About: I'm working on having my own animal day care in the future. I've always had pets growing up but no professional experience. I took a cpr, first aid and safety course so I'm confident in preventing and handling accidents. Animals have a special kind of love because the give genuine love. It's like a babys love. They can't talk but always by your side, depend on you and love you like no other. Who wouldn't enjoy working working with them ! I'm very patient, loving and observant with animals. I believe after a while they just get comfortable with me because I'm not scared and I have the confidence that I'm a animal whisper lol. Your pet will be satisfied under my care and you will be very pleased that JaLisa was there for your Pet care ! I have open availability and I do accpect last minute bookings if it works with my schedule. Do not hesitate to contact me last minute. I took a cpr, first aid and safety coruse and I am confident in taking the right measures in making sure your pet is safe and well taking care of in my hands.
About: I have been a vet tech for 14 years now and I absolutely love the work I do. Unfortunately, being a single mother doesn't allow me to fully commit to veterinary clinic hours. I am starting up my own mobile pet service business called Pampered Pet. I provide excellent pet care along with other services such as nail trims, sanitary and paw shave, baths and more. I will give your fur-baby lots of love and attention so you can rest your mind knowing your pet is in great hands. If there happens to be an emergency situation while I am there, I know what steps to take and have veterinarian contacts on hand. I am committed to all my clients and their fur-babies. Please contact me with any questions. I look forward to meeting you and your fur-baby. I currently run my own business so I will have plenty of time to give your fur baby the attention and loving they deserve while you are away. We are working on a fence at the moment. Your pup will love playing with my sweet yellow lab. If needed, I can always put my dog in his kennel. I do not foresee that happening though.
About: I have taken care of dogs and cats my entire life and love them. I have been a dog walker and pet sitter in my spare time for years as well in my down time. Now that I have relocated to South Carolina from Massachusetts I am looking to rebuild those relationships with some deserving furry friends. I am available to take your pet for walks, play dates and will board them for you. I have a beautiful, clean and spacious two bedroom apartment and have all the love in the world to shower them with. Please reach out! I am available every day for mornings, afternoon and night visits, walls and boarding! I am also available for last minute check ins late at night. My approach to pet care is rooted in two things: a lifelong love for animals and a professional commitment to reliability. Whether I am hosting a pet in my home or visiting yours, I offer a high-touch, organized service. For boarding, I focus on creating a calm, predictable environment with plenty of exercise and affection. For in-home visits and walking, I leverage my experience in property management to ensure your home is treated with the utmost respect while your pet receives my undivided attention. I am experienced with senior pets, understand the nuances of pet-friendly travel, and am committed to providing the peace of mind that comes with knowing your furry family member—and your home—are in expert hands.
About: I just moved to South Carolina and I’m excited to meet new pups in the area! Dogs have always been part of my family. I have ample experience walking my own dogs, co-workers dogs, and friends dogs. My whole life revolves around my pup, and I would love to help care for yours! I currently work a rotating schedule, so I am available to help with pet needs during my off days! My husband also helps with care, and he is an even bigger animal lover!! I have a large front and back yard for pups to play. The backyard is fenced in for extra fun! I have one dog at home (my own 5 year old bernese mountain dog). My pup LOVES to play with all dogs. We frequently visit the dog park to drain the never ending energy!
“Tonya was great with our dog! Great communication. She let us know when she arrived and took photos so that we could see how happy our girl was. We would definitely book again with her!”

About: What sets me apart from other sitters is my real-life experience and deep love for dogs. I currently care for 4 dogs (and used to have 5), so I know firsthand how much attention, patience, and love they need. I regularly walk and play with them around our yard, and when we lived in a neighborhood, I often took them for walks through the area. I'm comfortable with dogs of all sizes and ages, and I'm especially good at creating a calm and caring environment. Whether it's playtime, a walk, or just company, I treat every dog like family. Pet care fits perfectly into my routine because I’m home for the summer and fully available whenever needed. I have a flexible schedule and can easily adjust to meet your pet’s needs, whether it’s a quick walk, a long visit, or regular check-ins throughout the day. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or my client’s, safety and comfort always come first. I make sure each pet feels calm and secure by keeping a close eye on them, following any special instructions, and giving them lots of love and attention. I’m used to creating a pet-friendly environment with safe spaces to play, rest, and explore. I also make sure they stay on their regular feeding, potty, and walk schedule so they feel right at home, even when they’re not.
About: I’ve had animals my whole life. Dogs, cats, rabbits and horses. I speak cat very well. Dogs I’m almost fluent in. I worked for a vet during college Currently unemployed and have an open schedule. I will stay overnight if needed or just drop in during the day. Not really great with snakes. I can not sit at my home as my roommate has a dog and allergic to cats. Best if I watch in your home. I don’t mind driving to your home to watch your fur babies.
About: As an animal owner myself, I know what I look for in a pet sitter, your fur babies will be cared for just as you care for them. I also do photography as a hobby, you will always have cute photos sent to you. I am a stay at home mom, because my schedule is flexible, I'm able to work around what is needed for taking care of your fur babies. I have found that when a new person enters an animals schedule, staying on the schedule they are used to helps everyone adjust. I feel keeping the animal (s) on a schedule they're used to is helpful.
About: Animals are my joy. Dogs especially.I grew up with them, rescued some, trained some, companioned some, and I have one of my own! I have a spoiled 90lb Shepherd who I have fully trained and who I love so much. I believe all pets deserve the best life we can give them. I hope to give your pets love, freedom, learning and fun time! I currently work part time caring for people :). But as my passion in caring for animals grow I’d like to have more for time for this. My schedule is pretty flexible and I am willing to be what you need for your fur baby! I have a dog park and a fur baby to keep your company at my home. Whatever you need for your pet in your home, I will provide!
About: I’ve grown up with dogs all of my life. We always had a furry friend in the house. As I got older I also started pet sitting for my siblings, mother, and friends. I have experience with younger dogs, older dogs, and cats. I love talking them on long walks and getting a good play session in to brighten their day. I live for the cuddles and I let them sleep with me if allowed. It warms my heart to get to meet so many new furry friends! I have a full time work from home job that is very flexible. Getting out the house to do drop ins or walks also helps me to get out of the house and I really look forward to it. House sitting is like a mini vacation to me with furry friends. My door is always open for boarding. Making sure that your pet feels safe and comfortable with me is my number one priority. I give each animal my full attention and devotion. I want them to have a great and fun experience.
About: Hey! I have experience as a veterinary professional with over 10 years of caring for pets, including emergency medicine. I’ve always had a burning passion to care for animals since I was young. I am experienced in giving medications and also providing lots of attention and love while you’re away. I have pets of my own and understand the love, care, and affection they need while you’re away and I know what it’s like to need someone special to take care of them. I enjoy being active so going on walks, playing tug-of-war, or even ball is not a problem. I love to keep pet parents updated with pictures and videos. I like to follow the same routines as you would for your furry family members to ensure they have a calm and comfortable experience. I will provide exceptional and experienced service for you and your furry friends so you can relax in knowing they are safe and comfortable:) We can always figure out a schedule that works for everyone! I am always trying to figure out what works best for everyone’s schedule, so if you have questions we can talk prior to booking. I do not board at my home. Typically to keep a nice stable and calm environment I encourage my clientele to allow me to stay at their home or periodically check in on their pets in their own home. I have found that over the years being in their own home is where pets are most comfortable and safe.

“Tristian, I don’t know how we survived without you before! We can’t thank you enough! Tristian took the best care of our two dogs over Thanksgiving! One of our dogs is a strong 80lb Pitbull on a special raw food diet and takes medication. He was so great with them and took pictures and stayed in communication with us the whole time. We will be using Tristian from now on whenever we can!”

About: I bring the magic where ever I go, especially to visit the dogs and cats of Charleston. I love to take them on adventures to Hampton park, Magnolia Plantation, the island beaches, or around Colonial Lake. Some of my regulars include the 2 cutest Dachsunds downtown. I’m experienced with all breed and sizes! I am a local contractor so my schedule is very flexible. I can do mid day walks or drop ins as long as I don’t have a job to do! I will always take your dog on regular walks and play with younger dogs or any who have the energy. I know how to pet the grumpiest of cats without them walking away! I will give your pet a lot of attention as I know they might be missing you and want them to be relaxed as possible!
“As always, we had Morgan tend to your dog while we were away...and again, she exceeded expectations. We're so excited to have finally found a consitant care giver and hopefully she'll be permanent. Thanks again Morgan, you rock!”

“Sophia is absolutely wonderful! She came by the house today so I could meet her and introduce her to my sweet Theo, and I couldn't be more impressed. She was incredibly kind, warm, and genuinely excited to spend time with Theo. Her love for animals was clear from the start, and I feel completely at ease knowing he’ll be in such great hands. I highly recommend Sophia to anyone looking for a caring and trustworthy pet sitter!”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
