I’m Courtney – lifelong animal lover, seasoned pet parent, and your pet’s next favorite human. 🐾 From fluffy kittens to wise senior pups, I’ve cared for just about every kind of furry (and finned!) friend you can think of - cats, dogs, fish, hamsters, guinea pigs, rabbits… basically everything except the slithery and scaly crew (sorry, lizards and snakes, you're adorable but not my specialty!). With a lifetime of experience and a current household that includes four cats and two dogs (yes, it’s as wonderfully chaotic as it sounds), I’ve seen it all - from zoomies and belly rubs to insulin shots and joint supplements. I’ve raised pets from their earliest days through to their golden years, including those with special needs like hip dysplasia and diabetes. Let’s make your time away as stress-free as a sunny nap in a windowsill. ☀️🐕🐈‍⬛ I have a flexible daytime desk job, allowing me to set my own schedule and typically wrapping each day by 5p so my evenings are free. I'm happily married and my husband also works a flexible day job so he is able to hold down the fort with our pets and teens so that I can take care of your family when you're away! I'd love to provide your pet with drop-in care that suits their individual and unique needs, whether that's going for walks, playing in an enclosed yard, or hanging out for a bit for belly rubs, cuddles, and treats. I'm flexible to each pet's needs and want to be sure they feel loved and cared for in your absence. And of course, it's important to me to be sure they are in a clean, safe, fed environment during the times that I'm not there - whether that means making sure water dishes are full, messes are cleaned up, doors are secured, temperatures are comfortable, etc. I've worked with pets who prefer crate-training to those who are allowed free reign, and am comfortable with whatever YOUR structure is for your pet. If they're happy, I'm happy.

About: I have been pet sitting for 3 years and love all animals! I have a perfect setup for animal care, including a walking trail behind my house. I’m home during the week-I have 2 middle school aged boys that are in school and my husband works long hours. I am able to get up early for morning walks or feedings. I have a fenced in yard, with stairs leading to a deck, walk out basement with kitchenette for food storage, play area, and a resting bedroom.

“Karen was truly AMAZING, and we cannot recommend her highly enough! This was our first time ever leaving our two-year-old pups, Ziggy and Ellie, with anyone, and we were going to be away for a very long trip. Naturally, we were nervous, but from the very beginning, Karen made the entire process feel seamless and immediately helped put our minds at ease. Before our meet and greet, I let Karen know that our schnauzer, Ziggy, can be protective when meeting someone new. Karen knew exactly how to approach the situation and took the time to make him feel comfortable and safe. It was clear right away that she is experienced with dogs and genuinely understands and cares about them. While we were away, Karen treated Ziggy and Ellie as if they were her own. She sent us daily updates, pictures, and videos, which meant more to us than she probably realizes. Being so far away from them for the first time was difficult, and seeing their faces and knowing they were happy, safe, and being loved gave us so much peace of mind. Unfortunately, both of our dogs became sick while we were gone, which meant a lot of extra work, cleanup, and special attention. Karen never hesitated. She went above and beyond to care for them and even had to take Ellie to the veterinarian. At times, we had limited phone service while traveling, and Karen helped communicate with the vet and made sure we stayed informed and Ellie received the care she needed. Having someone we could trust to handle such a stressful situation while we were so far away was absolutely invaluable. Karen exceeded every expectation we had. She wasn't simply a pet sitter—she became someone we completely trusted with two very important members of our family. Knowing that Ziggy and Ellie were being cared for with so much patience, compassion, and love allowed us to enjoy our trip without constantly worrying about them. Words truly cannot express how grateful we are for everything Karen did for Ziggy and Ellie and for us. We came home to two pups who had clearly been very loved and well cared for. We would trust Karen with them again without hesitation and feel incredibly fortunate to have found her. Thank you, Karen, for loving and caring for Ziggy and Ellie like they were your own. ❤️🐾”
