1. Claire W.
“I'm Claire's father. Before Claire was born, I was a regular guy with some knowledge of animals, but not a lot. Starting with a stray cat in our garage when she was three-years-old, who she kept and named Moonshadow, Claire was a natural at getting animals to trust her. Me, not so much because sometimes I didn't understand them, and whenever that happened they scared me a little. I was ready for them to react badly and had planned out my response ahead of time. The nervous animals could tell I was thinking this, and they stayed away. I watched little Claire control excited dogs at the park who were thrilled that someone understood them. I watched her calm scared stray cats who appreciated a rare petting and socializing. I started learning by copying Claire's technique of movement and body language to gain an animal's trust. It came together with practice, and you were either born with it or you learned it by example from an expert. Claire was born with it, and she has always been my go-to expert for animal problems.”
2. Trevor P.
“Trevor house-sat for me for 3 weeks while my family was in Europe. I felt confident that my house and pets would be well taken care of and they were. We returned to a very clean and tidy home and would gladly employ his services again. Highly recommended.”

About: I grew up on a ranch, so I have extensive experience with all types of birds, horses, goats, cats, and dogs. I’ve house/pet sit for family and friends over the years. I have one fur baby of my own that stays with my parents when I’m not home. Dogs are the sweetest animals to walk this earth, change my mind. I work three days a week traveling, so I typically have 4 days a week available. Can travel in the Calaveras and Tuolumne county areas. My schedule give me the flexibility to check in with your pet throughout the day. Unfortunately, I don’t offer pet sitting for my house as I live with friends. I’m happy to take care of your pet in the comfort of their own home/ safe space. I am ever vigilant on walks and take into account things like daily temperature when scheduling or planning walks/outings.
4. Ericka C.
“Ericka was excellent with my dog, while doing an overnight stay for a couple days and nights. She watched him very closely and even discovered a medical issue that I hadn’t noticed, which was thankfully caught in time because of her!!! My dog loved her as well, so I will definitely be using her services again!!”

About: Willing to take care of most any dogs of all shapes and sizes, while watching your home. I love all animals but am most fond of dogs :) Although I grew up with cats, I am not generally a cat person unless they are super chill/nice. My grandparents owned a pet store in Alameda when I was younger called "The Living Picture" and I had to feed/water all the animals, so I do have the experience, but I'd say more recently it's just been dogs and the occasional cat. Just let me know what you have, and I'll let you know my comfort level. :) I am willing to travel outside of my area (Dorrington/Big Trees) for pet sitting but would like to keep dog walking and drop-ins to my general area of Big Trees/Arnold/Murphys. If you do not live in those areas, then it would be a 1 hour minimum for all walking & drop-in services. I'm currently available full-time for pet/house sitting so I will be able to give both your beloved animal(s) and your home my full attention (as long as I'm not booked)! I will keep my calendar up to date so you can rely on what it says. While pet/house sitting I will walk and play with your fur-baby(s) as much as they like or can handle. I will also send photos to you on a daily basis! I am willing to do other things like pick up dog poop in your yard (if that is where they go), bring in mail, water plants, etc. My rates are set for everyday animals and not 'special needs', so if your doggie or cat needs special attention or has behavioral issues then my rate would go up and reflect the amount of extra care or attention your fur baby requires.
6. Shannon H.
“My husband and I found Shannon last minute right before going on a 3 day trip. We were pleasantly surprised after the initial nervousness of leaving "Indigo" our 4 year old blue nose pitbull with a stranger. Shannon kept us up to date with emails and photos of all the fun Indigo was having....and she did everything we asked. I was enthralled to pick up a my freshly washed and tail wagging baby girl! I definitely will be using her services next time I need a sitter. Please feel free to contact me Ester Murray at 650-898-4936 if you want to discuss Shannon's qualifications and experience further. I’d be happy to expand on my testimony.”

About: I am a dog owner of 2 German shepherds and previously I had 2 black labs. I have trained them all to be off leash walkers and very well mannered in public areas. My love for animals is dramatic and I aspire to give the affection to more animals than I can contain in my own home. I am a stay at home mom so I am home all day every day. Our weekend are typically free outside of an arcade visit on some Saturdays. I am vigilant in my efforts to keep dogs safety and happiness my top priority. My dogs have given me so much in my life that I only want every dog to have the best life they can live. I am excited to show animals the love and affection that they lack when their parents go on vacation.

10. Cheyanna W.
“Cheyanna has been my dog sitter for more than three years. I travel regularly and she is always ready and reliable. My Blondie is an older dog with some continence issues. She is always excited to see Cheyanna and runs to her whenever I drop her off. I’ve never had any issues with her care. Cheyanna has a heart for dogs. She is kind and gentle. And she’s a walker. I know Blondie has the very best care with her. I recommend her to any dog owner. Drue”

14. Jenny J.
“Jenny came highly recommended to us by a friend; she has by far exceeded our expectations. She is very reliable, trustworthy, nurturing and kind and takes excellent care of our Golden Retriever and our home while we're away. Our house always looks better when we return home than when we left and best of all our dog loves her so he is never stressed when we leave. We have been through a few pet/house sitters and Jenny gives us total peace of mind when we go away. She is a dream come true for us! We've used Jenny's services several times and will continue to do so. Anyone would be fortunate to have Jenny look after their pet and home and we would highly recommend her.”
