About: Besides caring for my own dog for nearly 13 years, including nearly a year of hospice care, I also have experience volunteering at animal sanctuaries and cat-sitting for roommates and neighbors. I consider companion animals to be family members, and the care I provide reflects that belief. I work from home, and my schedule is flexible, so I’m easily able to accommodate anything an animal in my care needs, any time of day. Because I work remotely, I’m able to keep your dog or cat company all day while house-sitting. I'll stay at your home so your pets can keep their normal routine, environment, and yard. For drop-ins and walks, my flexible schedule allows me to stop by multiple times for walks, meals, potty breaks, playtime, or just hanging out. About: I have owned cats all of my life and owned dogs the last 25 years of my life. I have owned a 70 pound Sulcata Tortoise and chickens as well. I currently have a two dogs in my home who are dog and cat friendly. I am retired so my schedule is very open. I am doing this to keep myself busy and happy as well as your animals! I prefer to do walking before 5pm. My home is air conditioned and the only humans inside are myself and my husband. I have a fenced backyard with full lawn. I have a dog door that animals can go in and out of freely.
About: I have been surrounded by cats since I was a baby. I currently have two cats and would love to take care of yours like it was mine! I was trying to make a cat only profile but I could not find the only option. I'm currently trying to build a playpen out of my garage to board cats only. Each cat will have a big size enclosure and have individual brakes to play and roam around the playpen by himself. I plan to keep them separate from other possible guest cats to avoid any physical confrontation. You can bring your own food, toys and bed. About: From neighbors, friends to family i’ve dog sat for anyone i could for years now on my free time. I have always had pets growing up as a child and my love for them has grown into my adulthood even more, I am currently a student at Carrington college pursuing a career in Vet Med. In my home I care for my cat Bella by giving her lots of love and making sure to keep her litter box cleaned and let her have her outside time around the yard. My cat Toby, I give him treats and try to teach him some tricks. Give lots of attention and time to play with his toys. He’s a little monster but I love him. Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
