“Christopher and Sore were amazing! They provided great care for our lab with many updates and pictures. We booked with them last minute for a holiday weekend and they were so accommodating. Our lab can be high energy and anxious at times and we felt like they managed her well while we were gone. We would use them again if we need services in the future. Highly recommend.”

“Danielle is the absolute best, and I’ll hear nothing to the contrary. This was my first time using Rover, and the sitter I originally booked cancelled on me morning of, but Danielle accepted our last minute request on a holiday weekend. I have an old dog with arthritis and medication who can be a picky eater at times, but that was no issue for Danielle. She not only made me feel at ease with constant updates and pictures, but she exercised and socialized him, and he may like her more than me now. My only regrets with this review are that everyone else will book her now and she’ll be unavailable next time we need boarding for a weekend”

I hesitated because they are on the opposite end of town from me (North Birmingham) but ultimately went with Laderius and I’m so glad I did! They are worth it! Great communication, BIG LOVE for our pets, and making sure they enjoyed their “vacation.” Just overall good people. We will be back.”

About: We love dogs! But right now with 7 kids in the throws of school and all the extracurriculars, it’s just not the right time for us to have our own furry family member, so let us love on yours! My husband and I each had dogs growing up and we had a family dog until he passed away a few years ago. We have been boarding, walking, and doing drop-ins since that time. From puppies to senior dogs, we can take care of them all. I am a stay-at-home mom who homeschools my 7 children, so we’re home the majority of the time and will be able to fit in your dog’s regular schedule into our every day routine. When pets stay at our house we do our best to keep the same schedule and expectations the dogs have come to know at their homes. I enjoy going for walks at the park and visiting the dog park with dogs who are accustomed to it. We do not have a fenced yard, so I make sure each pet gets adequate exercise each day on a leash. When I come to your home, I will follow your directions exactly as you desire and provide pictures and GPS “walking time cards” via Rover so you can be assured your pet is receiving the high quality care you paid for!

About: I have had dogs all my life and experienced with young and senior dogs as well and medication management if needed and spoil them rotten in my care 😬 They will get much love and attention as I am a stay home pet mom myself. I am a stay home wife who does not work and love animals so why not give a family a piece of mind that their pet is being loved on and spoiled while they are enjoying vacation or what ever the circumstances may be. My dogs are allowed on the furniture and on the bed and I am not a big fan of crates but will use if owner requests I live in a ranch home so no steps . It is just me and my husband along with my min pin who loves other dogs and a hermit cat who really stays to herself Our home is very clean and maintained . My dog is spoiled more than I wish to admit but wouldn't have it any other way . Plenty of dog treats and toys at my home Your pet can do as they do in my home as they do in there own home ❤️

About: I grew up with dogs and truly can’t imagine life without them (no offense to my cat people 🥰). Caring for dogs has always come naturally to me—I love learning their personalities, reading their cues, and making sure they feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. I have experience with dogs of all ages and sizes, from energetic puppies to senior dogs who need a little extra patience and care. I’ve cared for everything from small breeds to extra-large pups like Great Danes, so I’m comfortable with a wide range of temperaments and needs. I’m especially attentive to details—whether that’s sticking to routines, administering medications if needed, or simply making sure your dog gets plenty of attention and affection. I’m also someone who genuinely enjoys spoiling pups (in the best way!). I’m very responsive and prioritize regular updates and photos so you always have peace of mind while you’re away. I love being active and spending time outdoors, so walks and playtime are something I truly enjoy—not just a task to check off. My goal is always to make your pet feel comfortable, cared for, and excited for our time together, and for you to feel completely confident they’re in good hands. hi, my name is Alyse! I am a life-long dog mom, now with a lot more time on my hands, while job hunting! I want to be your go to for all things doggy care! I live In a house in Irondale, AL (fenced backyard + doggy door). I am available *daily* to help you and your pup, and can’t wait to connect and meet your baby! I have two dogs, they are my world. I want to be confident in who I entrust to provide care for them and I want to provide the same comfort for you and your dog. I am committed to providing the very best care for your dog! -I’m available for walks / drop ins from 5:30 AM-10PM Monday through Sunday (unless otherwise noted on my calendar.) -If you have any specific requests/need anything particular for your pup (schedule, potty breaks, feeding, water, brushing, walks, amount of drop in visits, dog park) just let me know, I am more than happy to accommodate! - I am also available for doggy sitting and boarding seven days a week unless otherwise noted on my schedule! -dogs will need to have vaccines, and be on flea prevention -I do request meeting prior to dog sitting / boarding - I live in a little neighborhood, two story house with a fenced back yard + doggy door. My dogs: - I do have two pups at home, one geriatric Austrian shepherd husky mix sweet as he can be, and a two year old bichon poodle mix that loves to socialize. Both are very friendly with other animals and happy to have company. I’ll be available to take your dog for as many potty breaks as needed (or requested by owner) and daily walks (and/or walks to the neighborhood dog park - I will always check with owner prior regarding preferences and any specific needs for your pup and their routine! Info on Dog Sitting/Boarding: Daily walks are a must and will be provided with dog sitting / boarding. About me: -A bit about me— I’m a Mississippi State grad, hail state! :) - (don’t worry I won’t ring the cowbell). I have a small fenced yard + doggy door but always take them on daily walks! I do have two dog parks in my neighborhood so lots of room to run around and play. I have two sweet dogs at home, a two year old bichon poodle mix 12 lb (Lulu) and an 11 year old Australian Shepard Husky Mix (Mav) that wouldn’t hurt a fly but still loves to throw a toy up in the air when he is excited! I feed the dogs separately and keep a close eye because maverick loves to snag a bite of Lulu’s food when she gets distracted.

Frequently asked questions about Rover

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.

96% of sitters in Allgood can provide daily exercise during dog boarding stays. Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, this may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.

During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.

Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Allgood home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:

  • Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
  • Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
  • Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Allgood.

Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Allgood. On Rover:

  • 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

You and your Allgood sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in AL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

Adding another pup to the pack? Most sitters and walkers offer a reduced rate for additional dogs. You’ll find these exact rates listed under the "Services" tab on any sitter's profile. Since every dog is unique, final pricing may vary depending on the level of care required.
