“Kayla did an awesome job with my kiddos and really saved me by jumping in at the last minute when I needed coverage. She followed all my over-the-top instructions and was timely, neat, and provided photos with every visit. I will trust her with my babes again. Thanks Kayla, you rock!”

About: I'm a lifelong animal lover with plenty of experience! I've always had pets in my life, and believe spending time with them is therapeutic. I’ve had many dogs (large and small), including very energetic border collies, as well as lap dogs and cats. I've also had pet rabbits, hamsters, chameleons, fish and tree frogs, and I've even rescued 6 squirrels. I have several years of experience dog-sitting, including over-nights for several weeks with multiple large dogs at a time. I love nature, hiking and running and would love to take your dog with me to explore the outdoors! I will give your pet lots of love and affection and treat them like my own! If your pet has any special needs, please let me know. I am very trustworthy, reliable, responsible and communicative. I earned my bachelor's degree in both Art Education and Psychology. I'm a former teacher, nanny and Behavioral Health Technician. Currently I'm a self-employed professional watercolor artist. When you book with me, you are also supporting a working artist. NOTE: * I charge $30 for Meet and Greets to cover my time and travel. * If the rates listed on my profile don't work for you, please let me know and I'll see if I can accommodate your budget. * I have a sweet border collie named Morris who is very friendly and loves to play with other dogs! He is a social, submissive, energetic, and playful pup. He has loved every dog and person he's ever met and has never shown any signs of aggression. For the safety and comfort of your dog and mine, I only accept friendly, well-socialized dogs. I’m a self-employed artist who is at home full-time with a very flexible schedule. I will try my best to work with your schedule. I welcome last-minute bookings and cancellations. I am very trustworthy, reliable, responsible and communicative. About: I've been caring for dogs for over 20 years. In the last 10 years I have been fostering retired racing grey hounds and huskies so I'm ready to give every dog in between the care and attention they deserve. I have regularly watched friends and families animals since I was young. I am excited for every opportunity to get to know new dogs and fall more in love with my regulars! Please let me be your peace of mind the next time you're out of town! I'm currently have a lot of free time on my hands and would love to fill that time with taking care of sweet loveable pets. As with any of my ventures, I put forth 100% of my energy to making sure your pet has a great time while you're away. I guarantee a calm, happy and healthy pet upon your return! I've seen dogs become less anxious when they are staying in their own home, in the neighborhood they know. They know you will eventually return and they dont need the transition time it takes for them to become comfortable in a unfamilar place. For that reason, I do like to promote house sitting as the least stressful method of boarding for nervious pets. Please let me know if you require any plants to watered as id be happy to help you in any other way I can. I prefer to keep my bookings to one dog or one family at a time. This is to ensure I give each dog my full attention to keep them safe and happy while yall are missing eachother! This means that I prefer walking in quiet neighborhoods instead of a park with more distractions so I can get familiar with your dog's responses and they can get familiar with me during our first few walks together. After a few walks, and your permission, we can go to dog parks where we slowly work up to being unleased. I strive for 2 or more walks a day during the summer, 3 or more walks a day during spring, fall, and winter. When we arent walking or playing outside, me and your pets will be chilling inside with 2 or more feedings a day. If you book on a holiday it is likely I will have freeze dried chicken or salmon wet food to give your pet as a special holiday treat! I feel that if its a human holiday, its also a special day for our pets because they're family.
About: I am good with training and obedience but I am very patient and understanding when it comes to behavior. I am very caring with special needs pets or senior pets. I am available anytime, I do not have anything that would get in the way of caring for another pet. my schedule is usually free i will diligently stick to your feeding and potty schedules, pay close attention to your dog's body language, and keep them safely leashed or inside
About: Hi! I’m Celeste — your dog’s new favorite auntie 🐾 I’m a lifelong animal lover originally from Denver, now living right in downtown Asheville with my 5-year-old “puppy” (yes, she still thinks she’s a baby). We go on daily mountain walks, explore the city, and spend way too much time cuddling — so your dog will fit right into our routine. I’m dependable, nurturing, and super communicative. I’ll treat your fur baby like my own, keep you updated with plenty of photos, and make sure they feel safe, loved, and entertained the whole time. Whether your pup needs hikes, chill couch time, consistent structure, or someone who just gets dog personalities — I’m your girl. Can’t wait to meet your four-legged best friend! 🐶💛 I do work a full time job that is Monday - Friday 9-5 and livr in Arden. In the weekends I am absolutely free and I am able to house sit and dog walk. I would be available on the weekdays depending on your location and if the animals can be alone for 8 hours. In My Home: I create a calm, safe, and loving environment. I live in downtown Asheville with my friendly 5-year-old pup, and we follow a steady routine of walks, playtime, and mellow downtime. Visiting pets get the same treatment as my own — constant supervision, lots of affection, fresh water at all times, and a cozy place to relax. I keep my space clean, dog-proofed, and stress-free so every animal feels comfortable and at home. In Their Home: I follow your pet’s normal routine to keep them grounded and secure. I handle feeding, walking, potty schedules, medication (if needed), enrichment, and plenty of snuggles. I’m big on communication, so you’ll get updates and photos as often as you’d like. My goal is to make sure your pet feels safe, loved, and understood while you’re away — no disruption, just comfort.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first .
sitters on Rover set their own , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
