“Tonya was great with our dog! Great communication. She let us know when she arrived and took photos so that we could see how happy our girl was. We would definitely book again with her!”

“ Elise is absolutely amazing! She is extremely reliable, trustworthy, and kindhearted. She sends me multiple pictures of my dog after their walk and while they are playing. It makes me feel good to know that my dog is loved and cared for when I'm not there!”

About: What sets me apart from other sitters is my real-life experience and deep love for dogs. I currently care for 4 dogs (and used to have 5), so I know firsthand how much attention, patience, and love they need. I regularly walk and play with them around our yard, and when we lived in a neighborhood, I often took them for walks through the area. I'm comfortable with dogs of all sizes and ages, and I'm especially good at creating a calm and caring environment. Whether it's playtime, a walk, or just company, I treat every dog like family. Pet care fits perfectly into my routine because I’m home for the summer and fully available whenever needed. I have a flexible schedule and can easily adjust to meet your pet’s needs, whether it’s a quick walk, a long visit, or regular check-ins throughout the day. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or my client’s, safety and comfort always come first. I make sure each pet feels calm and secure by keeping a close eye on them, following any special instructions, and giving them lots of love and attention. I’m used to creating a pet-friendly environment with safe spaces to play, rest, and explore. I also make sure they stay on their regular feeding, potty, and walk schedule so they feel right at home, even when they’re not.
About: I’ve cared for dogs for over 8 years, including my own who has chronic pancreatitis. I’m comfortable with special diets, medication, and senior dog care. I treat every dog like family—patient, loving, and attentive to their individual needs. Whether your pup is high-energy or needs a gentler pace, I’ll provide safe, thoughtful care tailored just for them. Before getting my own dog at 19, I grew up in a home that always had two dogs. Helping care for them was a constant part of my life and taught me the responsibility, empathy, and joy that comes with loving animals. Additionally, I’ve been volunteering at Hallie Hill Animal Sanctuary, which has deepened my experience with dogs of all breeds and backgrounds. I'm currently in graduate school, which gives me a flexible schedule to care for your pups! I'm available for walks and in-home visits on Tuesdays, Fridays, and some weekends (just ask about weekend availability). I make pet care a priority and will always treat your dog with the same love and attention I give my own. When caring for pets in their own home, I prioritize safety, routine, and comfort. I follow all instructions closely—from feeding schedules to preferred walking routes—and make sure your pup feels secure while you're away. I always respect your space, keep things clean, and treat your home and pet with care and kindness. My goal is to maintain a calm, trustworthy presence so your dog stays happy and stress-free in their familiar environment.
About: I have been a vet tech for 14 years now and I absolutely love the work I do. Unfortunately, being a single mother doesn't allow me to fully commit to veterinary clinic hours. I am starting up my own mobile pet service business called Pampered Pet. I provide excellent pet care along with other services such as nail trims, sanitary and paw shave, baths and more. I will give your fur-baby lots of love and attention so you can rest your mind knowing your pet is in great hands. If there happens to be an emergency situation while I am there, I know what steps to take and have veterinarian contacts on hand. I am committed to all my clients and their fur-babies. Please contact me with any questions. I look forward to meeting you and your fur-baby. I currently run my own business so I will have plenty of time to give your fur baby the attention and loving they deserve while you are away. We are working on a fence at the moment. Your pup will love playing with my sweet yellow lab. If needed, I can always put my dog in his kennel. I do not foresee that happening though.
About: I have taken care of dogs since I was 15 years old. I absolutely love dogs and I have sweet spot for Golden Retreivers since I have one of my own. I love being able to play with dogs and walk them during the day since I work from home. I treat any dog as if they are my own. I will always ensure they are well exercised, cuddled, fed, and most of all loved. I work from home each day so I have a very flexible schedule. I live in an apartment that my golden retreiver loves to play in and we take several walks around the neighborhood to ensure the dogs get the proper exercise that they need. I love to keep dogs active while they are staying at my apartment. From playing fetch, to walks, I always will ensure your dogs are happy and loved.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
