Kayla did an exceptional job taking care of our dogs and keeping us up-to-date on their behavior and welfare. We had not used a pet-sitting service before and were very happy with the care and enthusiasm Kayla showed on her visits to our home. She followed our instructions to the letter and went above and beyond our expectations in making friends with our dogs. We will definitely use rover.com again, because we know they were much happier at home than confined to a kennel at the veterinary clinic.

About: I understand how much pets mean to their owners, and I treat every animal with the same care and attention I'd want for my own. I'm patient, reliable, and mindful of each pet's unique needs, making sure they always feel safe and comfortable while you're away!! I'm currently in school Wednesday through Friday, but I'm available for pet care from Friday night through Tuesday night. This gives me plenty of time to provide attentive care for your pets while you're gone. When caring for pets, I follow their usual routine to keep them comfortable and stress-free. I make sure they're fed on schedule, have fresh water, and get plenty of exercise and attention. I keep the home clean, respect house rules, and provide updates so owners can feel at ease.

About: I've been walking and caring for pets since I moved to Seattle three years ago. I've worked with a large, reactive, special needs american bully, a grumpy senior chihuahua, a springy ESS, an affectionate elderly bunny, and an adorably high strung chiweenie (all of which quickly became best friends). I also have my own kitty who loves outdoor adventures and interrupting a puzzle. I'm currently working on researching and practicing training techniques in preparation for a dog of my own. Excited to meet your friend!! I currently have open availability and can flex my schedule around your convenience whether that be a small check in or a week long vacation! I have a fenced back yard and live with two tiny dogs who love friends! I have a kitty of my own who is curious and reserved around dogs and is obsessed with befriending other cats. All house pets have lived with other animals from a young age and thrive with other furry friends. Happy to help with crate training if that's on your agenda. I have plenty of toys and live a short walk away from a lively park with lots of running room.

I don’t have children yet but I think it was a good analogy. :) If you would like to talk with me on the phone I am happy to get the know the owners as well! I’m also pretty fit so even if your dog has a lot of energy I’ll be able to keep up for sure! I hope you consider me. WHAT I OFFER: 1. Dog and Cat Boarding 2. Dog and Cat Check-Ins 3. Dog Walks Im currently working part time so I will have plenty of time to spend with your pup! We can go for plenty of walks and have plenty of play! I have a spacious apartment so your pooch will have plenty of space to run around and explore the environment. I will provide plenty of cuddles and attention to your pet as well while in my care!

From playful puppies and kittens to senior pets needing extra TLC, I’ve had the joy of looking after animals of all ages and sizes. My experience includes daily drop-ins, feeding, walks, playtime, and lots of love. I’m also skilled at giving medications and following special instructions to keep pets happy and healthy. Whether it’s snuggles on the couch, long walks, or just keeping their routine consistent, I go the extra mile to ensure peace of mind for both pets and their people. currently work part-time cleaning houses, which gives me a very flexible schedule. This makes it easy for me to add in pet sitting jobs throughout the day, whether it’s quick drop-ins, walks, or longer visits. I enjoy balancing my cleaning work with caring for pets, and the flexibility allows me to be reliable and available when families need me.” I don’t offer in my home care at this time that may change in the near future but not at the moment. Thank you. Though

FAQs for Drop-In Visits - Ashville

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of July 2026, there are 114 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Ashville. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
