About: I’ve been a dog mom to an amazing pup for 15+ years. My girl is now a blind senior so dog life has become slower paced. I miss long walks/hikes with dogs. I would love to spend time with your four-legged fur babes. I’m an active person who will never skip a walk no matter the weather (unless I can’t physically reach your home due to snow/ice/etc). Puppy to senior, I will take sincere care of your best friend(s). I work from home so have a very flexible schedule with most days available on short notice. I understand that last minute things come up; I am happy to help out in a pinch! I am not able to provide care to your doggo(s) in my own home however would be happy to in yours (your dog’s preferred environment). I am trustworthy, dependable (no flaking on you last minute), and caring. I will treat your home better than my own.

About: I have raised my (almost) 9 year old black lab myself and have extensive experience dog sitting all types of animals. I am the trusted sitter for all of my friends and family. I work from home, which gives me ample time to tend to the needs of animals and can spend plenty of time outside at our neighborhood dog park! Currently, I have one dog and one cat. About: I’ve spent years caring for dogs of all sizes, ages, and personalities — from energetic adventure pups to seniors who need a slower pace and extra patience. I’m especially attentive to routine, behavior cues, and emotional well-being. I take the time to learn what makes each pet feel safe and comfortable, whether that’s sticking closely to their schedule, providing calm companionship, or getting them outside for structured exercise. I have experience with: Puppies (potty routines, basic manners, consistency) Senior dogs (gentle walks, medication reminders, extra monitoring) High-energy dogs who need both physical activity and mental stimulation Anxious or shy pets, using calm handling and positive reinforcement I’m reliable, communicative, and proactive — you’ll receive regular updates, photos, and honest check-ins so you never have to wonder how your pet is doing. I treat every animal as if they were my own, with patience, respect, and genuine care. What truly sets me apart is that I don’t rush care. Your pet gets real attention, not just a check-in — and your peace of mind is just as important to me as their happiness structure my days around the pets I’m caring for, making sure they get consistent attention, walks, meals, playtime, and companionship — not rushed drop-ins. I have the flexibility to: Provide morning, midday, and evening care Take dogs out for regular walks and outdoor time Be present for longer stays and extended companionship Adjust schedules to match your pet’s normal routine I’m mindful of maintaining consistency, especially for pets who thrive on structure or need extra reassurance while their humans are away. Whether it’s a quick check-in, a long walk, or overnight care, your pet is worked into my day as a priority — not an afterthought. I communicate clearly about availability and will always let you know ahead of time if anything changes. I provide care exclusively in my clients’ homes, where pets are most comfortable and routines stay consistent. I follow your instructions closely and treat your space with the same respect I would my own. In your home, I: Maintain your pet’s normal feeding, walking, and medication schedule Provide companionship, playtime, and calm presence (not just quick check-ins) Keep your pet’s environment clean, safe, and low-stress Watch for behavior or health changes and communicate proactively Send regular updates and photos so you feel connected while you’re away I’m attentive to details — from securing doors and gates to respecting house rules and routines. For overnight stays, I ensure pets have consistency, comfort, and reassurance throughout the day and night. My goal is for your pet to feel safe, relaxed, and cared for — and for you to have total peace of mind knowing both your pet and your home are in trustworthy hands.

About: I'll take your dog on all of the adventures! I've never lived without owning a dog and I absolutely adore these amazing animals. I keep my dog active and healthy and love to keep good company for him to enjoy life with. I'm always researching new health tips for my pup and would love to share them with you and your dog! I would like to keep as many dogs as I can active and healthy. I'm available most of everyday, except for days I am in class. I am a nursing student at Colorado Mountain College in Breckenridge and I really enjoy having dogs around as my study buddies. I would like to give what I can to every dog that I have the pleasure of meeting. These animals deserve the world and I'd like to help give them the best care they can get as frequently as they should. I’m currently a student and love to study at home with all the dogs and take plenty of walk breaks! The only time I’m not at home with the dogs is when I’m in class. I have a very friendly boy named Copper who just lost his older brother and is looking for friends to spend time and to play with

About: I absolutely love all animals! I am also very good at keeping up with training. In the past, I volunteered with Spencer Kennel and Pet Rescue in O'Fallon, Illinois. Here in Colorado Springs, I fostered two pit bull terriers for a year long each. Last year, I worked as a dog walker at Sunrise and Woodmen Kennels. I am a kind, responsible person who will ensure the happiness and safety of your pets. When an animal starts acting strange, I am quick to notice, and I am not afraid to contact the owner to ask questions about that behavior. My cousins are veterinarians, so I have the ability to contact them in case of an information emergency. I have a Great Pyrenees Mix and a very fluffy grey cat. I live in Fairplay and work in Breckenridge. My partner is able to stay home with my pets on days when I am needed for overnights. It would be ideal to pet sit near Frisco/Silverthorne/Breckenridge, so that I can easily get to and from your home. If I am having a pet in my home, it will always be kept on a leash outside since I do not have a fenced in yard.

About: I grew up caring for animals on our farm and have always had a deep love for them. My own fur baby Moge passed away a few years ago. He was such a sweet nugget who gave me plenty of experience. I understand how to read animal’s behavior and listen for cues of distress/anxiety. I have experience with dogs of different sizes and breeds. I will treat your fur baby as if they were my own and will respect boundaries and rules that you have in place for their training and schedule. I currently have a flexible schedule and I am able to accommodate many different requests including weekday and weekend house sitting or over night stays. Safety first, during walks I prefer dogs to be on harnesses so as to limit the potential for injuries due to sudden jerks. I know first hand how some pups can get scared of oncoming traffic or excited by other wildlife, your pet’s health is my top concern. Walking should help their health not hurt it. I always allow pets to warm up to me when doing drop in visits and do my best to minimize stress during the visit. An owner’s absence can be confusing and stressful for the pet, it’s important they feel loved and safe. I will do everything I can to adhere to the boundaries you have in place with your pet such as jumping, treats, boundary areas in the home, ect. We can discuss these in detail prior to booking.

Garett did an incredible job walking Bluey through the snowy trails in Fairplay! He captured some beautiful photography along the way — the photos he sent were frame-worthy. They even came across fresh moose tracks, and it was amazing to see Bluey locked in a perfect point like a true pro. I love knowing my pup is not only well cared for, but also getting such fun and enriching outdoor adventures. Highly recommend Garett if you want someone attentive, communicative, and clearly passionate about dogs!

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of July 2026, there are 282 sitters on Rover offering Dog Walking across Alma. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Alma. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Report cards require photos and can include a map of the walking route , total walk time, poop and pee breaks, and distance traveled, so you know exactly where your dog has been walking in Alma.

Got specific details you'd like the dog walker to include? Message them in the app before your dog’s walk begins.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every walker on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Alma. On Rover:

  • 83% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 90% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 100% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
