted to me and they warm up to me real quickly. I have done pet sitting in the past and have always got compliments on how well I take care of animals. I go above and beyond to make sure animals are safe and loved! I have my own business so fitting your schedule into mine will be very easy. I interact with humans a lot on a daily basis and want to get back into caring for animals so I'm very flexible with my schedule Daily walks, daily play, feeding 2-3times a day. Lots of kisses and petting and a lot of talking to them as well. Take them to the vet regularly and give medication when prescribed. Make sure their environment is safe to play in and roam around in. I'm open to all needs of pets.

Whether that be walking, training (potty or tricks), playing, providing needed medial support, and everything in between. I've had experience pet/house sitting for a long time, and I'm dedicated to make it a comfortable experience for everyone. Pets are family, and I'd treat them as if they were my own. Quality nor quantity deter me from delivering the best care possible, and I'm more than happy to do so. I'm currently working part time with a fluctuating schedule. Hours usually consist of mornings on different days of the week, with every other weekend off. I'm given two fifteen minute breaks and one half hour, so even if it's a day I work, I can manage to squeeze in potty breaks or feedings, need be. While every situation is different, I am adaptable to your needs. If it's a day I don't work, I can certainly bring your pet to my house and care for them here. Otherwise, I'm comfortable caring for your pet(s) in your home.
