“Sarah was amazing with our dogs, Apollo and Kaiser! She sent regular updates with messages, photos, and videos, which gave us so much peace of mind. The dogs enjoyed regular outdoor playtime, and their rooms were left neat and clean. We’re very happy with the whole experience and will definitely book with her again next time!”

“Emma was fabulous. She sent me texts & pics thru out her stay with my fur babies, which kept me worry free, & I could tell when we got back home that they were all happy. We will definitely be using her in the future. Thank you Emma! You're awesome!”

“Candice did an amazing job taking care of Stu. Though he was happy when we came home, there was absolutely no sign that he was lonely. Its clear that Candice spent ample time making sure he was comfortable. Candice also left the home completely undisturbed. I will use her services again and highly recommend her.”

About: I’ve been working with animals for 15 years, caring for dogs, cats, birds and can help with farm animals as well. I have handled breeds that are small to very large. I am very flexible with my schedule. I love to ensure they are getting their exercise as needed, as well as a well rounded diet. I am a stay at home mom so I am very happy to be with them however they require. We use leashes and harnesses for outside. We have a dog park close by that’s fenced in and safe for giving them running time and ability to play freely
About: I’ve had a LOT of animals throughout my life to include fish, birds, dogs, chinchilla, guinea pigs, horses, goats and pigs. Ive been in the situation of needing a fur baby sitter while having to travel. I currently have 5 dogs and a cat. I’m in the process of creating a dog haven in my big back yard and have an air conditioned inside play/rest area for hot days. I work from home and have an open schedule. I travel some but I can usually adjust it when needed. Last minute requests for weekends are sometimes doable. I have five dogs so I do not stay overnight. I take my dogs on hikes almost daily, weather permitting. We also go shopping at pet friendly stores. I can do one on one visits or your pup can be part of the pack.

About: I’ve lived with animals most of my teenage and adult life. My family pet is a turtle who is about 13 years old now. I currently live with 2 dogs and 5 snakes! I have been a standby stable hand for 4 years now. I love animals and I would love to help you care for your furry friends! I work part time at Chick-fil-A on weekdays from 11-4 but I am off on Tuesdays most weeks. I could and would care for your furry friends before and after work if needed! I have dog sat before and I believe strongly in following the guidelines set by the owner. I think routine is important and I would do everything in my power to keep your furry friends routine! I could feed, train, and walk them however and whenever you want and need.
About: I have definitely been able to take care of any kind of dog along with cleaning up after isn’t a problem for me, so if the dog is either too young or too old to be using the bathroom I can take care of that! I love dogs but I do have two cats and I take care of them daily, so I would love to help others not have to worry about their fur babies when they are at work, vacation and etc. I have a crate for dogs, and a fenced in area with a gate for bigger dogs! I also have a dog of my own to play with!
“Very pleased that Jay was able to take care of my cat, MIka, while I was away. Such a good feeling to travel, knowing that all is well on the home front! Communication was top notch and the care he provided was excellent.”

About: Hello! I have experience dog-sitting a variety of breeds, ranging from very social dogs to those that are more reactive. I am comfortable with dogs that bark, as I understand they can be quite different. One of my own dogs has severe anxiety, so I am familiar with how to manage such situations. Both of my current dogs are large, so I am comfortable caring for dogs of any size. My goal is to ensure the animals feel loved and cared for, so that their owners can have complete peace of mind. I am currently employed full-time, but I have all of my evenings available and am passionate about animals and providing them with the best possible care. I understand when and how to use crates if necessary. I am also familiar with engaging with them through toys and activities! I will make sure they get the proper care.
About: I have lived with dogs my entire life! And I now have had lots of experience watching other people’s dogs as well! I can’t wait to take care of your pup! I have availability throughout the whole week currently. But that is subject to change. I like to spend my off days outside going for walks and enjoying the weather when it’s nice. I like to listen to the clients instructions because every household and every dog is different and has different needs so making sure I follow their rules is the most important thing.
“Mashon is basically a dog whisperer. She was amazing with Heeley. A very calm person. Heeley is a puppy and can be a handful. She handled her with ease. And in a very loving way. Her mom appreciated that. And if mama is happy everyone is :)”

“She took such good care of my two dogs! She stayed over at my house for long hours and made sure they had plenty of play, love, and outside time. The pictures she sent me while away showed that they were sooo happy! I will definitely reach out again!”

“Catherine was a fantastic pet sitter. She is very detailed oriented, an excellent communicator and provides lots professional quality pet pics! We will definitely continue to schedule with her.”

About: I’ve taken care of small dogs and big dogs! I’ve had mean cats and sweet ones. I always seem to get along with them. Animals love me I’ve walked them for neighborhood friend! I can do any pet care after school! I’m a barber and would love to fit in this industry somewhere! I would also be able to board on Friday,Saturday ,and Sunday, also Monday in my home. I have about 2 acres and it’s pretty inclosed. They will not be leg outside unsupervised or without a leash. I have a medium size trailer but it’s on its own land!
“Delaney was fantastic! Was available sort of last-minute and took excellent care of the pets and the house. When I got home, I honestly couldn't tell anyone had even been here, but for the fact that the pets were happy and healthy. :-) She sent updates and pictures, and I never had a worry. Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Anglers Cove walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Anglers Cove maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Anglers Cove choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
