“I’m always nervous to leave my dog with someone new but they were great to work with, communicative and always answered any questions I had about how Abbey was doing. They have a lovely home with a sunroom and amazing backyard perfect for curious doggos wanting to stare at birds and chipmunks all day. Thank you for looking over my fur baby!”

“Hazel always has a great stay with Jonathan and Jen! We can’t thank them enough for putting up with her puppy energy while we’re away. Heck, she usually sleeps for a day or two after stay she has so much fun.”

“Darby is so kind and caring. Anyone can see how much she loves dogs. She is also so understanding and flexible when plans change. She is the best and I would never hesitate to leave my little guy with her!”

“Link enjoyed his stay. The videos of him having zoomies don’t lie. Picked him up and he was tuckered. Thank you Curtis, Lindsey and family for treating Link as one of your own. Will definitely book you guys for future times when Link can’t travel with us.”

“Thank you so much for taking such phenomenal care of Snoopy! You completely put our minds at ease from the start. The daily photo updates were great and put our minds at ease. It was clear that he was in good hands. Snoopy came home happy and relaxed and we will definitely be booking again!”

“John and Jess were absolutely lovely! They had my two boys over the weekend and I will 100% be using them again, they were very communicative and incredibly kind. So many pictures and videos and my dogs had a great time! I would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for a safe, kind place to stay! Thanks again John and Jess!”

About: I have been pet sitting for 3 years and love all animals! I have a perfect setup for animal care, including a walking trail behind my house. I’m home during the week-I have 2 middle school aged boys that are in school and my husband works long hours. I am able to get up early for morning walks or feedings. I have a fenced in yard, with stairs leading to a deck, walk out basement with kitchenette for food storage, play area, and a resting bedroom.
“Mila is a great fit for our dog Ramona, who is a companion dog and loves to be with people but is a bit afraid of other dogs. Mila sends updates and pictures throughout the stay and we feel confident that Ramona is well cared for while we are away. This was Ramona's second stay with Mila and we already have another booking with her. We love Mila!”

“Kemberlei did such a great job with our dog Luna. Luna only weighs 5 pounds, but she makes up for it with her attitude!! She demands a lot of attention. Kemberlei kept us up to date with daily photos from the dog park and all the fun things that Luna got to do with Kemberlei and her family! So thankful to find her! Giant thank you to Kemberlei and can’t wait to go out of town again!”

“Jennifer took wonderful care of our dog while we were gone for a week!! She was flexible with scheduling and even accommodated a last minute change to keep him an extra day. She sent frequent photo and walk updates. She is very professional and got to know me and our dog during our meet and greet before we booked with her. It was such a pleasure working with Jennifer. Will 100% be booking with her again!”

“Sophia took excellent care of our two pups while we were traveling! She was very communicative and sent lots of photos so we could see how they were doing. Her backyard was the perfect place for the dogs to get exercise. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a fun and comfortable stay for their dog.”

“This is our second time with Lora. My pup loves visiting her home. You can tell how passionate she is about dogs and being a great sitter. She sent updates throughout my pups stay and makes him feel right at home. It’s almost like his second home. She has all the toys, a huge back yard and provides lots of love. If you are in need of a sitter I highly recommend Lora. Not only is she great but her family is as well. Her home is very clean and pet friendly. You will definitely be leaving your pup in good hands with Lora. I can travel with a peace of mind when my pup is with her.”
“Dorian took care of our senior dog with special needs during our travel out of state. I am really thankful to Dorian for his attention and care of Nina and for going above and beyond to make her comfortable and well cared for.”

“Kimberly is the best, she took such great care of my Neco. She cared for him for 6 days through the Thanksgiving Holiday. She sent me great pictures and videos of him daily. She is a true dog lover. I will definitely be booking her again to care for my dog.”

“I’m so glad I left Apollo with Rebecca and her family while my husband and I were out of town. She took care of Apollo and made sure he was fed, active and happy. He wasn’t eating his own food and wanted the other pup’s food, and Rebecca was absolutely open on feeding Apollo her own pup’s food just so that he could eat. Apollo was getting spoiled the whole weekend. I can’t wait to use Rebecca and her family again to sit Apollo again. Thank you again for everything!”

“Our Hendrix was well loved during his stay with this family. I received updates and pictures along with a video of him playing with the children. Tail wagging and quite talkative during my pickup I knew he was left in good hands big and small. I wouldn't hesitate to use them in the future.”

“Chloe did SUCH a spectacular job of taking care of my Furbaby while I was away on my vacation. I am so super impressed by her knowledge of how to handle and take care of dogs; She knew exactly what my dog needed so that he would be comfortable, and Chloe was able to calm his nerves while I was away-especially since he is so attached to me. Chloe is the absolute sweetest and is the 100% Go-To Dog Pro! I could not recommend her anymore! Thank You Chloe!!!:)”

“Emily was able to watch our dogs with no notice. She was awesome and so caring. Definitely would have my pups stay with her again. She has a great property for the dogs to run loose. They loved it!”

“Gail and Kris took such good care of Mochi! He had so much fun on his own vacation and was super happy! We’re so glad to have found such good caretakers for him and will definitely use their services in the future.”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Windsor View home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Windsor View.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Windsor View sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MD ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
