“Elora is amazing! She saved our butts and booked last minute for a vacation we had planned. She took care of our pup for 5 days in our home and we were so glad he had someone like Elora as company every day. She was friendly, responsive and gave daily updates on our doggy. Definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a great sitter.”

“Jessie was absolutely incredible with our dogs, Snickers and Olive. From the moment we left, I felt completely at peace knowing they were in such caring and capable hands. She treated them like her own and kept us updated with the sweetest, most thoughtful photos—it truly meant so much to us. You can tell she genuinely loves what she does. Coming home to happy, relaxed pups says everything. We are beyond grateful and will absolutely be using her again!”

“Tabi, Mia and Sadie let us know that Shuree took excellent care of our dogs for 7 days. She stayed with them and fed and medicated them. She took them for a walk and kept them safe. She was very responsive to my questions and sent cute photos of them. We will use her services again and can recommend her to others.”

“We are very picky with our pet sitter since our pets need a little bit of more attention than usual. Charlene was fantastic. She sent regular updates and even picked up our cat’s meds at the vet. Our kids ( we call them kids) were happy and looking healthy when we got home. The house was clean and organized, which is great. We would definitely recommend her to anyone looking a great sitter. We will definitely book her again.”
“Trevor was great. He is an amazing dog sitter and an amazing house guest. He did a meet and greet a few weeks before to meet Murphy which was nice. Murphy instantly liked him (and Murphy can be particular). He sent pictures of the dogs playing and was very communicative. We will definitely use Trevor again.”

“We have two Beagles, a 16 year old and a 7 year old who is a medical testing facility rescue. Because of the age of the 16 year old and the sometimes jumpy nature of our rescue beagle, we are very selective of who watches them when we are away. Beyond the needs of the dogs, there is the concerns of having someone you may not know well staying in your home while away. In both regards, we had no concerns with Aariah at all. Our dogs instantly loved her and were excited to have her around and as for us, we could tell that she was exactly what we were looking for. Aariah is polite, responsive and shows a genuine care toward the dogs. She left everything tidy and well cared for. We have already booked her again and would recommend her to others as well.”

About: Hello! I’ve been house/pet sitting for around 5 years now. I have experience with a variety of animals at all stages of life. I will follow your directions to the letter and care for your babies as if they were my own. I have had pets since I was five until recently. I currently am looking to add clients for pet care. Let’s chat and see if we mesh! I currently do gigs, mostly pet sitting, right now for income. So thats where my focus is these days! I take daily walks and would be sure to bring your baby with me! I am getting into grooming to add as a service to my clients. Currently I do not have any pets myself. My parents do have a dog and when I am there I take him out for walks and runs, brush him, love on him. I would follow your directions as to how to care for the baby animals.
About: Hello, I am a patient and kind care provider for pets of all sizes, ages, and energy levels; including exotics and livestock. In addition to growing up on the Vargas Cattle Ranch in Fremont, California, I have many years experience as a foster pet mom and respite pet caregiver. My specialties are orphan care and special needs requiring medication and or specialized attention after surgery. I have occasionally provided respite to animal rescue homes with up to 15 animals when the proprietors are out of state on vacation. In addition, I scored a proficient level on "Indeed's" veterinarian technician assessment in the areas of knowledge of common medications, vaccines in medical tests as well as skill in addressing animals needs during treatment. I am also a retired certified nurse aide with first responder medical training, a safe driver with car insurance, and a trusted provider with a clean Federal back ground clearance as a Notary Public for the state of California. I serve all of Amador County. Although I would consider other counties on a case by case basis. I am a retired Health Care Provider with many years of Special Needs Pet Sitting experience and prefer to stay busy on my 3 acres of fenced in property. My pets and the pets that I host enjoy joining me on morning and afternoon walks on trails and playing fetch. I keep a close eye on them when we are outside. Then we all snuggle up on the couch and dog beds after meals while we watch a fun movie together.
About: I have always had the responsibility of caring for my own animals, but I love getting to help other people care for their pets. I love meeting new animals and have lots of experience in this area. I have been walking dogs around my neighborhood since I was about 10 years old. I loved this experience which is why I have decided to dedicate myself to this line of work so I can always be available to help an animal in need. Currently I work an evening shift at a restaurant 4 nights a week so I have the day open before 5 pm Friday through Monday and Tuesday Wednesday Thursday I am completely available. My schedule also will be opening up more soon. I have a very large area for dogs to run around and two very friendly dogs of my own. I always start by making sure the space is free of any hazards, like toxic plants or loose wires and that they have a cozy spot just for them. Building trust is key, so I take things slow, using positive reinforcement like treats and praise to create a bond. Whether it's playtime or just chilling, I'm all about keeping their routine consistent to minimize stress.
“Autumn did a great job. Nicky, Misty and Cooper were plenty happy and relaxed when we got home. The house was in the shape that we left it, and hopefully Autumn enjoyed her time at the house with our babies. We would definitely ask her back.”
“Kimberleigh was our guardian angel for a last minute booking. Our tiny puppy loved her and she was so patient with his teething and menacing behavior. Thank you, Kimberleigh, I hope you can watch Rambo again for us in the future.”

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Arnold walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Arnold maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Arnold choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Arnold. On Rover:
- 100% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
