About: Hi, I’m Anna 🖤 I’m a calm, dependable pet sitter providing structured, low-stress care for dogs and cats throughout Ashville, Gadsden, Rainbow City, Southside, and nearby areas. I specialize in caring for puppies, senior dogs, anxious pets, special-needs pets, multi-pet households, and dogs who thrive with routine, patience, and clear expectations. Whether your pet needs relaxing companionship, playtime and exercise, medication support, or consistent daily routines, I focus on making every visit feel safe, comfortable, and personalized to their needs. I understand how important peace of mind is when trusting someone with your pets and home. My goal is always the same: dependable communication, reliable care, photo updates, and a calm environment where your pet feels emotionally secure while you’re away. I have experience with: • Puppies and potty training routines • Senior dog care • Oral and injected medications • Reactive or anxious dogs • Structured feeding schedules • Multi-pet households • High-energy dogs needing exercise • Calm companionship for shy pets • Crate-trained and routine-based care • Drop-ins, walks, boarding, daycare, and overnight care One of my own dogs, Velma, has been raised using calm, consistent structure both at home and in public settings. That experience taught me how much dogs benefit from patience, fairness, routine, and clear boundaries. I bring that same balanced energy into every pet care visit. Safety is extremely important to me. I use leashes or secure harnesses during outdoor time, monitor pet interactions carefully, maintain clean feeding routines, and follow household instructions closely to help keep pets safe and stress-free. A typical visit may include: • Walks or exercise • Potty breaks • Fresh food and water • Medication administration if needed • Playtime and enrichment • Calm companionship • Safety checks • Photo and Rover Card updates I know every pet has their own personality, comfort level, and routines, so I tailor care to fit what helps them feel happiest and most secure. I also understand that communication matters. I respond quickly, provide regular updates, and do my best to make owners feel fully informed and comfortable throughout the booking process. Thank you for considering me to care for your pets 🖤 I’d love the opportunity to meet you and your furry family. Availability I currently offer dog walks and drop-in visits throughout the week 🖤 My goal is to provide dependable, calm, and structured care that helps dogs feel safe, comfortable, and relaxed while maintaining their normal routines as closely as possible. Preferred scheduling hours: Morning Visits: 8 AM–11 AM Midday Visits: 11 AM–2 PM Afternoon Visits: 2 PM–5 PM Evening Visits: 5 PM–7 PM I’m experienced with: • Puppies and structured potty routines • Senior dogs • Multi-dog households • Medication schedules • High-energy dogs needing exercise • Anxious or routine-based dogs needing calm, patient care During drop-in visits and walks, I focus on safety, communication, routine, and personalized attention. Owners can expect reliable updates, photos, and attentive care during every visit so they feel informed and confident while away from their pets 🖤 Your dog’s safety, comfort, and emotional well-being are always my top priorities 🖤 I understand how important it is to trust the person caring for your pet and entering your home, so I focus heavily on dependable communication, calm handling, and maintaining a clean, structured environment during every visit. I believe dogs thrive best with patience, consistency, routine, and clear boundaries. I take time to learn each dog’s personality, energy level, comfort needs, and daily routine so care feels as stress-free and familiar as possible while you’re away. Safety practices include: • Secure leash and harness handling • Careful monitoring during walks and outdoor time • Slow introductions and supervised interactions • Clean feeding and water routines • Close attention to medications and instructions • Monitoring behavior, appetite, mood, and energy levels • Maintaining locked doors, gates, and household safety routines I’m especially mindful of anxious dogs, senior dogs, puppies, and pets who need extra patience or structure. Some dogs need energetic play and exercise, while others simply need calm companionship and reassurance. I tailor care to what helps your dog feel safest and most comfortable. I also know that communication builds trust. Owners can expect regular updates, photos, and honest communication throughout each booking so you always feel informed and connected while away from your pet. My goal is simple: to create a calm, reliable, and loving environment where dogs feel secure and owners feel complete peace of mind 🖤

About: What sets me apart from other sitters is my hands-on experience as a pet owner my whole life for cats and dogs (I have one Shih-tzu and one cat as of now!). I have also provided walks for other pets for 2 years for my family and friends, offering personalized care and a deep understanding of animal behavior and needs. My passion for pets ensures they receive the attention, love, and exercise they deserve! Since it's summer, I have a flexible schedule that gives me plenty of time to dedicate to pet care. I'm looking to spend my summer doing something I genuinely enjoy, and caring for pets is a great fit. Whether it's walks, drop-in visits, or pet sitting, I can easily work them into my daily routine and make sure each pet gets the attention, exercise, and care they need. I treat every pet like they're my own! I make sure they have fresh water, regular meals, plenty of exercise, and lots of attention. I always follow the owner's instructions, whether that's sticking to a feeding schedule, giving medication, or keeping up with their normal routine. I keep the environment clean and safe, watch for anything that seems off, and send regular updates with photos so you know your pet is happy and well cared for. My goal is to help them feel comfortable, relaxed, and loved while you're away.

Shelby was a life saver and the best dog walker ever. I had to bring my dog to my parents house for an out of state trip for two weeks. My parents are +70 years old and can’t walk my husky dog. I met Shelby and she was the only person I needed to see. Prince loved her immediately so I knew he was in good hands. Shelby gave Prince daily walks for one hour. Took him on trips to dog parks and even gave him a bath on his last day since it was a rainy week. I highly recommend her for any service and if I’m ever back in town with Prince I’ll definitely see if she’s available.

About: I’m an animal lover and enthusiast who has grown up taking care of all types of pets and worked in the veterinary medicine industry since I was 17 years old. I’m comfortable with pets of all kinds, and because of my job I am comfortable administering medication of all types, including injections. I’m also very willing to work with the more “troublesome” pets. I’m currently in school getting my veterinary technician certification and need help making some extra money on the side. I hope you consider me to take care of and love your fur babies❤️ I currently work part time at a vet clinic and my Classes are usually done by early afternoon so I will have more than enough time to take care of your fur babies as needed. With my working background I am comfortable with any food restrictions, medications, walking, crating, and care your pet may need to be happy and comfortable. I will make sure to give meds, food, and specific care instructions extra attention as needed.

About: I've been walking and caring for pets since I moved to Seattle three years ago. I've worked with a large, reactive, special needs american bully, a grumpy senior chihuahua, a springy ESS, an affectionate elderly bunny, and an adorably high strung chiweenie (all of which quickly became best friends). I also have my own kitty who loves outdoor adventures and interrupting a puzzle. I'm currently working on researching and practicing training techniques in preparation for a dog of my own. Excited to meet your friend!! I currently have open availability and can flex my schedule around your convenience whether that be a small check in or a week long vacation! I have a fenced back yard and live with two tiny dogs who love friends! I have a kitty of my own who is curious and reserved around dogs and is obsessed with befriending other cats. All house pets have lived with other animals from a young age and thrive with other furry friends. Happy to help with crate training if that's on your agenda. I have plenty of toys and live a short walk away from a lively park with lots of running room.

FAQs for Dog Walking - Ashville

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of July 2026, there are 233 sitters on Rover offering Dog Walking across Ashville. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Ashville. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Report cards require photos and can include a map of the walking route , total walk time, poop and pee breaks, and distance traveled, so you know exactly where your dog has been walking in Ashville.

Got specific details you'd like the dog walker to include? Message them in the app before your dog’s walk begins.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every walker on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
