“Nicole was very kind and responsible. She sent lots of pictures and spent plenty of time making sure my 3 month old puppy was happy and well rested. I would book her again in the future!”

“We are grateful to find Rebecca to watch Murphy, our English lab. Murph can be a bit of a diva, he demands a lot of attention and can be difficult to walk sometimes. He requires a lot of patience! Rebecca is great, she is very responsible and I trust her with my beloved pup. I appreciate the updates she gave and the level of care she provided. We will definitely be seeking Rebeccas’ services again soon!”

“Outstanding service from Jess. I received daily reports and pics of my little fur baby. Gave me assurance she was in good hands. Highly recommend Jess as a trustworthy pet sitter”

“I can’t say enough great things about Maddy! She recently watched our 2 dogs at our house while my husband and I went on a trip. She sent plenty of pictures, updates and gave our pups lots of love. We were so thankful for Maddy and it gave us great peace of mind to know that our dogs were in good hands while we were away!”

“Daniel took care of our two boys while we were away. He gave them lots of love and attention providing us with daily photos. He was very respectful of house rules. We will be using him in future.”

“Hailey truly went above and beyond watching my pup while we were away at the beach! Initial introduction was warm and could trust she'd be attentive and affectionate towards him. Updated me with photos and comments during our trip, and when I came back the place was as tidy as when we left it! She even made a handwritten note and Polaroid photo of my doggo which I will cherish. Very kind lady who will treat your pet great, highly recommend”

“Lexi took outstanding care of all 5 of our cats - we have a complex feeding routine and medication schedule and she did great managing both! Will definitely book with her again :)”

“Finding someone who wants to pet sit two Great Danes is no easy task, but Elizabeth is an absolute natural! From the moment she came over for the initial meet-and-greet, she was so wonderful with them that they were genuinely upset when she left. She did an incredible job house-sitting and taking care of my giant pups in their own environment. She even went above and beyond by tolerating both of them crowding her on the bed—anyone with Danes knows they are world-class bed hogs! I could tell they were safe, loved, and thoroughly spoiled the entire time. I highly recommend Elizabeth to anyone looking for a top-tier pet sitter. In fact, I’m pretty sure my dogs are secretly hoping I travel again just so they can spend more time with her! 😊”

“We had a wonderful experience with Leigh! Nick was very well taken care of, and we really appreciated Leigh’s thorough communication throughout. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing he was in such good hands. Would definitely recommend!”

About: Hi, I’m Ariel! I’m an experienced dog walker and pet sitter with a lifelong love for animals. I grew up in Denver, Colorado with a Great Dane, so I’m comfortable with dogs of all sizes and breeds. While I don’t currently have a pet of my own, I truly enjoy the companionship and energy animals bring—whether it’s a long walk, some playtime, or a cozy night of pet sitting. Professionally, I work as a respiratory therapist, which means I’m highly attentive, calm under pressure, and used to caring for others in a variety of situations. I bring the same level of responsibility and adaptability to the pets I care for. I’ve looked after dogs, cats, birds, and even reptiles—and I’m always happy to tailor care to your pet’s unique needs and routine. When I’m not working or pet sitting, I love being active—walking, hiking, and exploring the mountains and neighborhoods around the mountains. I’d love the chance to meet your furry (or feathered or scaly!) friend and help however I can. Hope to hear from you! As a respiratory therapist, I work three night shifts a week, which means I have four full days off—plenty of time to dedicate to your pet! Even on the days I work, I’m home during the day and can still provide your dog with regular walks, playtime, and companionship before I head into my shift. My flexible schedule allows me to offer consistent, attentive care throughout the week, whether your pup needs a long walk, a quick potty break, or some extra snuggles and enrichment. I always prioritize keeping your pet happy, active, and loved—whether I’m with them for an hour or the whole day. Let’s find a routine that works perfectly for both you and your furry friend! When caring for pets in their own home, I respect their familiar environment and routine by: • Following the owner’s specific instructions for feeding, walking, play, and medication. • Maintaining their daily schedule to minimize disruption and stress. • Keeping the home tidy by cleaning up after the pet and ensuring fresh water is always available. • Offering companionship and attention to prevent loneliness or anxiety. • Providing regular updates to the owner, including photos or messages, so they can feel reassured.
“Michael was AWESOME! Because of some behavior issues with our dogs, boarding them wasn't an option. This was our first vacation since COVID so our dogs had never been left alone. As you can imagine, we were nervous to find someone whom we trusted with our precious dogs. We had no reason to worry. Michael took the time to meet with us and our dogs before our trip. We reviewed routines and familiarized him to our home. During our vacation he kept in contact with us by messaging questions and updates with pictures. He was even able to get our dogs to let him put on their harnesses and go for walks (previously they only let us do that). Needless to say we felt very at ease knowing Michael was caring for them. We will definitely be using Michael again in the future.”

“Keirsten and Zeeke hit it off immediately and it was refreshing to see them both have an amazing time while she house sat and took care of our elderly statesman. She provided constant updates, pictures, videos, and made sure to ask all the important questions to take care of our pup. Would definitely recommend.”

Musu was able to board our two cats for a few weeks even though we asked for it last minute. She was very flexible and considerate with our situation (we had to extend the stay last minute too). I have received updates daily with pictures and the communication was great. My cats were well taken care of. Would book again!

Keira was an absolutely phenomenal sitter for our cranky old lady Bug! A ton of great communication and pictures, we never had to worry about how Bug was doing. Even though Bug was extremely difficulty taking her pills, Keira displayed a ton of patience with our pup. I could not recommend her enough!!

Gabbys great! I was kinda a nervous wreck leaving my 3 large dogs with all the things they've been through lately and pills. But the second I met her and saw her interact with them I was at ease. She knew how to deal with them, how to be confident with big dogs, and is extremely knowledgeable with animals and care. Thanks Gabby for taking care of the boys and making me feel calm and enjoy a few days away!

Evelyn was so sweet and took amazing care of our cat and dog! She’s super adaptable and communicative. We had workers at our house while we were gone and her number 1 priority was making sure our pets weren’t stressed and still felt loved. We’d love to have her again!

We had a wonderful experience with Samantha as our dog sitter! She took great care of our dogs and gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. Samantha kept the house clean and tidy, sent us regular pictures and updates, and it was clear our dogs were happy and well cared for. We really appreciated her communication and attention to detail. Highly recommend Samantha to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring pet sitter!

Christine took care of my fur baby at my place for a week while I was out of the country. From the very first meeting I could see how good she is with pets, my dog really liked her and knowing she has 5 dogs of her own gave me a sense of peace. She communicated everyday, sending me updates and pictures of my dog while I was away. I was very pleased with the care she gave my dog, I hightly recommend her. I know I will be calling on her next time I need a pet/house sitter.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Ashton Glen walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Ashton Glen maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Ashton Glen choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
